I got a pedicure from Hollywood the first week of April 2023. I got an infection in my nail bed the day after the pedicure. I called to notify the workers and they insisted they didn't do it. Well after I got the pedicure and my toe was hurting really bad, I'm 100% sure it was their fault. I had this on going infection for 3 months straight and went on 3 rounds of antibiotics and eventually had to get half my toe nail removed. I have also noticed that during a manicure no tools are cleaned and they do not wash their hands or wear gloves in between clients. Definitely do not recommend. read more

I have an awesome eyebrow lady. She makes me look clean and does a very good job on eyebrows. She wouldn't do them as thin as I wanted them though because she said it could permanently damage my eyebrow shape and honestly, they look good the way she recommended. I went with it, and now she's my permanent eyebrow lady. I've also had a horsehoof of an embedded nail dug out by these guys. I was so glad to get it out and didn't know why i was having pain in my toe. They did a fair job painting but one of my big toes seemed like they cut the nail kind of crooked. It wasn't the most expensive place in town, but they take good care of me. I can't really speak on fingernails because I don't like getting my nails done anymore. I have some nail problems that polish seems to worsen. Anyways, if you're super picky about nail, I don't know about this place. But for me, this place meets my needs. My first time going here and it was a pretty good experience ! The staff were really nice and did a nice job on my nails ! The only thing is the cleanliness , I know they are typically supposed to use new files and sanitized tools on each client, but I did watch my nail technician use the same files and tools as the lady before me and did not clean them at all. However I find it really rare that nail salons do this as often as they should besides Pink Polish in Tacoma . I'm not one to spend my time on the east side of the state, but visiting my sister in Pullman this weekend, we decided to get pedicures as a family. Nail polish selection aside, this salon lays a lot to be desired. The water in the pedicure bath was COLD, not to mention full of blue dye that stains the skin. We only were allowed 5 minutes total in the water (had it been hot, I would've protested, but I was eager to vacate the ice bath) before being given the briefest rub and halfhearted exfoliation. I then had nail polish spilled on my feet, which was never removed even when I asked. Bear in mind, they only take cash or local checks, and charge you to use the in-store ATM. The only redeeming quality: one of the employees, Ky, was a wonderful entertainer, and extremely friendly. If he worked at a better salon, I'd be more than happy to return for his services. Worst experience eve. we called ahead and made an appointment for me and two of my friends. We got there on time and we're then told to sit and they'd be right with us. We waited for an hour and a half before the woman told us to pick a color. After picking a color we waited another 15 minutes and then she called us over. She then proceeded to just do one of the girls in our group at a time. At that point we had almost been there for two hour and she had just started on the one. She did an awful job and my friend actually had to have her take off the design because it was so bad. My friends and I came for a shallac manicure here and it was honestly a mixed review between the both of us. I genuinely felt that the lady that did my manicure was very attentive and did a really thorough job with everything. When I told her I wanted colored tips, she was really patient at helping me pick the color I wanted, and even tried it out on her own nails to show me the colors. I also wanted a silver lining and she was really cool about that too. She took her time and made sure everything was perfect the way I wanted it! My friend also got french tips, but her manicurist was busy running back and forth waxing another client's eyebrows, and she didn't didn't do a good thorough job with the manicure. Her gel wasn't put on well, and wasn't as thick (as mine) so it didn't last as long. Overall, it was okay, it was what I expected from one of the only nail salons in Pullman. It's alright. Not the best of the best but if you live in Pullman and don't have the means to travel far (like to Seattle) to get your nails done, then I guess it's okay. I got a gel manicure on my actual fingernails (no acrylic) but I don't believe they're worth $30-45. I've been here 3-4 times because I don't have the patience to do my own nails and each time, my nails look okay. My big concern is just the price. At least they're nice to me and know how to make great conversations and I do like their gel color selection. But like I said, it's alright. The owners/family is nice. But it's really annoying that they can't keep appointments! I called in the morning, made an appointment for 6pm with Jenny. And I took several measures to make sure I was on time to give her a full hour and so she didn't have to rush. I show up 5:58 and she's just started someone else's nails. It's 6:30 and now someone has "prepped" my nails but I'm just sitting.... This is not the first time this has happened. It's very frustrating when I'm paying a baby sitter for an 1.5 hours while I'm here. And my nails will wind up rushed anyways. Also I've yet to have a fresh set (let alone a fill) not lift after by 10 days. I don't if it's cheap product, or tech application. But in Meridian ID I went 3 week between fills with NO LIFTING AT ALL. So it can be done!!! I'm really disappointed each time when my nails lift or have to remove nails by day 10. With a one year old I can't just drive over to pullman (15-35 minute drive) and get nails fixed. read more

I'd never even been in a salon before and the man was making me extremely uncomfortable. I even told him I did not want to commit to gel nails when I have no experience with this kind of stuff. VERY DISAPPOINTING! I was in the area last weekend and stopped in for a manicure. The woman who did them only said one thing to me in English and that was trying to up-sell me. There was no base coat, she almost missed the 2nd coat on one of my nails and she charged me $20 even though the posted price was $18. She sat me under the blower for 18 minutes, ignoring me the whole time. That evening, 8 1/2 hours later, I washed up a cup, a bowl and two spoons and the polish smooshed around on 3 of the nails. I went back the next day and asked them to remove the polish because it looked awful! A different woman snapped at me that I should have bought a better quality manicure and that they would remove the polish for $5.00. I went next door to Dollar Tree and bought a bottle of remover for a buck and removed it myself. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I have consistently had poor quality work done here: pedicures, leg and brow wax, and gel nails. I kept going because friends insisted this was a good place and I just had a fluke experience; 9 experiences. The pedicures we're always too rough and painful. When I'd say the massage hurt, they'd say, "it's fine, no worry". One guy kept filing the arch of my foot and would laugh when I jumped in pain. I stopped getting pedis here after that. Leg & brow wax done by Jenny was ok, but she's always rude in her comments. Finally, I had 3 different people work on my gel nails. First, a young gal left huge chunks of stuff on cuticle area and under nails, so uncomfortable. Had them fixed, but they were rough and hurt my cuticles. I spent 30 minutes in my car digging stuff out from under front of nail it was so uncomfortable. Lifted by cuticles after 3 days! Back in for a fix in which Jenny said, "it's fine, very normal, no problem, I don't see what need fixed." I persisted that it was catching on clothing and my hair. They finally filed down part of it and glued a part of it. It was not smooth and looked funny. I persovered to try them again 9 days later for a fill. This time a guy worked on them, and he left areas with thin gel and areas with thick. I changed nail places after this and was happy. My final experience, I needed the nails removed and my nail place was busy. Jenny removed them by harshly shoving another nail under the gel and scraping them off my nails. It was seriously painful! It left me feeling like each nail bed was bruised and the surface is rough with areas of very thin natural nail. Within 1 hour my nails started breaking off. Currently, I have 6 nails split about half way down! Painful! Found out from my other nail place that all the pain was unnecessary, could have been soaked off with acetone! I will never return to Hollywood Nails. read more
