I have been itching to get a massage so I decided to give this place a try. This was my first time…read moreat Hotel Hartness and I thought they did a great job manicuring the hotel grounds. The spa is clean and modern and the relaxation room looks out to the small lake and feels very serene. I booked my massage last minute and my masseuse was Hannah, and she did a great job. Signature massage for 50 minutes is $150 on weekdays (slightly more on weekends) and I added on scalp massage for $25. The scalp massage ended up being barely 3-4 minutes long, which was disappointing. Also there is a mandatory 20% gratuity on the total bill when you check out, and you cannot opt out of it. Not that I don't want to tip, but I don't think it's right to make it mandatory. I usually like medium to firm pressure and apparently signature massage is only light to medium pressure and you need to book a higher tier massage that's more expensive if you're looking for more pressure. Although I had a nice experience and my masseuse was great, personally I don't think it was worth $200+ price tag for 50 minutes. Usually places at this price range would have nicer amenities too, such as sauna, hot tubs, etc., which this place does not have.
