Do not hesitate to book your next service here! From the moment I stepped in the door, I was greeted in a welcoming way. Despite being stressed out from a time mix up, they were very accommodating and were able to allow me to get my whole 90 min massage. I was offered water to relax while I filled out my paper work. Although I was late to my appointment, I never felt rushed through the process of getting into the locker room to change and meet my massage therapist in the room. Kelly was AMAZING! She was so kind, understanding, and a great listener! She really went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and receiving the best services possible. The 90 min signature massage itself was also amazing and included a heating pad, hot stones, and a heated eye mask. After my massage, I was able to relax in the lounge with a glass of champagne. Kelly was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, including turning on the sauna for me. The infrared sauna was a perfect touch post massage and it was very clean. To end my experience, I used the showers that were clean, roomy, and equipped with yummy smelling shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The towels were fully stocked! I will not visit them again. I tried but they seemed a bit snooty and then they reached out to me on social media and invited me to the spa, so I explained my feelings and even told them I may try to swing by (thinking I'll give them a second chance) and then she starts criticizing me for the comment I made about them and tried to turn it around. I don't like being patronized. I don't need them. They need customers I have plenty of spas to choose from. I was originally excited that I found the spa. I walked in and I asked questions. They had no brochure. The lady was snooty to me. They would not let me look around. And from the lady speaking to me, they didn't even have any spa amenities except for one steam room. The snooty woman did not even know the difference between a steam room and a sauna. I don't spend hundreds of dollars unless I know I will enjoy the facility. If you have no time to show a potential guest because your sitting at the front desk then ... we'll, I guess you do not need my business. I did not bash you. I spoke my feelings on my page about what I found out because that's what I do every day of my life. So I do not appreciate you private messaging me your feelings and then blocking me and then posting your negativity on my reply. If you you are going to send something out, allow a reply... common courtesy. Be thankful you're a business and if you don't know something is broken you cannot fix it. I was pretty disappointed with my recent massage experience here. This is firstly because the spa is in a temporary location with basically no amenities, and I didn't know this. Had I known, I would not have booked it. The space is basically an office space that is slightly modified to serve some basic spa needs. There are no showers, no robes, not even an internal restroom (the restroom is out in the building, shared with other businesses), and has none of the "wow factor" that the downtown location had. I even had a hard time finding their unmarked door, and had to ask a construction worker where they were. They should have communicated being in a temporary location and lack of amenities both on their website, and at the time of booking. The massage itself was also disappointing, a real come-down from what was previously, to me, the best experience I had found in Greenville. My massage therapist seemed untrained. The scalp massage started things off badly, and was basically like just playing with my hair. From this point, I regretted booking the longer-length 90-minute massage, realizing too late I had taken a risk that was not working out at all. Finally, the price is the same that they charge in the "wow" location, with the "wow massage therapist," with all the amenities. I would definitely not book another appointment here at this location, and their failure to disclose in advance the reduced value I was getting has damaged my trust, so I would hesitate to book at their new location, either, even with a different massage therapist. (New location supposed to be open in March or April, they said.) What a waste of my semi-rare massage experience and money. read more

My three sisters and I spent the morning at River Falls Spa a few weeks ago. We each had a facial, and though , at 68 years old, I have had several facials over the past several years, this one was the best one so far! Sharon took such excellent care of me. She was so sweet and she made me feel so relaxed. I could still tell a difference in my skin several days later. I was given samples of some of the products used ( Eminence), and I went on to order more . I really like this line ! We will definitely be going back to River Falls and I will ask for Sharon! Highly recommend to go to this spa for a special occasion pampering day! I was gifted a special Mother's Day treat which included a sugar body scrub then bathed in a Vicci bath (spelling?) followed by a 60-minute massage. Ambiance: I've been to a good number of spas and I don't feel more than 80% relaxed. This place made me feel 98% relaxed. It is located in a secluded underground space. There is no noise coming from upstairs or the streets, completely sound proof. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I'll leave the walking in experience for you to see yourself! The locker rooms had everything you need including a steam room. There's also an area with tea and snacks. The robes, slippers and rooms use good quality materials. You know you're getting the good stuff. Service: The body scrub and Vicci bath was SO relaxing. I highly recommend! I was comfortably covered the entire time. They were 100% professional. They went out of their way to a accommodate me, as in they weren't stingy about towels throughout the process and made sure I wasn't cold. Then I was escorted to another room for the massage. I struggled whether or not to write this review as my boyfriend and I had completely different experiences on the same day with the same treatment but have decided to write the review from my perspective. I requested two appointments for the signature massage. Upon arrival we had a really hard time finding parking as its in the center of downtown Greenville. their website doesn't say anything about parking and after asking they said they didn't have any parking and we should look for a two hour space or park in a garage. After this I was offered wine or champagne while I filled out my paperwork which was great! The downside was that the small waiting area had no where to put my drink so I had to place it on the ground. After a very short wait we were shown to the back at which point my boyfriend and I went separate ways as he was in the men's area and I was at the women's. You're given a locker with key, a robe, and sandals. All of which were spacious and nice. I was pretty confused of where to wait after as most of the areas look like hallways. After asking she pointed me to one of the hallways with a lounge chair and some magazines. These waiting areas are quite bare and have no decor, water features (one but it was not working), candles, or diffusers. After a few minutes my masseuse showed me to my room. She could not remember which massage I signed up for and left. When she came back she asked what pressure I preferred and I said medium. She left as I changed and got on the table. The face rest was broken and the entire time I lay on my stomach I had a metal bar pressing into my face. My masseuse did ask me about this at the beginning but I assumed I was just laying incorrectly and never spoke up after this. My signature massage was very deep tissue and honestly painful, especially the neck and scalp part. I, for some reason, can't seem to speak up during massages for fear of hurting their feelings but I did yelp a couple times. The pressure was just too much. She worked on my entire body and used hot stones as well. I was confused after when talking to my boyfriend as his masseuse didn't use any hot stones but we paid for the same thing. After the massage, my masseuse told me to get dressed and come on out. When I came out she wasn't there so I didn't know what to do. I made my way to the snack room (another hallway with water, tea, and granola) to grab tea. My masseuse found me later in the changing room to give me water but did not talk about the massage or problem areas. I was excited to sit int he sauna but sadly it was not warm, smelled musky, and had black gunk inside. I wasn't even sure if it was the sauna but as it was a steamy-ish room with no spouts, it must have been. The showers were extremely nice with all kinds of showerheads. They provide eye make up remover, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They also had hand towels and regular towels for your use. So overall, I would not go back. But my boyfriend really enjoyed his massage and the experience. read more

Amazing! Got a massage here with a few family and friends the Thursday before my wedding. I booked our treatments well in advance because I knew there would be a few of us. They were overly accommodating, and even brought in an extra person to accommodate us all at once. From the moment we arrived, I felt so pampered. The location is absolutely beautiful and radiates relaxation. We were given champagne and escorted to the locker room/waiting area. Staying at the Westin Poinsett Hotel next door. 5 day stay. I stroll over to see if they can schedule my wife for a polish change and a quick neck/back massage. I walk in and zero customers but 3 women behind the counter eating and drinking coffee. I begin to verbalize my request and before I've finished my sentence and question I'm abruptly told, "we're fully booked." No options, no search for extra info, no offer of performing the service on a different day of our stay in Greenville. Completely what I'd expect from rookies watching the clock to go home on Christmas Eve. Don't waste your time here. Clearly, they have more business than they can handle and Southern Hospitality died at the front door of their basement location. I wish them well. I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

Had maybe the best massage ever with Brittany! My friends said the same things about their experiences! We were on a girls trip and booked here as it was close to our hotel. We then needed to add a person at the last minute and Susan (a manager) worked some magic to make that happen! Loved it! I visited River Falls Spa for the first time last week and it did not disappoint! I was immediately greeted and checked in and offered a glass of wine to help kick off the relaxation. My massage therapist was very welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. I was having headaches due to allergies and within 10 minutes of her working on the area I could immediately feel my sinuses opening up. Let me start with the good. Sharon who did my treatment, the Signature Facial was very nice, not overly chatty (which I hate,) very explanatory and smelled nice:). She did warn me about what would happen over the next hour...fifty of the 60 minutes was very nice... The bad. Part of this treatment is a cayenne pepper/cinnamon hot as fire cream or serum or something. It was pure misery for probably 3 minutes-barely tolerable for 5 more. I thought my skin was burning off for sure. Then this other tightening stuff goes over that. I felt like a boa constrictor was around my neck while I could still sort of feel the agony of the burn underneath. 10 minutes of hell. It was all I could do to not peel it off with my hands. I've had plenty of facials- none like this and I'll NEVER get this one again. Also, the waiting area and locker room is far from special. When paying top dollar ($150) for an hour long treatment, I expect the waiting area to be relaxing and pleasing to the senses- it's not. read more

I was very excited about my appointment for the Artic Facial and Signature massage. Upon my arrival I was asked to complete an intake form regarding any health issues that would be beneficial for the massage therapist while she performed my massage. I noted on the form that I had a recent knee injury that was still sensitive in that area. After completing my intake form I was led to the spa area and given a very nice robe and shoes 10 sizes too big for me. I was then directed to the waiting area and shortly after greeted by a lady that was going to give me my facial. She immediately noticed my shoes flopping on my feet and went back to find me a smaller pair. The facial was wonderful and every step of the treatment was explained to me as it was given. The facial and was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep! But the fun and experience stopped right there.....on to my massage nightmare..... I was greeted by the therapist that seemed cheerful and nice. She advised me that she had not had a chance to look at my intake form and wanted me to address any special needs or concerns with her. I told her that I had a recent knee injury and pointed out the fresh scar to her and explained that the area under my scar was still sensitive and asked her to not massage that small area. I also explained to her that I had stiffness in my neck and left shoulder and I would like special attention to that area. It all goes downhill from there..... The massage therapist begins by trying to loosen the stiffness in my neck by grabbing on my hair (yes, you read that right, she grabbed my hair with oil or lotion or whatever on her hands) to maneuver my neck into relaxation. Needless to say, I had to ask her to stop. I'm thinking maybe I'm extremely tender headed to I'll give her that one. I've never had a massage therapist grab my hair before but ok. Whatever. She starts working on my left shoulder and it feels really good and I tell her. Then, she moves to my right shoulder and is really spending lots of time there and I'm wondering why. She explains that since that was the shoulder I had stiffness in she was giving it more attention. Ok. I get it. She's standing over me so she's getting the left/right shoulder thingy confused. But this is not the reason for the bad review. Not my a longshot. The knee fiasco..... As she began working on my legs I once again pointed to the scar on my knee and asked her to stay away from it. But, she didn't and 30 seconds later she is rubbing the hot rock right on top of that scar! I almost jumped off the table! She apologizes and explains she had her eyes closed. ????? It gets worse..... After my massage the therapist directs me back to the changing room. The entire time I'm asking myself "should I mention the disaster of a massage to the front desk? Should I even give this massage therapist a tip" ??? I finally decide to be nice and not say anything and leave a tip and just pay and get out of there and this will be the end of this unsatisfying experience. I was wrong.... As I'm walking out of the spa area, to pay at the front desk, I hear a baby crying. As I'm standing at the front desk to pay I see a woman running out of the spa area holding the crying baby which at this point is now SCREAMING! Don't get me wrong, I love babies. I've had them. But when you have customers paying hundreds of dollars for a relaxing treat I don't think you should be allowing babies in the building. But, that's just my humble opinion. I read the reviews for this spa both good and bad before I took a gamble on getting a HIT in a hit or miss situation. But, I was staying at the Westin next store and decided to go for it. Absolutely Incredible! I had an accident in December 2015, my doctor suggested I get a massage to help with the contusions. On the day of my appointment it was raining extremely hard. When I arrived, I was drenched. Kelli met me at the back entrance, I undressed and she proceeded with the massage. As they say, "the best way to enjoy a rainy day, get a deep tissue massage with hot stones". After the massage, I returned to "dry clothes" they put my drenched clothing in the dryer during my massage. This was truly a WOW! Above & Beyond my Expectations. I would give this spa three stars, because the therapist did a nice job on my massage and it was a decent facility. However, I was not pleased by the lack of parking, and customer service presentation by the front staff person. This was a gift from my daughter who spend $375 for this service. We were not greeted with champagne, because apparently they ran out, this was suppose to be included in the gift. Also, it was suppose to be a 20 minute spa, with champagne and strawberries. The 10 minute spa tub, 10 chocolate covered strawberries, and two glasses of orange juice really missed the mark. This was severely overpriced, and the only reason I would return would be because the massage was really good. Laurie Ann did an amazing job. I had a 90 minute massage with Kelly last Friday. It was exactly what I needed after a long travel week. It wasn't the fanciest spa I have ever been to and that wouldn't be expected given I have been to many around the world. However it was great! Kelly did get rid of my aches and pains and put forth a lot of effort to do so. I am not a small girl and was thrilled for once to have a robe that actually fit perfectly!! I have never had that....no idea what a treat that was to feel comfortable in it. It is definitely pricey but in line with other similar type spas. I am sure you can get a regular massage for much cheaper but you are paying for the environment which isn't overly fancy at all but I didn't mine paying the premium because Kelly did such a nice job. read more

Horrible experience! I went to this spa for a facial. I thought it would be a relaxing experience, NOT! I checked in at the front desk ( or I was led to believe I did). Then I was taken to the locker room area. I noticed most of the lockers had names on them. The young lady told me that she would come back and put my name on a locker. That never happened. I put on a robe ( in the bathroom) and slippers that were about 3 sizes too large. At this point I sat in a waiting area for 15+ minutes. During this time there were several women that come in together. They were extremely loud so it was difficult to relax. After a while someone came to get me and said that she had been waiting on me and that I never checked in at the front! I actually came in early since this was my first time. The facial itself seemed nice at the time. Even though the scrub was rough as well as the cloths. I explained that I had very sensitive skin. This was also on my paperwork that I am sure was not read. After the facial I noticed the skin around my left eye was burning. By the time I got home it was very red. Now it is red, swollen and flaky. This is very upsetting as well as painful. I have an event to go to and I don't think I can cover it up with make up. If I am asked what happen I will be sure to let others know this is compliments of River Falls Spa. The place is overpriced but I am will willing to pay for quality service. This is absolutely the best pedi experience I have had. I'm not one to get pedi's for the experience, just the result. My feet are SO sensitive!!! Since I found this place, and specifically Virginia, I get it! Plus they have a great customer service attitude. For whatever reason, the polish rubbed off on a couple of toes on my last pedi - I called, they got me right in. Not only did they do a polish change gratis, when I tried to tip the manager had taken care of it for me! Its going to cost more than going to a strip mall nail place, but you get what you pay for!
