He asked me a question and I didn't hear it well so when he replied he said "That's not what I asked you!" He was sneering at me so I pretended I got an emergency text and said I'd have to come back. I have been going here for years, the last time I went was much less than pleasant. I wanted a pedicure and dip powder on my nails. I chose my color and the polish was almost out so he added acetone to it which changed the color and when we went over to do my nails there was no dip in the jar. so, we had to match it as close as possible. When I went today I tried to tell the owner about it who did not seem t9 care and tried to convince me it was the same color I always get and IT WAS NOT. So after getting tired of her being rude to me and telling it was the same color, I finally said I would just pick something else and change my toes. When she got finished with my nails I decided was just go elsewhere and get a pedicure and try to match my nails, I have spent a lot of money there but will never go back. Avoid. Inexperienced technicians, higher prices, extra charges for using credit card...they don't tell you that until afterwards. I am not certain everyone has a license. Nails did not last. I was really disappointed to say the least and I can see the business model is to hire low end people and owners collect the fee. Don't waste your money or time, many other choices. read more

I've been to Charming Nails several times in the past year with my 16 year old granddaughter and I'm almost always happy with the quality of service they offer. I've been getting them dipped every 5-6 weeks and they do a great job. The dip builds up thick layers that bond with the nail and doesn't chip, break or come off and makes it last until I go back to have them taken off. There have been a couple of misunderstandings and a pedicure that needed to be redone because they smudged but nothing ever serious enough for me to not return. My granddaughter hasn't ever had a problem that would make her not want to go back either. She asked for the chrome done after her nails were done and I've fallen in love with having that pearlescent buff added to mine making them have a beautiful luster. We've tried several other places and I like the way they do my nails as much as anywhere else we've tried and we hardly ever have to wait plus they're very convenient and even open on Sundays. Just like any service there are times when I have to remind them to add the chrome and I've found that there are two options-one is a clear iridescent coat over the polish and the one I prefer that looks like a mother of pearl sheen that I love. I've never been one to keep my nails done but I've been getting them dipped for a year now and they've gotten pretty long so they have to be trimmed every time I get them done. The prices are about the same no matter where I go. One place we've been to wouldn't add the chrome on top of polished nails because they said it would wear off but I've never had that problem. read more

I used to like this place, but the most recent time I was there may be my last... she did took her time on my pedicure but I did feel rushed to settle into my chair & pick my color. When it came to my manicure though... she was very rough on my cuticles it hurt! She could not keep the nail polish on my nails while painting them, it looked very sloppy when she finished. She even cut my cuticle to where I started bleeding & sent me on my way while I was still bleeding. I got gel polish which usually lasts 3-4 weeks on my nails & this time it started to chip less than a week after my appointment! TERRIBLE experience - would NOT recommend. Expensive, prices are displayed but not explained, so when it comes time to pay, you may have a big surprise. VERY poor quality plus rude staff. Have no idea of the name of woman who did my nails because she was on her phone most the time without ever sharing her name. (Suspect that she speaks English fine, but chooses not to.) During the pedicure, I noticed a large tear in the woman's glove, but she never replaced the glove. Almost NO time soaking cuticles on my fingers. Rather than clipping away hang nails and cuticle, she used the dremel tool. Every thing was hurried, rough and unfriendly to the point of being hostile. Bottom line: paid a lot of $$$ for a mani / pedi that looked TERRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST NAIL SALON EXPERIEINCE I HAVE EVER HAD. read more

this place is perfect if you want a quick, no nonsense manicure. a gel manicure took less than 30 minutes, I was immediately attended to upon arrival, and it was also dirt cheap. everything a busy, broke college student could ask for. the manicure lasted about a week before starting to chip, but take that with a grain of salt, because I'm personally EXTREMELY rough on my nail. but seriously, this place is great, just don't expect to be pampered with an arm massage or anything. read more

I came in to have my acrylic nails redone. As soon as I sat down the assistants began cutting into my nails and pulling off the acrylic I had on, ripping off several layers of my actual nail with it. When I asked if we could soak the off, she glared and said, "I Know." Then proceeded to pull my nails off. After seeing how badly she damaged my first two nails I had to standup and leave. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon. I would recommend no one ever go here. My first time to try this nail salon and I will not be returning. My gel pedicure, which is pricey, is very messy. I thought once I took a shower it would look better. But, 2 days later it's still messy edges, etc. Plus, when I got up today I have an inflamed cuticle. When I went to ask for a re-do on my gel pedi and ask about my inflamed cuticle, the manager replied, "I don't see anything wrong with your cuticle and the gel pedi looks fine (my toe is swollen, red and painful)". I asked for a refund and she refused to give a refund or take my gel polish off (which is what I really wanted). Very poor customer service to say the least. read more

Very clean love the plastic covering in pedicure baths. However not to experienced with powder coat nails.

I came in to have a manicure and the gel polish removed from my toes and normal polish painted on them. First of all they aren't friendly at all, and none of them seem to like their job. My manicure was ok, but the polish on my toes dried uneven instead of smooth. When I said something she painted another topcoat on and had me sit back under the dryer. Well they still look terrible. When I asked the girl about it she said they are smooth. I said clearly they aren't. Her rude, unapologetic , "could care a less" response was, "if you don't like she fix for you". I lived here in Greenville for four years not far from charming nails, I've never went into charming nails until yesterday. I like that they lined the tubs with a disposable plastic liner so they are keeping good hygiene for their customers, The woman that did my nails "I did not get her name" was very thorough and she did a very good job. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is the salon is not the greatest looking of salons but the service was good. read more
