I used to…read moredo nails and the area and whenever I went on vacation, the only person and I repeat the only person I would trust my clients to go to is to the people at Spirit Springs. It's in a very cute downtown location, and the owner, Sondra, is wonderful. In fact, it has been years since I got my nails done. I always do them myself. Recently I really was having a slump downtime and I wanted to treat myself to getting nails done. But, I wanted a very deep C curved white tip. In the nail industry, this is the hardest, most pain in the ass thing for people to request. However she was happy to do it! She took so long making sure they were perfect. The main reason I wanted to give them a good review is I was shocked that people had left negative reviews. But one thing I learned in the nail industry is that there is always people who want great Nails for very cheap and don't often care about the level of cleanliness and certain salons. This is a place to go if you are a classy woman who wants to get excellent customer service, prices that are comparable to people's time and talent, and know what true, Great Nails are supposed to look like.

She said this is protocol and since you didn't do that I will not be cutting your hair. I did let her know that I would be writing a review on how unfriendly and unprofessional she acted. She said this is her salon and that she would be calling the police on me. If you want to be treated with respect and dignity. I would stay away from this salon.

A deeply painful and hurtful experience -- please care about yourself and read before booking…read more I've waited a few months to write this review because the experience was genuinely traumatic, both physically and emotionally. And to be honest, I hesitated to write this review, especially after seeing how the salon responded to other negative reviews. I was already traumatized by how rude I was treated in this salon and did not want to go through that again. But I'm writing this in the hope that no one else has to go through what I did.I went in for a hair color service on January 18, 2025, that involved bleaching, and what followed was the worst experiences I've ever had at a salon. The process took over six hours, and during that time I repeatedly told the stylist, Michaela, that my scalp was burning and was on pain. She kept saying it was normal and didn't take it seriously. When I got home, I noticed my roots were still wet. My husband looked at my scalp and was shocked -- it was red, inflamed, and covered in hives, many of which had likely popped up during the stylist's rough blow-drying and brushing at the end of the process. The next day, my forehead visibly swelled -- like an egg had formed under the skin. I rushed to quick care, where they diagnosed severe chemical burns on my scalp. I was put on a week of antibiotics and warned to monitor for signs of infection or fever ( Dr's after visit notes are shared in photos). It was truly frightening. I returned to the salon a few days later -- not to argue or cause a scene -- just to share what had happened and ask for a partial refund out of fairness. I wasn't demanding a full refund because I understood she had used product and time. But instead of any compassion or concern, I was met with yelling, legal threat, and complete hostility, even though I remained calm, friendly, and respectful the entire time. I felt cornered and completely dismissed, as though my pain and health didn't matter. The level of rudeness and aggression I was met with was so overwhelming that it left me emotionally exhausted. I did eventually receive a partial refund, but the way I was treated made it feel like I had to fight for something I never should have had to. To make things worse, the color I ended up with wasn't what I asked for -- it was brassy, yellowish-red, and my hair was left dry and damaged. Based on what Michaela explained before the service, the roots were supposed to be 6A (dark ash blonde) and the ends 9A (light ash blonde), but the result was far from that, as you can see in the photo I've shared. I'm sharing this not out of anger, but in the hope that no one else has to experience what I did. If you ever experience burning or pain during a hair service, speak up and don't let it be dismissed. If you choose a salon, make sure they prioritize your safety and well-being. No one should leave a salon experience physically injured, emotionally broken, and then be blamed for speaking up. Please take care of yourselves, and choose salons that treat your safety, concerns, and dignity with the respect they deserve.

A year later, I finally went to this Salon and I was just very pleased with how the male and female (husband/wife) owners of the salon treated me. First, if you ladies are looking for someone to shape your eyebrows, I would highly recommend the wife of the owner, every time I look in the mirror and see the beautiful eyebrows, I think of her. I will definitely go back to Hair and Face Salon to get a facial service with this woman. Secondly, the husband is very kind, he listened even when I didn't know what I wanted with my hair in the beginning. He took his time to ask questions and get the feel for what I like to have done with my hair and color and style. The end result was fabulous, he gave me tip on how to style my hair and what to do to keep it shiny and healthy and to utilize the natural oil on my hair to my advantage. Since he is highly in demand, you may have to book a month in advance to see him. The salon is simple, clean and quaint. The facial room is so relaxing I can fall asleep in there! They serve coffee and tea during your visit. The price is very fair and you definitely get what you paid for and more. This salon is worth looking into and if you can, treat yourself to their salon and spa service.

I arrive a few minutes early as I alway do and a young lady takes me back for my perm. After 2 hours I'm finished and ready to pay but a different young lady said that it will be $125. I said wait a minute, I was to believe it was $71 and she asked if I got that number off the website and I said yes. She told me that information on the website was old and they couldn't correct it. I told her that was not my fault, you posted a certain amount in print and they need to honor that price. I told her that was very close to a 'bait and switch' scheme with is a crime. She asked me if I wanted to speak to a .manager and I said yes. The manager said that was the old price as things have gone up and I said that was not my fault, it is advertised as $71. She said it begins at that price, ( a lie) more hair, more expensive. My hair is a little past my chin not enough to warrant another $54 dollars. Then she tried putting on a guilt trip by asking me 'Don't you think your stylist time is worth the the price? I didn't entertain that question but kept trying to get the conversation back to the price on the website. She began to see I was not going to pay that amount so she said what would you be willing to pay? I couldn't remember for sure that the price quoted on the website didn't say 'starting as' so I told her I would be willing to pay $80 maybe $90 plus a tip for the stylist. She of course took the $90 and a $10 tip. We went back and forth for 20 minutes, something I've never done before. This was wrong!! She lied to my face and tried to make me out as the bad guy when she is cheating and lying. When I got back home and looked again at the website, It did indeed say FULL not starting at. I will never go back there. BEWARE,

Okay I walk in at 4;45 on a Monday afternoon, they close at 7 so it's not even close to when they close and they seem annoyed when I walk in. I stand there for about 5 minutes without being greeted or anything. I finally sit down and the younger woman yells "what do you want". I don't think she's talking to me at first so I don't say anything, she then repeats it louder and now the 2 other people in the salon are looking and I'm embarrassed. She seats me about 15 minutes after I arrive, which I don't mind because there's only 2 workers and already 2 customers getting worked on. I sit down at station one and she is having a conversation with the customer checking out for about 10 more minutes, which I also don't mind because sometimes I get to talking for a long time as-well. She finally starts on my nails about 30 minutes after arriving... She is super super aggressive removing my old nails. Whenever I go to my other salon (they were closed Monday and I wanted to try out a new salon) she always makes sure to ask me if it hurts or not and stops when it does, this lady didn't ask me once. She ripped some of my real nails off because of how fast she was going. She then got out the drill and started using them on my cuticles, which I've experienced before, but she didn't take it off after a few seconds.. she left them running on my cuticles for 30 seconds, and they started to burn. 2 days later my hands have been shaking because they're in so much pain. She asks what design I want and I show her a picture. I double check with her to make sure she can do it, because I had a back-up design just in case. She tells me the design will be an extra $25, which was fine because it had a little more detail (picture below). She then told me after she was done with all my nails but 2, that she couldn't do the 3-D (which is what she charged me for) and asked me to choose something else, and she was just very rude about her tone and the way she was talking. I told her to just go ahead and do white lines to kinda replicate the 3-D, and don't get me wrong my nails turned out fine it's just not what I wanted. After it was done she didn't even ask if I had liked them or if I wanted to change anything she just told me to wash my hands and she stood up and walked away. I went back to wash my hands and came back to pay and I don't realize she still charged me for the 3-D when she couldn't even do it. She didn't say thank you or bye or anything along those lines, she simply said "you're done" and walked back to her station. I would never recommend anybody go here or spend your money, she didn't talk to me at all besides when she told me she couldn't do the design and she was yelling in another language to the older woman that was doing pedicures the whole time. I would recommend Golden Nails if you are looking for a good nail salons.
