I've been there before but it has been a while. Do to my nail tech being sick I stopped by there to get a feel-in. Which he said would be $150 (my nails are long but that's all full set price) plus he didn't know how to do any thing but normal polish. I was the only African American in there. So then they start speaking their language and now their laughing at this point. The man sitting behind the one that was talking to me looked around at me so I spoke. I went there for many years. The staff ran hot and cold in friendliness. And one day I went in with a gift card which had expired. I couldn't get there because of the Covid, and during that time my husband passed away. There was no expiration date on the gift card, And they did not want to honor it. After pointing out that there was no expiration date and that I couldn't get there because of the Covid and my husband passing away they finally let me use half of the value of the card. I have been here many times and I've always recommended it but today was the last straw and will not be back nor will I recommended this place to others anymore. The pedicure is always pretty good if one of the older women is doing it. The nails are hit and miss...mostly miss these days. I got my nails dipped for the second time today. He not only used the wrong color but it is very thick and looks globbed on. The nails aren't shaped well and it looks like I did it at home myself. He didn't touch my cuticles or clean under my nails. I work in the garden a lot and my nails need a lot of help. They look terrible and I'm out $100. Very disappointed. read more

I just moved to the Taylors area and i needed a full set and to find a salon local to me. . . Glad i found this salon on yelp and tried them out. Everyone in the shop was friendly and pleasant I had a really basic set done because my friend was going to design my nails aLOT more intricately for my birthday and my nails came out great I've had no breaks they cut them as short as i wanted for work and everything. My only complaint would be getting charged more to have color tips and not being told how much the additional cost is until after you selected what you want. read more

THE WORST PEDICURE I have EVER had! -skin scrubbed raw -blood drawn -left with open wounds I have visited Elegant nails several times without a bad experience. Today I did not have a good experience. It was terrible. I got the pedicure with salt scrub. I always get salt scrub every time I have a pedicure at this location and at other nail salons. The lady violently scrubbed my feet. It was so violent that her nails broke my skin and caused me to bleed even though she was wearing rubber gloves. I asked her to stop and wash the salt off and just use lotion but she mumbled something in broken English and tugged even harder. I had to pull my legs up and away from her and use a stern upset voice to get her to stop. I told her to stop and wash it all off immediately. I never got a massage. The violent painful sanding was all I received. I voiced my complaint and showed the wounds to a lady who spoke better English. She apologized but I was still charged the full price. I would have appreciated a discount or free pedicure for my next visit. But they did nothing to correct the issue. I will not be returning. read more

The last time I had my nails filled in. The owner Tim worked on me and he was rough and sanded my finger nails and my skin and cut me . Also hit my ring with the nail sander. Not only are they practically around the corner from me, but they are all so friendly. I typically only get my nails done once or twice a year, but that pedicure was so nice I can hardly wait to go back! I got the deluxe pedicure and the basic manicure (no acrylics- I'm a natural gal). Though they are practically perfect in every way, I only gave it 4 stars because I am a total sucker for a more pleasing aesthetic as well as being offered a beverage and maybe a magazine. My eldest introduced me to this place. I was hesitant at first 'cause I am already afraid of nail salon staff. They do it fast, don't pay attention to what they are doing, and you'll come out with your fingers bleeding. Elegant Salon is different. The staff including the owner are very friendly and very accommodating. They take very good care of your skin, pay attention to what they are doing, and most important of all, I left that place with not even one single finger is bleeding. They are the BEST! I don't go anywhere else! I've had pedicures and manicures there several times and I am always happy. Me and my sisters go at least once every three weeks and they remember our names and even our crazy kids names too! They always joke and play around with us. The staff has always been very friendly to us and our kids! I've never had to wait for a spot and I've never had an appointment. We usually go in the afternoon. And even though my daughter can't sit still for long they are very patient with her and paint her fingers and toes and help her try to keep them looking perfect until they are dry. They even joke around with the kids and try to make them feel comfortable too! Prices are very good and they also have a punch card after 10 visits you get $10.00 off! read more

Went here for a manicure, because the salon I usually go to didn't have any openings. The people are all nice, however the salon isn't hygienic. The nail tech reused files on me that had been used on other customers. She also used her nail to remove excess polish around my cuticle rather than using an orange wood stick. When I looked up their license after I got home, it's apparently lapsed. This place is unsanitary. read more

So I randomly chose this particular place in hopes of just like an other but nope very highly disappointed and unsatisfied plus relatively looked like a bunch of unprofessional students whose parents let them roam FREE do "do business" anyhow before I got up to leave I ask ,"am I all set?" The young gentleman says, "yes sure go!" So I proceeded to put my socks and shoes back on considering I was straight from work.., I didn't go right home but when I did my designed flower was pretty much already gone!! My service I concluded was a deluxe pedicure so ended up $35 plus a $2 tip price I have NO PROBLEM with. I call the very next day stating what happened and I wouldn't be able to come right away but Friday I would stop back by ; so Friday comes they were ready to fix the problem but I also decided the color is just all wrong so it would've been an additional fee for diff color so I say no thanks I probably won't be back; on my ride to next destination I decide to call ask for a manager an refund since I was highly unsatisfied but the young lady person claims that she was and basically I was just sol knowingly before hand she knew how highly unsatisfied I was and I personally refused the "fix" so I don't understand refund not being an option if you"re a legit business?? read more

I don't usually write reviews on Yelp (though I use Yelp all the time), but this one is worth it. I just moved here I was looking for a new nail salon. They were extremely nice and helpful and they did my nails and pedicure at the same time which most places won't do. However, within one day, one of my tips broke. I went back and they were very kind and fixed it. Within the next week all ten of the tips were broken because they did them way too thin. I called and they said it was because of how they were done prior and they were in bad shape when I came in (lifting, etc), which doesn't explain why the very tips of my nails would break! That is a total lie. I had just had a new set put on and they were great, just too far to go back to get my fill. I have had acrylics for 20+ years. Clearly the issue with my nails breaking is how they did them, not how my nails were done prior. They refused to admit any fault. It is about customer service these days and theirs was terrible! I wasn't asking for anything free, I was asking them to fix the mess that they made. Though they are nice, and your nails may look good when you walk out, you are better off going to a nail salon that will take care of you in the long run! Don't be fooled...they won't! read more

Very poor service, I had an appointment for my mom and I to get our nails done and after waiting 30 minutes to get a technician. The technician I had was horrible. He had zero attention to my nails. One of my tips was even crooked and he brushed it off like it was no big deal. He also had his son in the salon so that was a distraction as well. So after what should have been about an hour nail service turned into a three hour appointment. My mom and I will never been returning there. read more

This place tried to give me acrylic fill in with a gel nail polish when all I wanted was my gel nails filled. They tried to convince me that the powder (acrylic powder) was gel powder. LOL. After I refused to have the acrylic put on (and explaining to them what gel looks like, they knew the jig was up and amazingly they had someone who could do the gel fill in. They said I should have said I wanted liquid gel nail refill and not powdered gel refill. They never asked me. i said three times I wanted gel refills. No question about it. When the acrylic came out (gel doesn't smell) I knew this was a chop shop nail place. Do yourselves a favor, go elsewhere. They used already used nail files. People, they are supposed to be new for each customer. They had the same towels at each station for multiple customers. I won't be back. The gel fill was bad! THey covered my cuticle which is terrible when growing them out. This is not acrylic, this is gel. Gel should never touch the cuticle. STAY AWAY! read more
