Let me start by saying that they have an 86! If I noticed this score when I initially went in I would have turned around immediately. The tech put on the same gloves that she used with the patron before me and rinsed off the cuticle trimmer and fingernail clipper to use on me. I asked for clean utensils and a new nail file as well as gloves. She then started yelling to the others in Vietnamese before Doing what I asked. She then dug in my nail bed until it bled and when I needed my nail polish to be fixed after I paid her she then started working on another customer. So disappointed. I started coming here a year and a half ago. It was so nice then; maybe Covid kept people away and they were grateful for the business? The last time I came in I swore never again, but here I am today. I get gel pedicures and have for well over 5+ years. The man that was attempting to remove my polish used the dremel and burned my big toe. I politely asked him to stop and he continued. I even pulled my foot away and he pulled it back and kept drilling. I finally said again, "please stop now. You are burning me" he got offended as I asked him to please soak off my gel. He then proceeded to not soak off my gel and just use a standard file and scrub at my toes for about 10-15 minutes. Afterward, he got up and walked away. A lady came and put one coat of base, followed by one coat of gel and a top coat and said ok bye bye. Total was $45 for pain and a bad pedicure. So sad that in a major college town, you can't get a decent pedicure. I guess I'll have to go back to doing my own mani/Pedis. FYI my toe is still hurting and is red all around the nail edges. The dremel incident was over an hour ago. Avoid this place. It's not worth damaging your nail beds. read more

I visited this because it was next to Publix (Cary Creek) location. The people didn't say hello which should have been my first clue. The lady (Tammy) on the receipt but since she didn't introduce herself, I don't know if that's really her name. Worst service ever. She charged me $33 for a fill and cut my nails super short and didn't finish with cleaning under the nails or conditioner on top. We have been coming here for a while and the service has gone way down hill. The other day we had an appointment for 6 for my daughter's first dance. We were not done together and they took so long one person didn't even have time to get their services done. We ended up with just one service instead of two because they were running so late. I would understand if we walked in, but we made an appointment and still had this happen. The lady doing my nails was rude and had an attitude. Really good place. My mother and I went to get our nails done. They were really nice though when I was getting my acrylics done the lady kept pushing for me to get gel. I can not get gel because it reacts terrible to my skin and my fingers swell and turn red. I had to tell her 4 or 5 times I did not want gel. I'll try to explain why I walked out of this place very disappointed. My favorite nail place EVER is in Auburn Alabama. It is called the Nail Boutique Spa, located in the Moores Mill road area, right next to the Publix. I have written a review of this place. They do an amazing job and I pretty much shun nail places all over the country and wait until I'm back in Auburn. About two months ago, a new Publix was built off University ave. A few stores around the Publix on Moore's mill road opened a second location around the new Pulix. Including Shakes and the Louies chicken fingers place. Nail Boutique AND Spa also opened near the new Publix. I assumed it was a second location for my fave nail place. I failed to notice the big difference in the names. Three letters. AND. Anyways, I walked into this place and knew almost immediately that they were imitators. There was no friendly hello. They made me sign in. There weren't five people waiting ahead of me to get their nails done (trust me, this is a good sign!). The service menu did not have three different levels of pedicures I could get. I was stuck with paying $25 for a pedicure that didn't wow me. The equipment did not come freshly autoclaved. However, the lady that did my nail was nice. Don't get me wrong. It wasn't a horrible pedicure but it wasn't what I was used to. Alas I know now not to be deceived again. Next time, I'll drive the couple extra miles to Nail Boutique Spa. Do not come here. Waited for over 20 minutes in the water. I was planning on getting the deluxe pedicure, but was never asked which one I wanted and received one of the fastest pedicures ever. Then she left me sitting in the chair to go do someone else's nails and all she had left to do was my last coat. They have three kids running around the place and screaming. When I come to get a pedicure I come to relax not listen to that. The overall experience was awful. I will not be back. read more

This was the worst nail experience I have had. One of the guys there was assigned to me. During my pedicure when trimming my nails he cut my toe really badly - it was bleeding quite a bit and all I got was "sorry" and he put some kind of liquid on it. It continued to bleed in the water for a while and then he couldn't put polish right up to that point. I was unable to wear the shoes I had bought for an even and had to wear sandals in cold weather so nothing would touch my toe. It was still very sore over a week later. I was never asked which package I wanted or even told that they offered different ones. I was never asked how I wanted my nails trimmed (square or round) and my nail polish was put on so thick on my fingers that it chipped off in big sections just 3 days later. I walked in here for a gel manicure prior to attending a wedding the same evening. The young lady who provided my service was brand new, first day on the job. She clearly didn't know where any supplies were located and seemed terrified. When she was finished, my nails looked a mess and multiple nails had been fused to my skin. An owner or manager came over to try and fix the situation. I asked for the polish to be removed and she said that if she could not fix it to my liking, then she would redo the whole thing. Since I had already been in the chair for 90 minutes, I declined a complete re-do. The photo is of the "fixed" product. Owners should make sure that new staff is properly trained before turning them loose to do manicures. I got the deluxe pedicure and I don't know if it was bc it was in the afternoon or bc I'm colored; but I was not pleased. The tech didn't scrub my feet like the other tech did the (Caucasian)lady across from me. My massage was not an massage. A rub down and that was it . I usually don't come here but my since my daughter needed a nail repair ( after 1 week ) I figured while I waited for her may as well enjoy an pedicure. My money is good and spend just as well as any other human being. I hate I came here I am pissed ; however I didn't complain to management bc what can be done ? Sure not an another deluxe pedicure on the house.. will just be an apology and I'm not understanding . I guess that's what I get for stepping out on AK nails . I suggest if you're colored don't come here bc the quality of service will not be equally to the service if you were Caucasian. If I could give no stars I would but had to give one to leave review. Oh and did I mention that the tech used the same gloves she had been doing my pedicure with to dip her hand into the scrub jar and mask jar (when they should have a dipping stick and not double dipping with their hands, this is unsanitary) then I was left in towel and paraffin wax bag while she started on another customer. I decided to switch to just gel nails after having acrylics for a couple years(I am a wildlife biologist, and wanted shorter nails that would still hold up to field work). I came here, and they took their time removing my acrylics (I was expecting them to be 'popped' off with a card like I have had in the past, but it was totally painless, soaked in acetone for an hour). Gel easily lasts 2 weeks without chipping (over a month if you don't mind some chips). Staff and atmosphere was very friendly, price is reasonable. This will be my new go-to place in Aub! read more

I've been here several times but won't return again. Last time I was there, the woman doing my nails was on her phone while cutting my cuticles as well as most of the time she was doing my manicure. Not only was it rude but I was a bit nervous that she might cut me since she wasn't paying attention. Then I went in today and waited half an hour. Then another customer walked in and she was waited on immediately. I said something to this same lady who did my last manicure. Went in one Friday afternoon because another nail salon was way too crowded. My friend and I did not wait at all. She was getting a gel manicure and I was getting a pedicure plus an eyebrow wax. We both enjoyed our mani and pedi and I especially enjoyed my eyebrow wax. They looked great and the technician even filled them in for me for no extra cost which made them look even better. My friend recommended this place to me, so I went with her a couple months ago. I had just gotten a manicure at another nail place a few days before, but they had done a poor job so I went here to get them fixed. I got a french manicure and it was $18, a little more pricey than other places in Auburn so I expected it to be good. The paint job itself was alright, but the manicurist cut my cuticles very haphazardly and made me bleed. The polish actually chipped that night and I was very frustrated. I hadn't even done much with my hands since I had just gotten them painted. They did give me a frequent visitors coupon to use for my next visits, but I won't be going here again. read more
