Nothing soothes you better than a large bowl of pho on a cold rainy day.. If that don't do it. They have sushi and typical Chinese dishes you can pick from.. For a Friday afternoon around 3:30/4pm. This place is jumping. The waitresses were all busy like bees running around assisting the customers. I have about 3 waitresses checking on me.. Which is really nice. I like their Pho Dac Biet. I alway get the medium or large bowl. Yet it seem as though I can't get enough. Tried a sushi roll today. And it touch the spot for my sushi craving. Also wanted some fried tofu, and it was good with the dipping sauce. It's a very laid back type of place. Nothing fancy., Yet it's comforting. Someplace you can sit and eat by yourself and walk away feeling pretty good over all.

Came across this place from google map and decided to try it out and we all pretty happy with our food selection. We had the vermicelli salad, sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken with white rice, fried rice, noodle with grilled salmon, and bun bo hue (spicy beef soup). We also asked for their spicy chili oil and it was home made and have a good taste to it. We really enjoy this place and recommend it to those that traveling to this area.

I came across this restaurant via a Google search for sushi initially but was excited to see pho! I'm new to SC and the only place I knew to go was a spot in Charlotte so I was even more thrilled that this was closer and had great reviews. The food was amazing! I had something like a spring roll appetizer and a small shrimp pho with beef broth. The service was prompt. I was seated quickly and the food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. The ambiance is super chill, it's really cute inside. I was alone but told my boyfriend that we should come here for a date night soon.

This place is great for sushi. I'm hooked on their Rainbow Roll. Great quality fish. The vermicelli is also excellent.

The presentation on the food is consistent and extremely appetizing. Food comes out hot and usually on their red and black designer bowls and plates. If your table orders several sushi rolls they have these decorative platters (some shaped like a wooden boat and some shaped like an ornate disc) that are almost too beautiful to eat. I say "almost" because there is no way anyone could leave a single grain of rice unattended at our table! It's definitely a breath of fresh air from how overcrowded other restaurants in the area can feel. My husband had their sirloin bento and I had the tofu hibachi bowl. The rice was cooked perfectly and we loved how thinly sliced the vegetables were. We will definitely be back!

The staff is great and adds an authentic touch to the atmosphere with the unique headbands they wear The food hits the mark every time. The Crunchy Roll is great, and the heavy crunch layered on top makes it stand out. I also ordered the Atomic Roll, which was perfectly executed. Overall, Konnichiwa offers great food at decent prices, making it a top-tier option for a quick pickup.

Order: steak bento box (dining room), lobster hibachi with rice, salmon with rice, chicken with rice, and Filet mignon with noodles. (grill) The bento box came with shumai, California roll, soup or salad and rice and veggies. I like the addition of the shumai (never been to a place that offered that). Everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was juicy, the veggies were crispy yet soft enough. For my birthday, we had an entertaining hibachi chef, Juan; he was interactive and funny. It was my kids' first time doing hibachi and I loved that he interacted with them and made it enjoyable for them too. I requested for all the food to be cooked with less salt and he understood the assignment. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly! My favorite were the noodles! As a finale, they turned the restaurant into a mini club; playing a birthday mix over the speakers and bringing out a deep fried cheesecake lit with a sparkler. It was a great birthday lunch!

On the first three visits, we had a few sushi rolls split between us on each visit. On our most recent visit, I tried the House Sushi (8 pieces of sushi and 1 roll chosen by the chef). Thumbs up on all points. We have only been on the dining room side and have yet to try the hibachi side though the room appears to be full of laughter and smiles whenever we look in. Fuji is a great local find and I would readily recommend for couples or groups.

Pictured is the Hibachi Chicken & Steak with ginger sauce…read more This was a poor experience overall. My meal came with chicken, and my wife and two kids also got chicken, and it was overcooked for all of us. My father used to have a saying for chicken that was overcooked and dry. He'd call it "milk chicken" because you'd have to take a drink of milk to help you swallow the dry chicken. The chicken from Kochi is definitely milk chicken. The ginger sauce is fantastic. Great flavor and texture. The steak is also overcooked, and requires some hardy teeth and a good drink to get down your throat. The carrots are canned and they're sweet. I don't mind canned carrots, but it's a let down here because it's an odd contrast due to the meat being so hard to eat, but the carrots are mushy. My mouth was like, "What the... Is going on in here!?!" Lastly, the rice. It's fried rice, apparently. Well, it's supposed to be. Though it's also slightly sweet and - get this - has an odd fishiness flavor and smell to it. Ultimately, we paid a bit of money tonight to kochi and now my wife is making something else for dinner, and my two kids are making PB&J's. Me? I sat with a gallon of milk and choked down the meat. So I'm all set. We don't find the need to experiment with an order in the future. This first-time order was all the experience we needed.
