I am huge fan of Nail Bar. I am not a big fan of walking into to a nail salon and having 50 people not speaking English and I feel like I am in a heard of cattle. This is a family owned business and the people there are so friendly. They remember you and are always very nice. I have had both shellac manicures, pedicures and solar gel nails put on here. All of the above were great experiences. The massage was lovely and my nails and toes look great! Every time I walk out of Nail Bar a satisfied customer. The only thing I would caution is to make an appointment if you're short on time so they can get you right in. If they are busy and short staffed you may have to wait. I went in for a mani pedi. I am 23 weeks pregnant and very rarely get my nails done. I just wanted to relax. The guy doing my nails talked about how you have to keep your kids safe because of all the predators now. He would not stop with the horror stories. He brought up every child predator that has hit the news in the last five years. When he scrubbed the bottom of my foot I jerked back and said that it hurt. I called on the 23rd and asked if they could fit me in to get my nails done, I had got my nails done the week prior (5 days to be exact) and they ALL popped off on the night of the 22nd. My nails usually last about 2-3 weeks, and I am unsure as to why these ones didn't. I spoke to Tom, and he stated that there weren't any openings today (the 23rd) and to come on the 24th, at 5:30pm. After driving 30 minutes out of my way to Nail Bar, I arrived at 5:18, to find out they closed early. I am not complaining about closing early on Christmas Eve, my complaint is that I was not informed, and he set the time for the appointment. Even stating "come tomorrow the 24th at 5:30pm." I would consider myself a regular customer, since August 2021 I have not gone elsewhere for nails. Tom has always done my nails. I may not come for a month or so, and let my nails rest, but I always come back. I will not be coming back to Nail Bar, despite how much I love how they do my nails, and how reasonably priced they are. Ruby is superb! There is something so humble about her - even though she has a gift! I held back on this review because I don't want her to be so busy that I can't get an appointment with her. i've been coming for here for almost five years to get my nails done - i feel like the quality of my nails has been amazing the entirety of these last five years, but the customer service quality has gone down, seemingly everytime i go it gets worse. my biggest complaint is they book "appointments" but don't honor them. i sat waiting 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before they could even move me to a chair. kinda ridiculous to say you take appointments when you treat everyone like a walk-in. secondly, the techs won't even speak to you unless it's one sentence like "other hand" - this was not always the case. i used to have conversations with my techs and they always treated me nicely, and not just flicking/throwing my hand to the side instead of using their voices. finally, don't go 2-3 hours before they close unless you want them to rush. there's no good reason to rush my nails so you're done by 6 when you advertise that you're open until 7. again, my nails have always come out good, but i feel like the customer service aspect is telling me to go elsewhere. read more

The website says $33 for a kids mani/pedi and, once our feet were wet, they said my kids could only get a $35 adult pedi, not including the mani. This was the worst regular manicure I have ever had. The manicurist might have been a newbie. She was inefficient and actually cut through my skin while cutting off my cuticles, drawing blood. It was the most painful manicure I have ever had. She spoke NO English and didn't even understand "no". She didn't turn on the fan to dry my nails while putting on the layers of polish. I had to do it. One of my nails smeared and she had to fix it. When I left another had already smeared. She took so long I didn't have time to properly dry them. He was constantly looking at his phone and would continue to make snipes here and there I was going to let it go but when I went to pay he had the audacity to look at my Amazon credit card and morally shame me for small businesses closing. Okay let me start by saying that the woman who was in charge the day I went in was the most vile nasty trashy and condescending woman I've ever met in my life. I walked in to the appointment to an empty salon aside from the two other owners and the woman in charge who was working the front desk. She looks up from her phone as if it's an inconvenience that I'm there and said "do you have an appointment?" And I told her I did and for what time it was scheduled (a few minutes before I arrived) and she looked at a calendar and asked what service I requested. A reminder - there was nobody else there. I told her I didn't know, and that my boyfriend had scheduled it as a surprise and she scoffed at me and told me she couldn't perform any service unless she knew what I was getting (my boyfriend requested a mani-pedi on the phone a few hours earlier so she either didn't write it down when she asked him on the phone or was just a wench, both of which I'd believe) so I texted him and confirmed that he scheduled a mani-pedi and then she spoke to one of the other owners to do my service. I was still in a really good mood because I had been surprised with a mani-pedi by my s/o and figured she must just be having a bad day. We started the pedicure the owner who was doing my manicure spoke no English I wasn't concerned since pedicures don't require much talking and I just had to point at which color I wanted. But throughout the pedicure he kept staring at me like he was wary of me and was like staring into my soul as he scrubbed my feet. What's worse, they had no music or tv on for me to distract myself with (the first salon I've ever been to that didn't have some sort of background noise) About 40 minutes into my pedicure a very old woman comes in with a walker and explains to the woman in charge what she needs and that she called ahead and the woman in charge was MUCH nicer to her than me. She starts the woman's pedicure and the older woman seems cranky in the way most old people are, once she sat down she chatted about how her life's been recently and she talked about how a few more of her friends from high school died. She went on about how crummy it is to be old and the woman in charge seemed to be getting annoyed by her talking. She'd ask the older woman questions like what shape she wanted her nails, if she was comfortable with certain parts of the service, if the water was too hot etc. and the lady was responding very candidly (as most old people do). After about 10 minutes the woman in charge just snapped at her and chewed her out saying something along the lines of "if you have a problem with my service you can go somewhere else. I don't need you here and I have a right to deny you service if I want to". The older woman was really taken back because it seemed to come out of nowhere and didn't know what to do, I've never seen anyone do that in any context let alone a nail salon and at this point I was really uncomfortable. The older woman was a lot quieter after that and seemed startled but was trying to be overly friendly to relieve some tension and the woman in charge seemed satisfied enough to continue her service. My pedicure took 2 hours (just a basic pedicure) and he painted my toes the wrong color. I tried to tell him I wanted something different right when he started and that wasn't the color I selected but he didn't understand me so I just rolled with it and figured I'd just get another one somewhere else in a few weeks anyways. I still had my manicure to go and I knew it was going to take ages because my pedicure alone had already taken 2 hours. I told another one of the owners that I wanted a different color and they were able to help me, but I had to sit there and listen to the woman in charge be condescending and rude to the older woman for another 30 minutes. Then, after the first older woman left, another older woman came in and the woman in charge's entire demeanor changed again. She started speaking to the new older woman like she was black (the woman in charge is white for clarification) and started oversharing immensely about her relationship, her vacation, and her daughter. All of which, I could not tune out because it was just us in the expansive empty salon. After a total of 3 hours when my service was finally over they charged me 85 dollars for what my boyfriend was told ahead of time would be a 65 dollar service. I didn't even care at that point. I just wanted to get out of there because it was the most insane and bizarre experience I've ever had in my life. 0/10, would not recommend. read more

Made an appointment online for full set with pedicure. Upon arrival with my bestie was told that their online booking is messed up. My best friend and I waited over an hour. I was only able to get my nails done and not a pedicure. No worries. BUT this has been the worst mail experience I have ever had. It was very painful! I am giving them a 3 to average out the experience. The quality of nail work for my sister and I was great (we got full set of acrylics). My mom just wanted a manicure + polish. I am sure they slopped on the polish within 3 minutes-no filing etc..and it needed to be fixed 2 minutes out the door. Here is the issue-they are the only salon open on Sundays -so I get that they are busy. BUT...they need to then be honest-don't take reservations for Sundays (we had one at 1 and were seen at 2:00), don't tell people it will be a few minutes when it won't be, and most importantly don't sacrifice rushing around to see everyone for quality. I paid $60 for a pedicure, the polish came off the next day. This was for a special occasion, when I called and explained the situation, I requested a refund. I was told that I could get a free pedicure. I politely said this would not help me because the materials they use are faulty, and the special occasion for which I got the pedicure in the first place will have passed. Also I paid extra for an oil massage that consisted of having oil put on my legs quickly, there was no massage. To have nail polish that comes off the next day is inexcusable. I strongly do not recommend this nail salon. I came in for an appointment to get my acrylics removed (that they had messed up previously), and to get a gel manicure. The woman removed my acrylics with an electric file and once they were removed she would not stop filing. My nail beds were irritated right away and I could tell that what she was doing wasn't right. I felt my nails right after and they were as thin as paper. They were bending and you could nearly see through them (I was getting my normal nails done, not acrylics). The woman told me it was "normal" and kept on filing. I eventually told her not to paint my nails and to just make it a manicure manicure because my nails were completely ruined. I left after I was charged for nails that were worse than when I came in and called later that day to tell the manager what had happened. Basically, I was told that I could not get my money back and that in order to get my nails fixed I would have to come in the next day and pay full price for dip. Update from right now: Two of my nails have already broken off, my nail beds are in pain, I am not able to run my hands under hot water, I essentially just don't have any nails to use. I don't ever write this stuff online but I feel like I should share my experience to anyone considering going to this salon, and especially anyone that is considering working with the artist at station 7. This was the absolute worst place I have been. I called the day ahead asking if the staff were all female as I wanted to get a pedicure too. I don't want a strange man touching me so I prefer all females. I was assured this was the case. I made an appointment for myself and my mom and daughter. When I arrived at my appointment time A. There was a man doing the pedicures B. I was made to sit for 30 min before being seen. C. I decided to only get manicures because of the reason I stated above. D. During the manicure not only did each of the technicians talk in the cell phone for the entire time but did jot pay attention to their work at all. It was the sloppiest, slip shod manicure I have ever had. After she painted my nails she realized she didn't to a quick lotion massage of my hands so she attempted to do with over my wet nails. What a dumb thing to do! There was paint on my fingers she didn't remove. The nail file was bad and made my nails jagged. She didn't buff or smooth them. Same for my daughter and mom. Ok, first of all when I go in to get my nails done I don't expect to come out with T-Rex claws! Gel was bumpy, not smoothed out. Miss Kim the owner did my nails. Tell her you don't like them, she gets rough, mad and talks about you in her language. Not worth it. With her shaking so bad I couldn't handle anymore of her unprofessionalism. Time to retire Kimmy! Terrible experience where a older male technician cut my cuticles so badly during a manicure that a week later I'm still suffering and applying antibiotic ointment to my bruised cuticles! His skill base is poor applying nail polish as well. The polish is all over the nail base and on the skin of the fingers. He's rude and gets irritated when you ask him to correct the problem. There is a weird vibe in this place. The men that have done my pedicure each of the 3 times I have been there seem really pissed that they are doing what they are doing. At first I thought it was just me and my cloven hooves, but it seems they treat everyone this way. The last time I was there, I had some dry skin on my heel (hello, that's why I went in for a pedi!) and the guy kind of picked it off with his fingernail and made a face at me and said "Ewww, dry skin!" A few minutes later, I looked down and my toe was bleeding. He kept dunking my foot in the water and seemed to be trying to hide the fact that he had cut my toe. It's definitely the most unfriendly feeling nail salon I have ever been in. When you walk in the door, there is just tension in the air. I tried going to The Nail Salon down the road, first, and they told me they wouldn't be able to get me in for over an hour. No problem. I understand that. I had theworst pedi/mani ever.The message was done with 1 hand on each leg. the owner was the person providing my service she was working on another person the same time she was doing my pedi. Service was so so. Woman in charge is rude to her employees. She tried to sell me on removing acrylics and putting a new set on because she felt she had a better product. The set I have on was just replaced 2 fills ago. I've been getting fills and pedis for 12 years and this isn't a place I'd recommend. They were timely, but it wasn't a comfortable experience. Also, she nickel and dimed me. I paid for 2 pedis, one fill and my 4 yo to get her nails painted and she charged me over $100. I had one broken nail she had to repair and she trimmed them down a bit for me. Probably since I'm not a regular she stuck it to me. Too bad for her I was born and raised in the area and know hundreds of people who live near her shop. read more
