Disappointed. I got my nails done (a full gel set for $55 plus tip) Wednesday afternoon. The nails were very thick, but I liked the design so I let it go. Today is Saturday and 7 of my nails lifted to the point of me having to pull them off. I removed the remaining three myself. I've been getting my nails done for years, and after three days I shouldn't have been able to remove my nails this easily. I'm sad I wasted my money and time. read more

My husband and I are in town for a wedding. I broke a nail on our flight in. I stopped at two other nail salons. Both advertised they took walk-ins. I was pretty discouraged until my husband remembered seeing another salon on our way to our hotel. I walked in, expected rejection but I was surprised when the woman ushered me to her station. It took her about 5 minutes, start to finish, to repair my nail. She even had the same color gel polish I was wearing. She didn't charge me for the repair but I thanked her and gave her a health tip. I booked a Mani-Pedi so that I could get a little pampered on my birthday, something I haven't done in over 4.5 years. The pedicure went great, but then when we sat down for me to get the manicure, I think the tech got a little frustrated with me because I wasn't sure what color I wanted. They are cash only with an ATM inside! This is a very clean nail salon and I'm always very happy with the service I receive. I'm usually in for acrylic fills and occasionally a pedicure. Once I chose a stiletto shape and broke one of my nails same day, I got in the next day (because I cracked it at night when they were already closed) and the nail technician fixed it for me free of charge and on the spot. The employees have good interpersonal skills and are able to multitask well, I never feel like the quality of my service is compromised if my technician has to step away for a quick something else. If I find that the design or style of my nails aren't what I asked for, or if maybe I feel like a mistake was made, a quick question for clarification always clears it up. It's only when I'm too anxious to speak up that I'm left with a result I didn't desire. I think this speaks more to incidences of miscommunication (or lack of) rather than incompetence. read more

They tried to talk me out of SNS (I've done SNS for 5 years), so I guess they just don't know how to do it. I got acrylic nail put on after I specifically asked for gel nails. But that's not a big deal. Went back to get a fill. The person doing my nails uses a different color of acrylic powder than what was used last time. I like my nails to look mostly natural. I ONLY ever do a French tip with acrylics. It was incredibly obvious that two colors of acrylic powder were used. It looked so awful. When I asked her to make it so there wasn't a line she said she couldn't do that. So when I asked multiple times for her to just remove the acrylics she wouldn't. and she made me pick another color. There was nail polish on my skin when I left, and the tips of my nails were jagged. And the she charged nearly double of what the listed price for an acrylic fill is. read more

I was in town for the career fair and thought I'd try this place, it's right across from Starbucks. The lady seemed irritated that I was even there for a pedicure. It seemed clean enough with bags in the foot tub/bath but i noticed a dead fly in it half way through!! She scooped it out with her gloves hand and then kept going like nothing happened. I also had to ask her to paint a bottom coat after painting one toe with just color. Super bizarre place, would not go back or recommend. I came here at 5:30pm on a weekday and there was only one other person besides me. There was a man and a woman staff. I only did a gel removal (I'm doing a medical test in a few weeks) but they were very friendly and welcoming. The guy did the first half of my removal and the lady did the second half (after soaking). The guy was kinda quiet but nice. The lady was sociable to both myself and the other customer. They weren't yelling at/gossiping with each other while doing our nails and focused on their clients, unlike other places. The guy was hand-cleaning the pedicure machines while the lady was removing my gel, which was nice to see. The machines look a little dated but they have disposable plastic liners in the foot area. The space is decent but I would call to make an appointment, as I can see how it could get busy dying peak hours. There aren't any strong smells here and it seems clean and bright. I was surprised to find that the gel remover smelled good...my nails smelled like strawberries even after I returned home! I was surprised that they also filed my nails and put a hot towel on my hands...I was expecting them to do a bare-bones gel removal. It's cash only and there is an ATM machine but it looks a little old...not sure how reliable it is. I would just plan ahead and withdraw from another ATM/bank (there's a credit union with drive-thru ATMs next to Walmart). I have only visited this salon twice and already have formed an opinion. I got the bare minimum done for my nails at what I will say was a decent price, but the quality for which I paid for matched the price. My nails repeatedly were filed too thin, causing them to break and chip within a few days of having them. I thought I would give the salon another try, yet the second time I went I experienced more issues. I had the same nail tech as the previous appointment and he continued to make my nails crooked and too thin. Not only were my nails poorly shaped, but during the application (I got dip) my nails were put into the same container that everyone else's nails have been into instead of placing a small amount of powder into a sanitary, single-use container prior to application. On top of this, he cut me with emery board nail file in numerous places when shaping my nails and I am still in pain from it days later. The experience was unsanitary and painful, and I would not recommend this salon. read more

Honestly, 0/10 experience--and I'll tell y'all why. I didn't book an appointment, so I expected some wait time when walking in. I was with my palm colored friend and they spoke to her and sat her down immediately (which makes sense she had an appointment). Not one employee took the time to look at me, or even acknowledge or take the time to ask if I wanted a service. Many people came in after (also palm colored), and were spoken to. Another girl without an appointment came in and was turned away because of how busy they were, but to be ignored for more than 30 minutes is crazy. Not implying anything, just sharing my experience and decided to not give this business my money. Even if they were too busy to provide any service, I at least expected a conversation. For the employees that assumed that I was just tagging along (despite bringing my wallet) and thought it wasn't necessary to even talk to me, I hope y'all never do it to another customer again. I'm conflicted about this shop. I went in after being recommended by a couple girls whose nails I really liked. This is not my typical shop and when I mentioned that I was trying them out instead of my regular shop they kept insulting the shop I go to and their work. I love my regular nail place and they always do a great job, so this felt really unnecessary and rude. The biggest issue I took here was the customer service. The phone was ringing off the hook and the guy doing the nails of the girl next to me kept pausing doing her nails and answering. I understand you gotta pick up the phone but interrupting her manicure multiple times just doesn't sit great. I definitely felt rushed in and out. With all that being said, the did do a great job on my nails. I still prefer my other location, but I can't say their work was bad. First, the people that were working here were very nice. This review is about their actual services and practices. I wanted a shellac manicure & shellac pedicure. I was shown a price sheet and asked to choose what pedicure I wanted, I chose the $35 Spa Pedicure. There was no sign or mention of additional charges for shellac removal (I had on both fingers & toes). Mid pedicure one of the workers says, "both your pedicure $76"...I honestly thought I heard him wrong, and then thought maybe they were giving me the price for 2 ( I was with someone). My bill for both the manicure and pedicure was $93. Im not sure how everything added up. The total for 2 shellac manis and 2 shellac pedis was $186. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. If my mani and pedi looked amazing I might have a better time accepting paying that much, but they were not even good. (I usually pay $60 for both and no fee for removal at my regular place). The shellac on my fingers wrinkled, and when I pointed it out, I was told it was okay, and then it was painted over with the top coat, -you can still see wrinkles under the topcoat. My cuticles on my fingers and toes were not trimmed, -I had not had a mani or pedi in almost 3 weeks, they needed trimmed. The topcoat on my toes was put on so sloppy that Im still picking it off my cuticles and surrounding edges. read more

I've heard good and bad about this salon, but decided to give it a go. The man and woman that were working there were very nice, but my nails are not. Besides me, there was only one other girl there and yet the lady that did my nails was extremely rushed. I got a full set and she did not size them properly, and they are cut at uneven lengths. The gel top coat she used has clearly gone bad because my French tips have a yellow tone to them. Even though they've only been done for 3 days, it looks like I've had them for 2 weeks due to her not taking the acrylic down to the cuticle. Came here on Friday 4/12 to get a gel manicure. I didn't make an appointment and waited about 10-15 minutes. During this time I was able to choose what colors I wanted. The nail salon itself seemed quite clean, but a bit on the smaller side. Once I was seated I noticed that the worker took tools out of a oven looking box. I assumed that the tools were being disinfected inside. The guy working on my nails was very attentive and we even had a funny conversation. I'm very happy with my pink nails (gel #421) with a gold accent nail (gel #423). I think I may prefer this place over kool nails due to cleanliness. There are definitely less chairs, however I feel that I wasn't being rushed during my visit. My gel nails costed $25 (before tip). My only complaint would be that I wish the nail polish was painted closer to the cuticles, so that my nails don't already look grown out. After reading the reviews I decided to book an appt for 4 girls to have manicures done for our event saturday night. We were looking for some time to kill while the guys would be golfing during the day and thought nails would be a good way to kill time. I am glad I called and made an appointment because this place was TINY! They had 2 pedicure tubs with chairs and 2 manicure desks and they had no where to sit and wait. 2 of the girls sat in the pedicure chairs for their manicures while I sat with the other girl got our nails done. Definitely not what I was expecting, they may of had more chairs in the side room but I couldn't tell. I felt bad but the older lady that works there which I am guessing is the mom was shaking really bad and was having a hard time painting my friends nails. The other lady had to redo them and you could tell that this was not an uncommon thing as she was trying to cover for her. My manicure lastest all of 15 minutes, barely trimmed and scraped my cuticles and rubbed my hands with lotion for like 30 seconds... Meanwhile other ladies were calling on the phone and walking into the store and you could just tell that they were more concerned with turnaround time than the 4 paying customers in the shop. All in all we paid $15 for a manicure which is not too bad and luckily I had the good lady. My nails looked O.K. I give them 2 stars because they were nice and tried to make conversation with you and gave you a small bottle of water. NOTE: CASH OR CHECK ONLY! And the ATM machine in the shop was broken. They put shellac over my dip and didn't even take the previous polish off. They only put one coat of polish on my Mom's nails so the color looks spotty. All of our nails didn't even last a week. I freaking love this salon. I bite my nails and so I have been getting acrylics. They are wonderful and thin. I have gotten both clear tips with polish as well as white tips. She is great at listening to what I want and also helping me to decide what would look nice in my small nails. She is also fantastic at listening to the length I want and making it happen. Sad experience today. We called to make 2 mani-pedi appts. A nice man kindly took our appt for same day. After my feet were almost polish-ready and my daughters feet had turned wrinkly because they were still soaking, a woman on the run came to do the paint job...no base or top coat, so BAM! 2 minutes. And she went back to the woman she was gelling up at another table. The man who'd prepped my feet was working on my girl. Then I realized it was only the two of them! And they'd taken in 2 other girls for full nail sets while we sat there! We paid and left...no time to wait for our manis.
