I enjoyed going to the Spa. Hubby got me a gift card. They 'expire' in five years (which is stated on the back). I lost over $100 because the card "expired". I had asked Jerry at my last service to write the balance on the card - which he did - but did not say the card was expiring in a few months. THAT fact was never mentioned any of the times I used the card. Had I been made aware, I would have booked right then and there. I moved an hour away, made an appointment and asked about the gift card, providing number and PIN. It was then that I was told sorry, card is dead. I reached out via email, to no avail. I booked a couples massages for my boyfriends birthday and the entire experience was fantastic! I was able to book the day before which was extremely convenient. We were greeted and sent to the relaxation room when we arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by our little name plates, comfy robe and slippers that were just our size. I had a very relaxing experience at this spa. The massage was great! The staff was professional. The place was very clean. I did not feel rushed at all. I was served water, wine, and mints. The nail tech was from Europe. She was really sweet and interesting. She did a fabulous job. I would recommend this spa. The only negative is that I drove around it a few times before I found it. I called weeks a ago to book the couples spa day as a Christmas gift for my husband with the massages, facial and pedicure, the lady I spoke with was super sweet and I was excited. The spa texted and confirmed multiple times. Well the morning of our appointment while I was getting ready, I received a call and a text message stating that they are going to have to cancel, I was very upset and close to tears because I had my whole day centered around this appointment, I explained that to the person I spoke with and all she asked if I would like to reschedule, I understand there are things that happen beyond our control....but this was a complete let down!!! read more

I've been here twice, for massages both times. I was disappointed with the first visit, but I returned because I have a gift certificate to use up. The second time, I was coming from a fitness class so I needed a shower, but this is just not available. One of the treatment rooms has a shower in it, so if it's available you can ask for that one, but this is not a nice experience, it's a tiny shower wedged into the corner of a room. The lack of full bathroom facilities here, to shower either before or after, is a real minus for me. Another minus is that the waiting area is right behind the room where people enter, with the door between them open. The changing rooms are off of that, so after you change, you wait for your massage, hanging out in just a robe while you listen to the receptionist take calls, and while the world coming and going carries on at full volume just a few feet away from you. This is harsh to me, not luxurious, and keeps this from being a spa experience. In fact, I wouldn't call this is a "spa" at all, even a day spa, since there really are no spa amenities and no basic supporting amenities other than a washroom off the waiting room. The view from the waiting area out to the back garden is pleasant and peaceful, but I found it very hard to enjoy this with the receptionist talking at full voice in the next room, meaning just a few feet away. Also, employees were out there having conversations with each other, again, in full voice. Not spa-like. The price point here is definitely the high end for the area, so for the money, this experience should be luxurious, but I didn't find this to be the case. One pro is that they offer 10% discounts on last-minute bookings regularly, if you are on their e-mail list. This facility has potential and could be improved. The current 5-star rating is very surprising to me. read more

Received a "welcome to the neighborhood" coupon for a free haircut or massage. I chose a haircut and the stylist was on time, engaged in conversation with me and her and the owner talked to me while they cut hair. My cut turned out excellent. I enjoyed the conversation but there was no push to keep me as a client. I guess they get enough business to where they don't need to rely on regulars to keep money in their pockets. It was located in a quiet area, but easy to access. Their brochure lists a wide range of services from haircuts, massages and everything in between. Great day spa!! Had a wrap/bath with Julie K. She rocked! I would see her again and again! She was so REAL!! : )) I had a 90 minute with Tawan, it was the integrated massage, that's the one to pick, you get everything!! She was very professional and did a great job. The facility is nice. I do wish the waiting area was not right off the lobby, it's kind of odd to sit there with a robe on and be so close to the entrance. I agree with other reviewers that it's uncomfortable to be so exposed so near the lobby. That's the only thing I can say negative. The rooms are great, locker area more than sufficient. I think the patio would be good on a nice day. Pedi chairs very comfy but the actual pedi was meh.. very clean, staff very helpful and polite. Very very posh... VERY! This is a hidden gem in Greenville, resort style. More private waiting area and mani/pedi in the spa setting instead of salon and no price would be too high!! read more

I've had a few couple's massages at MG Grand and they have all been AMAZING! My husband and I keep driving back to Greenville from Columbia just to come here. I always schedule my massage with Bradley and he does a great job. I would recommend a 60 minute massage with full body - by the time the hour is up you feel like a new person! And don't worry they usually ask if you have anywhere that needs some extra attention. The prices are comparable to other places but the service out weights others by far. I have only had massages here, but they have all been amazing! Everything about the experience makes me want to come back. I've been to other spas, and this is the best one by far. The front desk ladies are so welcoming and I love getting my own robe with the little Ghiradelli chocolate. The rooms are nice and quiet and the music and warm table make it relaxing even before the massage starts. I had Maya this time for my massage and she was wonderful! This spa also does a Christmas photo contest on Facebook and gives out gift certificates. I have to drive 40 minutes to come to this spa but it is completely worth it. I really enjoy going to MG's Grand Day Spa. The building is split into two sides with the waiting room in between. One side is the hair and nail salon and the other is the massage/treatment side. The latter is very quiet and relaxing with minimal outside noise and interruption, if any. I see Manisay about twice a month and it's definitely something I look forward to. She is professional and takes ultimate pride in her work. She's a magician! The staff is friendly and attentive from check in to check out. Highly recommend a visit here! read more

The only awkward part was prior to the massage after I had changed and locked up my things in the locker area, I was waiting in the waiting area with other people who were fully clothed, maybe waiting on a friend or family memeber while I was in my robe. Other than that, the massage was very good and the service felt very personal; the printed placard with my name waiting in the private locker was a nice touch, as was the chocolate afterwards. It is so nice to have an upscale spa to go to where you can truly relax. The atmosphere is clean, calm and chill. You will be offered a place to sit down in a little waiting room with plush louis armchairs and settees, and then you will be offered water or wine. My eyebrows came out beautifully - I will be back. I missed an appointment once and they were very graceful about it. I can't think of anything negative about this place! I really find it refreshing to have found a non-chain place to go for waxing-it makes Greer feels that much more homey in some ways than Simponville or Greenville. I love that it is close to me in Greer in a location near but not on a busy highway - I take the back roads and avoid all the traffic, but a newcomer to the area could find it easily by coming from Pelham Road. Horrible experience! They make you wait for half an hour when you have an appoint. My wife was very disappointed. The pedicure was horrible and ended up smudged, they did not offer any refreshments other than cucumber water and the massage therapist talked about herself during the entire massage. I think the atmosphere is really nice. I was really pumped going in but I am in so much pain from my prenatal massage, I'm not sure if I want to go back. The girl was very inconsistent and spent 30 minutes digging into my neck/upper shoulders, then she pretty much just spread lotion on the rest of my body. Then she had me lay on my side on a v shaped table and just put lotion on my back then dug into my sides right behind the baby bump. My baby didn't move for the rest of the night and I was really concerned he was having issues. I am in so much pain now. It was literally either super extreme or she was just slapping lotion on my body. I would try other things they offer because again, it seemed like a very nice place, but DON'T go here for prenatal massage. It's overpriced and they didn't seem to have the tools to do the job let alone the staff. read more

My sister got married in Greenville over the weekend, and we needed a spa that would be able to have 11 of us. I found the MG Grand Day Spa on google! It was so nice that we were able to get manicures, pedicures and our hair done all in the same location. I worked with Stephanie at the front desk, and she was more than accommodating. She set up a schedule in an excel spread sheet that allowed me to view everyones services and times. She even typed up what each person owed, and what their times were when I could not open the excel document. Every time I called to change something, or ask a question, they were all so eager to help. Stephanie- Thank you for organizing everything for us and making the day perfect. and Stevie at the front desk- thank you for helping us on the day of all the services. She was so organized and even gave each one of my guests a business card, so they knew what time each of their services were and who it was with. Ashley, April and Jessica did a wonderful job with the manicures and pedicures. They even helped calm myself and the bride down when we were stressing out. On our way out, we each got a little baggie if sweets! If I ever return to Greenville, and need a service, I wouldn't hesitate to return to the MG Grand Day Spa. read more
