Yesterday was my first time going to the Nail Center. I made an appointment on-line for full set with ombre. I was warmly greeted and asked if I needed anything while I had a short wait. I showed my technician a picture of what I was looking for and it was similar to others, NC has in their google pics. As she looked for the supplies she needed, she spoke with a coworker ... she seemed a little frustrated that she couldn't find what she needed. Then I could see... even with a mask on ... that she was working it all out in her mind. She grab several powders only to start doing my nails then quickly grab another powder behind her. She did one nail and ask me if I liked it. I LOVED it!! Having had done my nails myself for years then decided it wasn't worth it.... I appreciate the nuances of applying nails and the techniques. She was very particular about how she applied the acrylic and took her time to shape it nicely. She checked with me several times throughout the process to make sure I was liking everything. When done, I had the color, look, and length I requested. One thing I didn't mention to her was the thickness. I absolutely hate when the acrylic is so thick and fat that you can't pick up anything. When that happens, I find myself filing them down as soon as I get home. This was NOT the case this time! The thickness is great and is what to be expected for it to last... not too thin and not too thick! I would have given five stars but there was one thing that I really can't overlook. The nail file used was, well.... very used and rough. When she filed the sides of my nails ... and yes, I understand this happens often, she filed down into my skin and I ended up with several cuts. I heal fairly quickly and I'm not concerned with the possibility of infection ... especially with all the hand washing and sanitizers ... but I think it is worth mentioning. Overall, I'm happy with my nails and will be back! read more

First time visiting this salon. I asked for a full set with French ombré and tapered coffin shape and she was so good! The ombré added $10 to final cost. They kept making sure she wasn't hurting me and offered me water, lotion, etc. She did accidentally cut me at one point but it was underneath the nail and she felt really bad and tried to clean it out and put neosporin on it. I appreciated that she actually addressed it instead of ignoring it and pretending it didn't happen. I just wish she would've taken five bucks off or something since it was kinda deep but overall very happy with the work and likely will be back! read more

I went in for an acrylic removal and wouldn't go back. The nail tech bent my nails backwards to peel them off with another acrylic to avoid spending the time soaking them off and they're basically unusable and have started breaking at this point. This isn't my first, or 20th, time get acrylics removed but it is the first time they've been in this bad of shape after Update- 10/10 nails have broken past the white part of the nail read more

Made an appointment here because my usual place was booked for a couple weeks. Came in for a deluxe pedicure and a dip manicure with matte top coat. I was seen on time which was great. The nail tech did a great job and was friendly enough. My issue: the dip manicure cost $40 when every place around the area is $30. Also they charge $3 for a matte top coat, and the matte top coat they use is a cheap and doesn't stay matte at all and goes shiny with the oils from your skin. I get my nails done every 2 weeks and usually its $75 for both services whereas here they charged $91. Super bummed that they charge so much more than all the other places because they do a good job. Was told by one of the ladies working there that the area around there houses cost more and that rent is more and that they get paid less and that's the reason for charging more. Unfortunately I will stick with my go to place every two weeks. read more

Went in for my appointment for a Deluxe Gel Pedicure. Sat down water was cold I told the nail tech she gestured she fix the temperature she didn't so I told her again mean well I'm being bombarded by two other tech to pick a color. I had to ask them to slow down I then said the water is cold the nail tech emptied the water in turned on just hot water. It wasn't to the point I was uncomfortable so I didn't say anything however she took off my nail color pretended to remove cuticles and rub some exfoliate on my foot for a quick minute rinsed my feet off in emptied the water? I was by this time upset spoke up then an English speaking woman came from the back in asked me what was wrong in said this was a Deluxe pedicure in would cost me $65 plus $5 for an extra color I was like no im not paying $70 for scrappy service in to charge me for the nail color removal since it really was all she had done. Mind you I was only in the chair about 10 minutes in had asked then to slow down three times it was so overwhelming I said I'm done in would pay for the services provided they wanted to still charge me $50 i said for just removing my regular nail color? no im not paying that needless to say I left very disappointed in I was charged $20 its not about the money its more about the fact that as a busy working woman when I manage time to treat myself to a pedicure I want it to be relaxing not overwhelming. And good business would of tried to fix this issues instead of demanding I pay full price for the Deluxe pedicure I didn't get. May I should have paid attention to the fact that there was only one other client in in all the other nail tech seemed to busy on thier cell phones the providing quality customer service. I haven't even had the chance to check out this mail place, which I was excited to do. Last week, I made a mani/pedi appointment for the following Wednesday. Due to a big winter storm rolling in, I called on Tuesday at 9am morning (yesterday) to reschedule and left a message. No call back by 10am, so I wanted to see if I could do a walk-in. They were completely closed with no sign saying they would be closed/unavailable. It's now Wednesday...I still haven't received a call back and they auto-texted me reminding me of my appointment this afternoon. She did a gorgeous ombré French-tip style dip that is seriously one of my favorite nail treatments I've ever gotten. I also love that they'll do online appts through Yelp. This place is great! I wanted to get a dip set and then details and I have had the hardest time finding a place that will do that. I called them to see if they had time to fit me in and I was able to walk in 15 minutes after i called. I just moved to the area and was in desperate need of a mani/pedi after packing/moving/unpacking. I scheduled a next-day appointment super easily through the website. After checking in, every guest is asked to wash their hands - the environment is clean, bright, welcoming, and low-drama. Hannah did a gel mani with teal chrome and checked in with me at every step to make sure I was comfortable and didn't need any changes to shape, color, or design. She used brand new equipment and greeted every guest when they arrived/left. I did a luxury pedicure with D - she, too, checked in with me about water temp, any discomfort in my toes, pressure, and color. Each technician made me aware of any price adjustments (chrome, gel removal, etc) so I knew exactly what to expect upon check out. I will definitely be coming back to Nail Center. I went back today to the salon because my gel manicure chipped after one week of getting it done. The technician who helped me today agreed to fix my nail but she had a rude domineer and made me feel bad that i am lying and asked me " what did you do with your nail" she and the other 2 technicians talked very loud to each other the whole time that I was there. I like the technicians in this salon and have had mostly had good experiences. I previously would have given it 5 *. I decided to write a review this time however because I had a strange and seemingly fraudulent experience. At the end when I was paying on the credit card tablet it asked how big a tip I wanted to leave. The calculations were inflated. For example, my bill was $50 and it asked if I wanted to leave a 20% tip, and the total it gave me was $13. Obviously 20% of $50 is $10, not $13. I wonder how many people don't even notice this dishonesty. This changed my impression of this salon and will definitely make me think twice about going back there. read more
