My meal came with chicken, and my wife and two kids also got chicken, and it was overcooked for all of us. My father used to have a saying for chicken that was overcooked and dry. He'd call it "milk chicken" because you'd have to take a drink of milk to help you swallow the dry chicken. The chicken from Kochi is definitely milk chicken. The ginger sauce is fantastic. Great flavor and texture. The steak is also overcooked, and requires some hardy teeth and a good drink to get down your throat. The carrots are canned and they're sweet. I don't mind canned carrots, but it's a let down here because it's an odd contrast due to the meat being so hard to eat, but the carrots are mushy. My mouth was like, "What the... Is going on in here!?!" Lastly, the rice. It's fried rice, apparently. Well, it's supposed to be. Though it's also slightly sweet and - get this - has an odd fishiness flavor and smell to it. Ultimately, we paid a bit of money tonight to kochi and now my wife is making something else for dinner, and my two kids are making PB&J's. Me? I sat with a gallon of milk and choked down the meat. So I'm all set. We don't find the need to experiment with an order in the future. This first-time order was all the experience we needed.

My wife and I had each visited Japanese steakhouses like this before we met, but somehow neither of us had been to one during our 18 years together. Then we discovered Noboru! We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned just two weeks later. It isn't overly fancy--it offers the classic Benihana-style experience, with the chef preparing everything directly in front of you--but the food is tender, flavorful, and filling. Of course, you also get dinner and a show! The service was spot-on during both visits. We were always well taken care of, and everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered the larger filet dinner both times and didn't change a thing. When something is that good, why mess with it? My wife ordered the steak and shrimp during our first visit, but she enjoyed my filet so much that she upgraded to the filet and shrimp on our return. Quality cuts of meat, skillful preparation, excellent seasoning, friendly service, and an entertaining experience have made Noboru a new favorite in our restaurant rotation. We thoroughly enjoyed both visits, had no complaints whatsoever, and will absolutely be back very soon. To those about to nosh, we are jealous!

When we arrived, they were not busy and their customer service seemed to be lacking. We were sat down quickly and given menus but the waitress didn't come back to get our order for about 10 minutes. They do have several types of Pho soups, which I really enjoy. My son ordered a Pad Thai. When his arrived it didn't have typical Pad Thai noodles which was a mistake. We brought this to their attention thinking the dish would be remade but it wasn't offered. I had an order of their summer rolls which was good and I also ordered Pho Kay Kho, beef combination which was a spicy Pho. Both meals and the appetizer or plated and presented well. How Pho I had overall was good and I even added extra spice to the soup. Overall, both meals were good, but it didn't really live up to the rave reviews that I had read. The server could have checked on us a couple more times and refreshed our drinks. The interior appeared to be rundown, just a little, but not enough to make me go somewhere else. If I am ever in this area and would like Asian/Thai food, I would probably stop again. I would prefer another couple of my favorite restaurants that serve Pho over Bep-pa's. You'll see the photograph the presentation was nice. The food was good however, there were some customer service issues along with the interior portion of the restaurant could be cleaned up just a little bit more. I would recommend, however there is nothing over the top about Bep-pa's.

Yes, I tipped our Outstanding Server well - Sweet Carrots...nasty and sweeter than Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs (see Calvin and Hobbes if you don't know the reference) Will I come back?
