If given zero stars was an option then that's really what this would be. I went in for a basic fill on the acrylic set I have. 2 hours! It took the girl 2 hours to do my nails! She replaced 2 nails for absolutely no reason and the shape is hideous. The girl never communicated with me about my nails but had no trouble talking to her coworkers about me. Poor quality nails, one nail broke 20 minutes after and that was after having them fix my nails because they were uneven and the polish was peeling off I got frenchies in black with acrylic. As well as my toes, also uneven and a hair was on one of my toes, I've been here twice both times we're not pleasant but the second time was worse. Also got ring of fire on my nail and one of the gentleman were being way too aggressive with my nails and the filing was way too much it hurt had to tell him multiple times to go easy, first time though my jewelry on them lasted decently which was nice but overall not great experience. read more

I'm not one to really write reviews, but when you spend as much as you do here and see the quality of work you have to. I've given this place 3 tries hoping for a better outcome but every single time I've gone here my gel has chipped within 48 hours. I also got infected cuticle after my last visit. Really disappointed from the service we received here last Wednesday evening. I had made an appointment for my daughter and I a few days prior and received confirmation. When we arrived it was busy, they told us to go pick colors then sat my 6 year old daughter at a table away from me while I was in a chair to get a pedicure. Water was cold, they did not do any of the service I selected. It was like they just squeezed us and whoever had "an appointment" in. I was then charged $27 for fingers painted and $27 for toes painted for a child. Then $45 for my pedicure that was totally rushed. $99 for all of that- while not even a week later most of the paint has peeled off. I will never return nor will I recommend this to anyone. Do not go here if they are busy.. the quality will suffer!! My nail job probably bordered on the worst I've ever had. They look like cheap Walmart press ons. I came in the day before Easter. They were packed. Like PACKED.. to the point it was hard to make it down the center isle. I asked for a full set and my daughter asked for a shellac. They must have misunderstood because they simply grabbed the color and quickly painted her nails in a quick 2 minutes (literally) and didn't even put a topcoat on her nails to seal the color on. The head lady started my nails. She hardly filed them down, didn't push back or cut my cuticles, nor did she completely cover my nail properly. It took probably 10-15 minutes from start to finish of attaching the full set and filing the shape. A nice man came over and I showed him the pattern I wanted and he did that well. That was one good thing I can say about it. Really... the photos speak for themself. This was ONE DAY (seriously 24 hours) after having them done there. And my daughter's 3 days after having hers painted. AWFUL work. They charged me $70 for this. $70!!!!!! I paid it and got the heck out. For that kind of money I would really expect SO MUCH MORE. I had heard good things about Nail Citi from friends that go there, I had personally never been there. I wanted to treat myself to birthday nails and called to see if they had any availability, they did. I signed in and was told to pick out my color. I got to wall of colors and was told by another employee to have a seat. I told him I didn't have a color picked out yet and he said there were too many colors we'd do ombré ? I sat down at his station with a few pallets of colors in my lap and he was getting me set up for ombré nails? I had proceed into telling him two times in total I didn't schedule for ombré nails just a full Aryclic set with a solid polish color. He rushed through my set like he was being timed the how time, it stressed me out. I asked for length short, almond in shape. I paid $60 for a set that don't even resemble almond shape. I am even missing a chunk of Aryclic out of my nail from his end filing on my left hand. I will never go there again or recommend clients there. If you are looking for a relaxing self care moment that is not the salon to go to! TERRIBLE read more

She was very clearly the manager or boss of the nail salon and she rushed through them, I was not given the service I paid for my nails or my toes. My nails were covered with nail polish when she finish. After she rushed through my manicure and pedicure she then laid in a chair and closed here eyes. Cleary she had better things to go. Hmmm. Few things that sort of make me wonder about this place. First off, came with my wife and we received polite and cordial, even friendly service from the two individuals that managed our visit. What bothers me: cash only. Hello, it's 2019. Who deals cash only unless they're playing money games with their taxes? I could suggest more but it shouldn't have to be brought up in order for you to figure it out. Especially unusual for a nail salon: "if you don't have cash, no problem, just come back when you have it." Wow, OK. Temporary liners in the pedicure basins that are made of plastic, but if they're being changed out between customers, I didn't witness it, and the water hanging around in it suggests other things could be lingering in there, like someone else's bacteria and more. Not the level of sanitation I'd expect from a salon. Crammed like you wouldn't believe. There's barely room to move in here and combined with the oddly patterned floor tile, worn out in spots, the feeling is like you're in a crazy hoarder's version of a salon. Weird. Oh, and the massage chairs are beyond their useful date to my eye. Mine was more like sitting in a torture chair when it was on and moving. No thanks. This is not to detract from the lovely two people that did our pedicures. Quite nice, in fact, and we tipped them nicely as they deserved. It's the owner here I have an issue with. Even stranger, said owner apparently owns at least 3, maybe 4 other similar nail salons around town. So all in all, a strange visit, they got the job done, but don't think I'd return and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Your mileage may vary. There are other options in town that feel a little more legitimate and we intend to move our business there and consider this a one-time visit that was amusing at best, a tad creepy at the worst. read more

When you walk in you'll immediately be greeted by nail technicians (and the smell of nail polish remover). They'll ask you to sign in and put down what service you request. Then they'll tell you to pick a color and wait for a technician to be available. I've never had wait for service because they're always fully staffed with about 10 technicians to help. I was hesitant to try a new nail salon in Lawrence because I've had experiences with them being expensive, unhygienic, and subpar. (Around $45) Here, you can get gel removal and a new set of gels for $25! while my nail shape isn't perfect and sometimes the polish is little off, you're paying for what you get and I think it's a great value. The nail technician that helped me the first time still remembers me. She used a specific base coat help strengthen my nails and it has worked wonders. She still checks in every time I visit to see how my nails look. Every time I visited I've seen one of the employees cleaning the stations, the floor, and other surfaces in the shop. I have not seen a speck of dust yet. For each manicure and pedicure they use new nail files and have changeable liners for the pedicure tubs. I would, and have recommended, this salon to my friends. They are quick, cordial, and inexpensive. These women work all day everyday and I really appreciate their services. read more

I hadn't gotten my nails done in at least five years, took a chance on nail citi for a full set. They were able to get me in right away, however the nail technician who was applying my nails had her phone propped up on her workstation, her earbuds in and she was watching a movie or TV show the entire time she was doing my nails. She was watching her phone screen more than she was actually looking at my nails, which resulted in them being extremely thick and uneven. Because she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing she kept having to apply more acrylic, they are SO thick. She also only e-filed the opposite side of each finger she was holding, never traded the tool to her other hand to file both sides evenly, so each of my nails has a flat side with a huge hump of acrylic down the middle and the other side is rounded. On every single nail. She also kept trying to talk me into gels (even after I said no multiple times) which is $10 more - I'm glad I didn't waste any more money here after already spending $50 on something I'm going to have to get redone at another salon. She clearly only wanted to get more money out of me and did not care about her craft, the quality of her product, or the final result. Watching her phone was more important than being at work, which unfortunately is going to cost me double what I've already paid since I have to get my nails redone somewhere else. I made the mistake of trying a new place. The service was subpar and my pedicure looks horrible. I went in and asked for a manicure, pedicure, and to get my eyebrows done. They didn't even acknowledge that last. One of the girls broke a nail color jar near my shoes and they just threw my shoes aside instead of just moving it to the other side of the chair without the splatter. The pedicure I got was NOT worth the $36 that I paid for it and the lady constantly complained how my nails were too short. Sorry I don't like long nails? Save yourself time and money! I never write reviews but hope this will spare you the terrible experience. Took my daughter here and upgraded the pedi's with hot stones, massages, and wax in hopes treat ourselves. This was way overpriced ($60 each) and the worst pedicure I've ever experienced! Our feet weren't visibly any better looking except for our nails were polished and cut too short (we weren't asked about length). The technician was nice but not attentive at all. She was looking at and talking to the my daughter's technician for most of it including the entire time she did the callus scrub, hot stone rubs and massage. This made it a horrible (and at times painful) experience. I complained (which I have never done before over a pedicure) and was told there is nothing that could be done unless I contact the owner. We actually came home and gave ourselves a pedicure afterwards that made our feet look much better then they did. read more

I have been getting my nails done here for about 3 years. I've had a few little issues, but nothing I couldn't fix at home (filing). I went in to get my nails done for graduation and I wanted them to look like the first picture. I showed the person the picture and they said they could definitely do it, but since it was a pink and white ombré with gel, it would be $65. Since I was getting my nails done for graduation I didn't really care about the price because I wanted them to look really good. However that was not the case. $65 later my nails looked awful. You could see my real nail under the acrylic, the "ombré" didn't exist, the tops of my nails were thick and lumpy in some spots, and the shape of them was so awful. Ended up painting over them with glitter and filing them myself. Won't be returning. read more

I called literally 10 min before arriving to ask if there was a wait for a polish change and was told no, to come on in. After arriving, every station was full and was told to sit in one of the pedicure chairs. I waited at least 45 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was still there! Finally someone was available and gave me the worst polish job ever!
