Ladies and Gentleman there is NEW ownership! thank GOD!!!!! A couple years ago my mother and I had the worst experience ever, however the new owner John and his partner (didn't catch his name) contacted me in hopes of rectifying the situation. I went to the salon on a Saturday and was instantly greeted wonderfully by the owner and asked if I needed anything to drink and showed me to the seating area. He talked with me for a little bit until my stylist Ashley was ready for me. She took me right on time as scheduled. She listened attentively as I described the style I wanted for my hair. She gave me her suggestions on the exact coloring that would look best (to tweak it...cuz not everything looks good on everyone). She was extremely professional in her technique and ability. She was also so personable and easy to talk and cut up with. John ( one of the owners) was constantly walking around checking on his clients to make sure they were comfortable and happy which impressed me alot. I was extremely happy with my end results from Ashley and the salon as a whole. And apparently they are moving from upstairs to downstairs and redoing the whole salon. I went to the same hairstylist from age 6 until roughly 21, so... I'm a little bit picky about who I let touch my hair. When my husband and I moved from IL to SC, I had a hard time finding anyone I liked. I felt like stylists weren't listening to me, didn't check in with me, and generally didn't care what kind of haircut I was actually -interested- in. I was given a coupon with the name 'Jessica' on the back, with Studio 7's info on the front. I decided to give them a call and set an appointment. Jessica was friendly, talkative, and we spent a little time before she even started the haircut just discussing what I wanted. When what I told her was a little vague ("I'm easy, just make it shortish with layers"), she gave me a book of haircuts nad had me find the one that was closest to the idea in my head. My hair came out lovely, and Jessica took the time to walk me through what she did with a flatiron to style it, an easy enough styling even for someone like me who is very wash and wear. I have been back once since, for a trim, and plan to go back soon. I am definitely sticking with Jessica from here on out. I definitely had a good experience with Studio 7 and recommend them! They are a little on the pricier side, but I felt it was worth the cost. read more

Carneese is such an amazing talented artist! I have traveled hours from Atlanta just to have her give me a blow out and style. Carneese has a way with curling and styling my hair like no other I have dealt with . Whatever technique it is that she does , I definitely can not replicate on myself, nor has any stylist I have ever encountered been able to give me the volume and bounce to my long hair. She just rocks! Besides that she's a warm, genuine person and I love going in to see her every time. I look forward to my appointments, because of her fun and positive outlook on life. If you have not had the privilege of her styling your hair take the time to book her one day. You will not be disappointed. The whole staff at Studio 7 is amazing and friendly and they remember my face as soon as I walk in the door. This means a lot when you are at a high end salon. I've been going to Studio 7 since they opened. I get my hair styled and cut by Joshua. I completely trust his opinion on what will look good; he points out things I didn't think about (like how much care a style will take), and explains how my hair will fall in certain cuts (I have "trouble" spots). I've changed my hairstyle a million times with him and before, I never had the confidence to do that - I had the same hair from age 9 - 27! Joshua is a total perfectionist and I feel like he understands what I'm looking for - something low maintenance but with effortless style. Believe me, that's not easy when all I can commit to is maybe a blowdryer and the occasional flat iron. The salon has convenient hours, they're open Saturdays and their staff and stylists are the friendliest in Greenville! It's nice that I do not have to pay someone $70 for a 15 minute haircut and then have someone else style me. I am the #1 fan of Studio 7 and Joshua. read more

I have been to a few different places to get my hair done, and I love this place!! I see Joshua for my cut and Kristen for my highlights. They do such and amazing job of making me feel comfortable and having good conversation while getting my hair done! I had a problem with getting the same hairstyle every time I would go get it done, but Josh really listens to me and takes his time cutting my hair and making it look a little different every time I go and I love it! Kristen is also amazing she is always up to try anything different, I asked for a color a little warmer not to dark highlights and she got out this book matched my color sat down and talked about what it's going to look like in the end and explained everything really well to me. And of course the outcome was amazing, I can't recommend them enough such a nice calm atmosphere and great caring people!! read more

I have been having my hair highlighted and styled by Anna Bowman at Studio 7 for several years. She is awesome! I am always extremely pleased with the end result and have received many compliments. The rest of the staff is very helpful and friendly, and John always asks if he can get me anything to drink. I have had to wait a few times, but it has never been very long. On one occasion a wedding party was having their hair styled prior to my appointment. Studio 7 gave me a call to let me know they were 30 minutes behind schedule. I really appreciated this courtesy and was able to finish running my errands instead of waiting around. I have even convinced my husband to have his hair cut there as well, and now he won't go anywhere else. read more

I recently had my first appointment at Studio 7 with Amberli. It was a great experience! I have tried several salons in the area, and have not landed on one that I have been completely satisfied with; however, I think Studio 7 might just be it. Amberli was wonderful, very nice and professional, and listened to what I wanted as well as provided her own thoughts and suggestions in response to my questions. It's nice when I can show pictures of what I like and walk out with my hair looking exactly like what I asked (that has rarely happened for me!) I felt the service and outcome was exceptional. I have been a client of Studio 7 Salon for 3 years. I normally see Joshua, but yesterday I saw Whitney. I love my experience at Studio 7. They always take time to listen to your ideas about your hair and try to understand what look you want to achieve. They are truly talented professionals. Alston, the studio administrator is extremely warm, friendly, and bubbly and makes you feel so welcome when you visit. Having a bright, smiling face to greet customers means so much! On my visit yesterday, Whitney went above and beyond and actually performed two different scalp massages and a hand massage as part of my visit and did a fantastic job with my hair. The online scheduling was user friendly and quick. The location was easy to find and there was a large parking lot. The inside was very clean and well decorated. Dillon, at the front desk, greeted me warmly and was professional yet personable. Joshua gave me an excellent haircut and spent time ensuring that he gave me the cut and style I was looking for. I didn't feel rushed and the salon environment seemed like a cohesive team with no drama among the stylists. The shampoo and scalp massage felt great and the hot towel on my face was a nice added touch .As a hairstylist myself I found Studio 7 to be a cut above. Pun intended!! I've been going to Studio 7 for about three years, and can't speak highly enough of the team. My hair grows like a weed, so I am in to see Josh Moore for a cut every three weeks or so. He is awesome at working with the type of hair you have to create a style that makes you look your best. I'm always nervous when it comes to getting my brows waxed professionally--over the years, I have had my skin pulled off or walked out looking like Mommy Dearest, but each of the gals that have done my brows here have taken off just enough and left the brow in a shape that worked with my eyes. I normally go to Wilson's on Washington but a few weeks ago I thought I'd give this place a try. Place is nice, but my stylist was not! My stylists name was Amber I just wanted a simple color service and a trim. The whole time she seemed distracted, kept getting out her phone to text, and was gossiping to another stylist. Very rude and unprofessional. She managed to get color on my face and an uneven trim. I will most likely never go back- if I do I will not be seeing Amber the stylist ever again. Think I will go back to Wilsons .On Washington and have my friendly on point stylist who has yet to let me down. Overall BAD experience. Bad stylist. read more

Candy Spearman is an outstanding stylist, and is up to date on the latest trends for all hair types. She has a great personality and you can tell that she truly enjoys what she does. She also has a lot of experience with multiracial hair and is a great stylist to see for color, highlights and for anyone who is transitioning from relaxers to going natural. Candy Spearman is the absolute best! If you need a blow out, she is the one to see. She is very knowledgeable about how to properly care for your hair. She sincerely listens to your ideas and concerns plus she is always helpful at giving great advice for your individual hair care needs. She is the best in the Upstate for natural hair care. I have been to see Melissa M. a couple of times now. She has been friendly, professional and does a great job! I don't give her a whole lot to go on yet she manages to nail it each time. I have a LOT of hair. I'm talking double and triple the amount of most people so getting my hair done in a salon is very costly. I feel like the price is VERY fair. The shop itself is a garage feel with the stylists storage being tool boxes. It's very fun and unique. I have lived in SC for just about years and have finally found my salon home. read more

I moved to Simpsonville, SC August 1, 2012 and I was nervous as to where I would find a new hair stylist. I am use to going to high end salons in NYC. Ann was my stylist at Studio 7 in Greenville, SC. I went in for hair color...a single process.....and my hair is blonde. She really knows what she is doing. Okay so I went to see Nicole, and she gave me the most beautiful, perfectly faded out ombre that I wanted. I have red hair(colored a deep, bright red) and Nicole ombred it to a gorgeous golden blonde. On top of that, Nicole was amazing with communication and instantly knew what I wanted. She gives a great scalp massage, too! And she's so so nice. The other stylists at Studio 7 are sweet as well! The second I walked in I felt welcome. Love this place!! I went to Studio 7 hoping for a big change.. Well, that is exactly what I got! Nichole did such a wonderful job " fixing " the mess I came in with. Color correction, fabulous new highlights and get this...I got extensions!! I love love love them.. She put them in, helped me with advice on how to care for them Even told me if i had any questions she was only a phome call away!! Nichole made me feel like I a new woman! Went to get my hair lightened by Kristen (originally a dark red undertone brown). I left the salon that day not feeling 100% in love with my look. The next day when I decided that the blonde I had was a little to coppery for my liking. So I gave Studio 7 a call and asked if I could come in for a toner. Kristen was an angel and let me come in that exact day and she didn't even charge me. She is super sweet, talented and actually listens to what you want. I highly recommend her! read more

Loved this place! I travel a lot for work, which is was brought me to the adorable Greenville. Also because of my crazy travel schedule, I had allowed far too long between eyebrow waxwings. This is the only place still open! And thank goodness. The gal that did my brows was not only brilliant at her craft, but also so incredibly sweet!
