This is very clean salon with good hygiene practices! It is on the small side - 4 pedicure chairs and 4 nail stations - but I don't mind because it is nice and quiet! They have a huge selection of polishes and powders. I got a shellac pedicure and it turned out wonderfully! The decor is simple and somewhat dated. I got here at 7:40pm it closes at 8pm and was denied service because they "close 10 minutes early" it was not even 10 minutes till 8pm yet. All I wanted was a pedicure and a manicure, if that was too much then I could've just gotten one or the other but they didn't even give me that option. DO NOT recommend. It's difficult to find a good nail salon where the staff is genuinely kind, but here is one. I called on a Friday night, hoping for a Saturday morning appointment for pedicures for my friend and myself. They were booked up, unfortunately. HOWEVER, the apparent owner, a male, gave us 9:00 appointments, and it wasn't until we arrived that I realized they had opened early for us! Now I'm not saying that will always be possible, but it sure is great customer service. The shop is clean. My tech was the youngest person there, but no need to worry. The pedicure was exactly the kind I prefer, which is not overkill on the massaging, no unnecessary scraping, and my toenails were gently and expertly filed and polished and looked symmetrical and pretty when she was done. I walked in a little after opening and was able to get helped right away. I went in for a full set, they worked very fast, only took 1.5 hours to remove my old set, put on new ones and shellac color. The shape wasn't exactly what I wanted but still looks very good, he did a great job making sure my nails looked perfect though, can definitely tell they take there time and want to make them look good. My only complaints are that they don't use the packaged nail tools that are clean and they didn't measure my nail length next to the one on the opposite hand. I have never had such a bad mani/pedi. First, they did not have gel color that matched the regular polish for my toes. She used the grinder on my nails and made them so thin that they are breaking and splitting downward from the ends. And I keep my nails very short. I will never go back to this place. read more

I have been going to Nails Care at the corner of West Main and Drake in the same little Plaza for 17 YEARS since they opened! I LOVE THEM. They do an amazing job. When you get a pedicure they get the dead skin off your feet.! My polish changes last for weeks. I have grown out my nails so they do my fill with acrylic making sure to make my nails look beautiful and keep them safe. So I never need plastic tips put back on. . . Unless of course I completely break a nail in which case they fix it perfect and you never know the difference when I leave. For years and years people ask me who "WHERE you get your nails done? They look so good." And I always tell them go see Tu and his family at Nails care! They are amazing! They have been in business in Kalamazoo in the same spot longer than any other nail salon in town! And the reason is... they don't water down there acrylic, they don't water down the polish. They do a GREAT JOB and your nails don't lift. You don't get any creepy infections. And your acrylic doesn't peel off your nails! NAILS CARE has so many repeat customers that I need to make an appointment because they are so busy all the time. Even with that, they do a good job getting walk-ins in taken care of. Now I will be driving three hours home every three weeks to see them. They are THAT Great! read more
