When I mentioned to them that the book said that a pedicure came with a massage and lotion they told me they had already given it to me. I got powder dip nails from this place two and a half weeks ago. My nails grow kind of fast but they still look nice enough, can go another week. They took the polish right up to my cuticle meaning longer wear. However, they only dipped twice (other salons do so 4 to 4+ times) so the polish cover is thinner. So far that's been ok, but not usually a great indicator of dip quality. It was also $40, $45 with tip. For them to only dip twice that's a bit steep for what you get. read more

I had a terrible experience at Ultra Nails which left me feeling embarrassed, violated and bullied. My first visit I got a manicure for $18.00 ; it was great. The second visit I asked for a manicure the same woman nail tech kept talking about gel. I did not know that gel could be used without acrylic. Therefore, I was confessed and did not understand what she was trying to tell me. I finally said OK just to get things going. The gel manicure looked great, and I paid $20.00 for the service. My third visit I asked for a gel manicure the same nail tech told me it would cost $33.00. I reminded her the last time I paid $20.00. She started talking very loudly and saying that was not the price I paid and that every time I come into the salon I want special prices. I tried to explain that I was just trying to understand the prices. She continued talking very loudly and began talking in her native language to the other woman tech. I heard the male tech tell his customer that a gel manicure would cost her $25.00. I did not understand why I was being charge $33.00 and why the price was different every time I came in. My nail tech rudely finish my nails and abruptly dismissed me. I thought maybe she was having a bad day. My fourth visit the two women techs began talking about me before I got completely in the store. The woman tech sat down with me and said, "I remember you, every time you come in here you want special prices." I tired to explain to her that was not the way I do business; I was only trying to understand the pricing. She told me I could leave if I didn't like the prices. She would not listen to me or try to understand why I was questioning the pricing. I left the salon feeling that I had been stereotyped, bullied and falsely accused of something I did not do. If the two nail techs do not want to answer questions about their pricing, they should not be in business. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT--they are not honored. I have been a customer at Ultra Nail for about 5 years. Until my last few visits I had no complaints. I usually go when the salon opens but the past 2 visits had to be early afternoon. Both times I scheduled appointments with Tina. The first time I went for my afternoon appointment Tina was working with a walk in and did the right thing by passing her off to another technician when I arrived. On this 2nd afternoon visit (1pm appointment) when I arrived Tina came and told me she was busy and asked if I could I come back. I said no-I made the appointment for 1 pm. After 5 years as their customer, they know that I drop my dog at the groomer prior to my nail appointment and that I was on a schedule. I asked her to have someone else at least start the pedicure. When that did not happen after 5-10 minutes-it was clear I would not be seen even though an appointment had been made. When I asked about this, Tina said she called but I did not answer. I checked my phone and saw a call about 10 minutes prior to my appointment. It likely came in while dropping the dog at the groomer on the way to my appointment. No voicemail was left. I even talked to the owner, John who said 'she tried to call you.' He was disrespectful and uncaring to a long time client. Information posted on the Yelp site says by appointment only. My last 2 visits demonstrate that the business does not care about or honor appointments. Specifically, Tina's behavior shows she is money hungry and inconsiderate. Why would you accept a walk in client 10 minutes before a scheduled appointment and then call the person with the appointment and expect them to change? read more

This place is conveniently located near where I live, so after having a blah day @ work, I went in for a lil pick me up. Well, it was a put me down from here on out. When I walked in, there were no customers at the shop (ha, should've figured), but all the employees were sitting on the massage chairs. First of all, one of the worker was giving the other worker a pedicure. NICE. They were all sitting very comfortably on the chairs watching whatever was on their laptops. When I walked in, they muttered something in their language (Vietnamese I think). I felt little awkward. I told them I brought my own nail polish. She erased the nail polish that was on my nail, soaked, etc She wasn't able to get all the nail polish off. (don't ask me why/how bc I am wondering that myself). She didn't clean my cuticles at all (my nails are kept clean at all times anyways, but still... I was expecting little pampering). Their lotion smelled and felt really cheap. If that's the case, just put some Aveeno. She globbed on the final coat that ended up dripping. Then she walked me to the sitting area and left me there until I decided to go. She walked back to her comfy massage chair and continued to chit chat with other ladies. ODD. Overall, I've gone to plenty of nail places and got much better service and better quality of job done. Had the best experience with my husband tonight. We called ahead to ensure it was okay to come in as it was very close to closing time. They graciously told us to come on in. We were greeted professionally and tended to right away. They had both our pedicure statins ready and I was treated to getting a full set while they were working on my toes. It was a wonderful experience. It was clean and had awesome massage chairs. For someone who gets my nails done regularly I must say I will be back to this location. It's conveniently located near my home and the prices are very reasonable. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

The original manicure my girlfriend received from Ultra Nails was hardly a 1 star out of 5, but the fact that they redid it for free brings this review up to 2 stars. The whole experience here was just negative. The "customer is always right" is the opposite of how this place runs things. The somewhat rude people working here are always telling you what you want instead of listening to what you would like them to do. My sister also came with us at the same visit and even though her finished product was ok, they refused to really do what she was asking them to do. But my girlfriend's manicure was just unacceptable. Extremely sloppy, did not look how she asked, and then three days later one of the gel nails fell off with many others already looking like they were about to peel off. After calling and asking for a refund, as well as showing up in person, they refused. They did offer to redo it thankfully, which we reluctantly let them do because frankly, she didn't want to have them do her nails again. Don't come here! read more

I've never had a problem here before, but I went this morning and a guy did my nails. They look terrible. He did the dip powder, and I've gotten my nails done enough that I know the steps. He skipped using the drill on them the last time. When I said something he proceeded to go back and forth with me that they were right. I didn't have time to stay and get them fixed. New to the area, looking for a fair priced pedicure. This is the 2nd place I've tried and was totally disappointed. Upsell on everything, no foot or leg massage, I was in and out in 35 minutes. Definitely disappointed in my pedicure today. I am 7 mos prego and the whole reason I came to get a pedicure was for the leg/foot massage and the pampering!! It was one of the men who did mine and he didn't even give me a massage. Like at all. Nor did he scrape any of the rough/calloused skin off the bottom of my feet. The French polish was...ok. Worst experience ever....I sat down right away in the pedicure chair thinking I was going to get my pedicure shortly. Waiting... not even soaking my feet in the pedicure chair for 40-45 min till someone finally started my pedicure. Wanted a few minutes if massage time and told the guy I would pay extra. Looked at me like I had 2 heads, so I said not to worry about it. He ended up only massaging my feet for not even 10 seconds! I am pregnant and my feet hurt that's the ONLY reason I went to get a pedicure in the first place! Very short pedicure, paint and everything looked good. Now waiting to get my nails done. As 3 ladies walked in after me they decided to do her manicure first.SOOO I waited again....finally when It came down to getting my nails done and showed them a simple ombré picture of what I wanted. 5 1/2 hours later with the worst pedicure and my nails looking like a cats scratching board I will not be returning. read more

I have been going here for only about a month now but have visited 3 times. For the record, I am a good tipper . The visit before my last I got a gel manicure which was $30. The next day my pink gel nails began to turn a creamy yellow color. Thinking they may have accidentally put a mood gel on I ran them under warm and cold water. They stayed the tye die pink / cream color , which is not cute! As soon as I was available to go back, about 3 days later, I got a pedicure and asked that they fix my manicure! The young lady spoke with the manager and upon returning advised me that they would not fix my nails for free but charge me a discounted price. The nail tech clearly stated that there was a problem with the product but her manager would not let her do them without charging $15!!! I was appalled!!!!!!!! This place is s rip off! I had a pedicure done here this past Saturday for the first time at this place. A worker named Lily did my pedicure. She asked 100 questions, some of which were extremely personal and made every attempt to be overly friendly. She made me very uncomfortable as she chatted non stop and tried her best to sell me an additional collagen treatment after I had I told her no thank you and I'd rather wait, at least four times. She did a slack, very bad job on the actual pedicure and when cutting my cuticles even skipped over all but three toes. After I refused the additional treatment, she stopped speaking to me except for telling me to sit at the drying station where she came only to tell me $30 and then once I signed the credit card receipt, she never spoke to me again. I find out from my daughter that $30 is too high and when I call this place and ask the prices, I find out that $30 is for her doing additional things she definitely didn't do. What she did do, which is s basic pedicure, is charged $20 or at the most, $25. I will never go to this place again and recommend you be very careful and informed if you go there before accepting any treatment at all. read more

I cannot even begin to tell anyone how AWFUL my experience was here. I went in to get my acrylics removed (this was the first time I've gotten them), waited 30 mins and Lisa started prying the acrylic off of my nails using another fake nail, no soaking and it was painful. This very unprofessional business does not even qualify for a one star. I requested a french manicure with gel tips and what I received was a very unnatural and unflattering set of nails that started chipping within days. I called back to consult with them and they said they would replace the set. I went in to do so and she proceeded to rip the tips off of my nails and it was very painful and irritating to my nails. The new set looked even worse and I was concerned I would get an infection. Would never recommend this uncleanly, uncaring facility. read more

I have been looking and visiting a few different nail salons around the Greenville area to find one I feel comfortable in and does a good pedicure for a fair price. Since I'm in my 50s, my toenails have not been growing flat and straight. So, to prevent another visit to a podiatrist, I am having my toenails "done." I also like the look of a French pedi. Ultra Nails fits my bill. I have gone twice. The first time, David was available; I was a little leery to have a "man" do my pedicure. David did such a good job though, that I asked for him the second time. I found that the paint job lasted longer than the trim job! Satisfied! read more
