I tried this nail salon based on the reviews. All bogus. when I set down the tech cut my entire nail off without even asking me. I asked her why she said " you want cut down" I said it would have been nice if you to ask how low before you cut my entire nail of. She acts as did she couldn't understand me. My daughter and I are visiting from out of state and stopped in hoping to get a quick manicure this morning. What we ended up with was an even better experience than we anticipated. I got a pedicure form Nancy, and my daughter got a dip French manicure from Anne. They made it fun and a truly memorable experience. Both of them are incredibly talented at what they do. Although my nails came out ok, the girl that did my nails was so unprofessional. She had her two kids running around the nail salon, kicking my chair, playing in stuff, they were just all over the place. She was more focused on them than doing my nails. Then she was reading my text messages and asked what an abbreviation ment. Then she took too long for me to get my feet done, but she wanted to announce to the other nail tech that I am not getting not getting my pedi done because I spent too much money on my nails. I made an appointment to get GelX nails and a normal pedicure. I had to wait 15-20 minutes even though I had an appointment. Aside from the application of the extensions and paint job, which was not good at all, a few days later, I ended up with an infection on my one nail, swelling and blistering. As I got a pedicure done, I was nicked 2-3 times causing bleeding. The staff were very very nice and conversational, great people, but the service was disappointing. :( read more

I had a pretty great experience. I have 'thin skin' at my cuticles, which I told my tech. She nicked me on the third nail and was much more gentle after that to en up with terrific looking nails. I was headed to a wedding that afternoon and she did 3 coats. That was August 26th and other than being quite grown out they look amazing! Only one peeled so far. So I used to go here to get my gel tips filled, and had no problems. I recently went here before I left to go on vacation on a Wednesday. By Thursday at work, almost all of my nails were chipped. I ran back in after work Thursday before driving to the airport, and had them redo it. I chose the same color and asked if maybe it was the polish, they said no. She even put a "stronger top coat" since she knew I would be going on vacation. When I was letting them dry, I noticed all of my nails were bubbling. I showed the ladies and the owner came and put another top coat on top. This actually made it so you couldn't see the bubbles. I get to my vacation spot and see that my friend has chosen the exact same nail color as me (Lincoln Park after dark)... only they didn't look anything alike! I think Glamour just kept thinning their polish down so they could keep using the same colors. Needless to say, even with the stronger top coat, my manicure was chipped, peeled off, and gone within 3 days. I got home Monday and had to take the polish off- it looked so bad. Thursday-Monday for a manicure, pathetic! I wanted to say my pedicure lasted longer and it was only the polish I chose for my fingernails that was faulty... but nope. Pedicure has already begun chipping and it hasn't even been a week. I'd like to think I get at least 3 weeks out of a pedi before I have to go get a new one. Do not go here, EVER! The prices are cheap enough, $30 for mani/pedi, but so not worth the agony of a crappy manicure. read more

The reviews on here are really accurate, they do great pedicures here!! Me and my mom came and got them done, and they're very gentle with all the cuticle cutting, nail filing, and cutting. Honestly, this really doesn't even deserve a star. The woman I had got up and left in the middle of my shellac manicure to get a pop. (This manicure only lasted under 15 minutes). She also scrubbed my nails with water and got water all over my face. The cuticle oil applied at the end was put on in one big swipe and then that was it. The gentleman working the front desk rolled his chair outside and sat at the side of the building. The towels they used had stains all over them and tears. It looked dirty. She had me put my hands in what looked like a cereal bowl of cold water. She massaged one hand at the end for about the 30 seconds and the other hand for about 5 seconds (no joke). My nails polish is already peeling off. I will never go here again. Terrible! read more

Was surprised at how dead it was inside for a Saturday. Which was good for me, no wait. Paint job was mediocre. On one nail there were weird imprints on the tip which was annoying. I can't believe how bad my nails looked after going here - if I could give 0 stars, I would. I came in with gel polish on grown out acrylics and left wishing I had the money and time to go to a real salon to just take it all off. The woman working on my nails, whom I believe is the owner, took my dark purple gel polish off with the nail sander, which is theoretically fine as I was getting a fill. However, she left 3 prominent bits of the old polish on the sides of my nails which of course come through very clearly on my new, light tan nails. The fill itself was poorly done and uneven, and when I tried to complain midway through she falsely claimed it would all be fixed at the end. The cuticle oil was applied in one big sweep that ended up mostly above my knuckles. The nail polish was applied poorly and ended up so streaky and transparent that my fills are clearly visible under it. Instead of sitting at a drying station, I was asked to hold my hands up to a little fan at the manicure station for 7 minutes. She had trouble with her equipment throughout, spending 5 minutes trying to fix the brush she was using for the acrylic. Normally I wouldn't complain about that - things happen, I get it - but she never apologized, didn't actually fix the brush but instead went ahead and used it (was it their only brush?), and on top of everything else seemed to indicate a general lack of professionalism. Speaking of, the place was filthy. She used toilet paper off a roll to put under my hands, the towel she was using to wipe her tools was stained and crusty, and I'm almost positive they don't regularly clean the equipment with anything but soap and water between clients. Other highlights: -polish was left all over my fingers -polish pooled at my cuticles and left a weird ridge as it grew out - my nails were filed down unevenly and I wasn't even asked what shape I wanted -on two fingers there were significant gaps between my cuticle and where the fill ended (this was what she had earlier promised would be fixed by the end) read more

Went there to get my no chip polish redone. Ended up with pooled polish near my cuticles and up on my skin on numerous fingers. One chipped off along the bottom after one day.
