I found Tracy through Yelp and I can vouch for all of her 5 star reviews. I went in for a gel mani after seeing her pictures and reading how reasonable her prices are. It took me a while to decide what color to get my nails as she has so many different gel polish colors! She is super meticulous during the manicure and gel application. Her salon is located in the back of her home. She knew I was a new customer so she kindly guided me from the front of her property as my car was pulling up. Her salon is one of the cleanest I've ever seen in my life. It is evident that she takes pride in her work! She does not take walk-ins as she works alone. My usual spot is closed on Mondays (dangit). I was in a panic to get my nails done before vacation and I needed a spot that would take a walk in. A few girlfriends of mine recommended that I get gel done since I would be traveling. I hopped in an Uber and hightailed my unorganized ass over there. Tracy was such a sweetheart. She walked me through the whole gel process and did me up real nice. She has a huge selection of colors, seriously. I couldn't decide but she was very patient and helped me with a few suggestions. She gave me advice on how to take care of my nails after I remove the gel as well. She's friendly, professional, efficient, meticulous and a perfectionist. I will definitely be back to see her when I am ready for another gel manicure. Oh, she doesn't charge an arm and a leg either. I think it was only about $20 for a gel mani if I remember correctly. I stumbled into Tracy's salon on a rainy night in January. I wanted to get a gel manicure before my birthday and I was running out of time. Tracy asked if I could wait 10 minutes while she finished her current customer, which was no trouble at all. She then proceeded to give me the best french manicure EVER. Just like that I was addicted to my Tracy visits. She gave me her cell number so that I could call or text her to make appointments. She was so great at making time for me. She has a fantastic selection of gel polish (way better than other salons) and I loved all her color changing (the color changes depending on your body temperature) and glitter options. We had fun experimenting with bright new shades of purple and adding designs to match the seasons. I was having trouble with my toe nails getting ingrown, so I waited about six months before I asked Tracy to give me a pedicure. She was a wizard at cutting my toe nails to relieve the ingrowns and she also removed all the calluses from my feet. So then I was addicted to pedicures as well as manicures! I was so sad to learn that Tracy was leaving San Francisco and moving to Oakley. Oakley is crazy lucky to have this talented manicurist and overall sweet lady. I miss you Tracy! read more

I've FINALLY found a great place near my house to get my nails done!! I've only tried one until today, and it was awful; reviews on the other ones near my house have kept me clear of those as well. Tracy is great!!! I read in the reviews that she is a one-woman show, so I called ahead and booked an appointment with no problem. About 45 minutes before my appointment, she called and asked if I could come half an hour later. It was no problem at all, and I really appreciate that she called to ask rather than just letting me arrive and wait. It gave me time to park my car, go upstairs, for a minute, etc., and not stress about trying to get there on time only to sit around waiting. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Both came out looking fantastic and she really has a great selection of colors. She is efficient, but not rushed; my nails got more attention than they have in a while, and you can see it. And at $40 for a gel mani/pedi, which is exactly what I pay at the place in Oakland I go, it's definitely NOT overpriced. (The one I went to down the street charged me $50 for what was possibly the worst gel manicure and pedicure I've ever had in my life.) To top it all off, she is super sweet and friendly. She engages in friendly conversation with you without talking your ear off. I found her really sweet and genuine, and I am glad to have found her so that I can keep supporting her business! I know I will need to make an appointment but it's no problem...she obviously respects appointments, unlike some places, so I can be confident that if I have an appointment she will respect it (or call me to give me a heads-up if it needs to be changed). Happy to echo the other reviews in saying Tracy is wonderful. She has a great selection of colors -- both regular and gel/shellac -- and is very thorough and clearly takes a lot of pride in her work. I've had my mani/pedi for 3 weeks now and everything has remained perfect! While that might partially be due to the gel (I'm never going back to regular!), I've had previous gel manicures that peel off within a couple of weeks, and this one isn't. I'll definitely be back! Since it's just Tracy who does the nails at this salon, I recommend calling and making an appointment to avoid a wait. First, Tracy is the sweetest nail lady you will ever meet. Not only is she nice to talk to during your nails getting done, but she is the biggest perfectionist that I've ever met. I was referred to this nail salon by yelpers and I was not disappointed!!! I went in without an appointment around 5pm today and she was able to accommodate me without any issues. I went in for a gel french mani and they turned out so beautiful!! WOW!! And she takes her time, I didn't feel rushed at all. I got to sit in a big comfortable chair and have a long chat with her while she did my nails. From what the other yelpers have said about her she is a perfectionist! I saw her use this brush to make sure my french tips have the nice square curve and she even added a layer of gel with some light sparkles. WOW again!!
