I came in with a scheduled appointment. I asked for my acrylic nails to be completely removed & clean up my nails with a a manicure. The lady working on me questioned why I was not getting a fill? It's because I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed and you can not have fake nails for the procedure. I found it rude she thought it was appropriate to question why I wasn't getting more services done To get to my point!! She used a single nail in conjunction with a cuticle cutter to rip my fake nails off after sanding my nails Down with a dirty bit head. NO SOAK OFF!!! She cut one of my cuticles, asked if it was hurting (so she knew the answer was yes) My "manicure" consisted of one single push back on each of my nails with 5 mins of cuticle removal (if that) then she looked at me and said " done" No filing or buffing or anything to make it seem as if I had just left the nail salon. Also overheard my nail tech mock me with another coworker... very upset Charged $25 Tipped $10 which I was not even thanked for So Paid $35 to be unable to use my fingers comfortably for the rest of the evening This happened yesterday and my nails beds are still sore. I did like coming here.. but after I went yesterday, nope NEVER AGAIN.. I got my mustache and eyebrows waxed. I honestly don't do waxing. I haven't done it in years and years but I thought I give it a try again. The lady who did my waxing ripped off way too much skin and acted like it wasn't a big deal. This is the rudest nail salon I have ever been too! the first time I went there the girl was so rude to me, I couldn't understand her so there was a misunderstanding between her and I, I had told her that I wanted a full set and I don't know how she misunderstood that! she gave me a No chip and when I told that's what I wanted she was so upset and rude!! I decided to give them another try and I called to make an appointment for 4 o'clock and the girl said okay 4 o'clock, I asked what u like to take my name down and she said just come in. I had to go with just basic white polish because the polish selection was so horrible. It had very few OPI maybe 2 or 3 Essie nail selection. Just really had cheap polish colors. It was close to my job and I didn't have time this week to go anywhere else so decided to give them a try. I would have to be in a serious crunch to come back here. The only good thing about this place is they took us on time. I came with my sister to get morning pedicures and when trying to pick out a color a man rushed us out of the waiting area and made us pick our color while starting the pedicure. Unfortunately that man did my pedicure. He then proceeded to be very rough and aggressive during the whole pedicure, grabbing and throwing my feet and legs. He was very rude and unprofessional. The whole pedicure was rushed and the final result shows it. He also started the water for my sister's pedicure that was scorching hot. She had to tell him twice to fix it before he even did anything. Her feet are burned from the water. I will never be coming back here. It is not worth the price for such a shit experience and shit paint job. If you decide to come here request anyone except the man. A pedicure is supposed to be relaxing, but instead he made it painful. read more

I went in for a mani-pedi with dip manicure. I asked how long of a wait and was told come on back. Sat with my feet un water for almost 40 minutes. I decided to do the parifin wax, which felt amazing. The polish job looks sub-par. The nail tech talked on the phone while working on my feet. Very unprofessional. She was nice and had conversation, but to have a phone conversation while working with a guest is rude. I went over to get the manicure and did a basic dip with an accent. When I went to check out, I was told a higher amount than told originally. I asked why and was told cuticles weren't included with a manicure....really??? I left and when I got home looked closer at my manicure and two of the nails weren't completely shiny like the rest. I am very disappointed in the service from this salon. I will probably never go back. I get due to the covid-19 salons are making you have appointments to come but this place was ridiculous. My appointment was at 4:30. I didn't get seen till almost 5. I asked for a full set and a pedicure. I started off getting my full-set. The lady asked what shape and at first I said I wanted coffin but I changed my mind. I was alittle pressed for time so I told her just do square shape. She says yea coffin take too long anyway. Well excuse me if I really wanted it. I ignored that comment and continued getting my full set. So she shaped my nails really boxy like and they were u even. I didn't notice until I got home. Very disappointing but any who. The lady asked me what color I wanted and I chose a soft pink. The lady didn't want to paint my nails and insisted that I keep them natural with the gel topcoat. I didn't ask for that and I most definitely didn't want no clear gel top coat. She painted my nails while I was waiting her to start my pedicure. The pedicure was ok. I wish she would have actually clipped my toe nails instead of filling them down. When I got home I ended up clipping them anyway. My nails weren't even two weeks old and they were popping up. I have taken them but it was easy like the lady didn't apply a lot of product. I haven't been to a shop in a good year and now I will never go back to shop. I hated the service. Got a gel fill in on Thursday, January 21, 2016 and on Thursday, January 28, 2016 it looks like I got my nails done six months ago. The gel is lifting, 4 out of 10 nails are chipped and when I went in to complain the staff tried to act like it was my fault that my nails look like I've been mining coal. I have been getting my nails done for 20 years so I know what quality nails look like. This is what happens when you take the cheaper option. I will continue to pay more money at the nail salon in Downtown Chicago instead of these low budget salons in Merrillville, Indiana. You definitely get what you pay for. The worst manicure experience of my life, I left before they were finished. They sat me down at a dirty station that had half empty nail polish bottles all over it. After soaking my current gels the man started picking off my leftover polish USING HIS NAILS. It was so gross!! They told me my last manicure was done poorly and with cheap polish (it was done using OPI in a high end salon in Chicago) because it didn't come off easily... I told the woman this was actually a sign they were done properly, it's a "no-chip" manicure after all. She scoffed at me and went back to watching TV on her laptop. After watching him pick at my nails with his fingers he took the cuticle cutters out of a drawer. Since I had no idea if they were sanitary I asked him not to use them on me, he didn't understand what I was saying and called the sniveling lady back over, she rolled her eyes at me when I said I just don't want him to cut my cuticles. When he put the base coat on he pushed it all the way back to my cuticle beds, which is a sure fire way to get them to chip from the bottom later. He then told me to put my hand under the light to cure for over a minute (again guaranteeing that they will chip because the base coat has been over cured). At this point she started really getting annoyed with me so I told the man to just take them off. At this point the woman who I assumed was a the manager told me it would take them more time to remove one layer of base coat than to just finished the manicure. I told them I no longer want a manicure and asked what I owed her, she snorted back at me "5 dollars." At this point the man straight up walked away and the other woman took the polish off. The three of them started looking at Amazon on the laptop, completely ignoring me as I left. It was the worst customer service I think I have EVER experienced. Between the mean looks they all shot me and the obvious contempt in their voices as they discussed my requests. Horrible!!! Do NOT go here if you value your nails! It looks all modern and nice, and I went in because it was in the same lot as the BMV, but I sooo regret it!! No one was particularly friendly, and with it being empty in there you would think they would have tried to at least sell other services along with the fill that I went in for. The young guy that did my acrylic fill was totally not interested in what he was doing. He didn't ask if I wanted them shortened even though they were obviously too long, and when he did, they weren't even, he wouldn't do the pink and white, just the pink, and he was HORRIBLE with the drill! I now have obvious "rings of fire" on 8 of my nails and now as they have grown out some, you can actually feel the ledge he created in my natural nail bed! And it was $25 for the fill! The WORST job I have *ever* had done on my acrylics and am now scared of getting them fixed. I just moved to the area and am at a loss of where to go because now I actually have real damage!
