Also, the staff doesn't listen to you at all when you tell them what you want. You have to stop them from scooping up ingredients you didn't even ask for as well as bagging your items when you clearly state you're eating there. This isn't the fist time this has happened. I've had Naf Naf Grill several times in the past, but decided to write a review because the team at the US Bank Plaza were doing an incredible job today. Everything in the bowl tasted amazing, I got the chicken shawarma, with rice, a bunch of veggies, tahini sauce, falafel, and hummus. I usually get a little bit of the chopped salad, purple cabbage, sumac onions, and ask for extra garlic sauce because it is just that good. The consistency is what keeps me coming back. I like chains that I can rely on and Naf Naf definitely has their protocol and standard down pat. I love their basmati rice more than the cilantro lime rice from Chipotle and the fact that Naf Naf has that garlic sauce to top it off so it just makes it even better. Their pita is ok. While visiting Minneapolis for work, I went to Naf Naf Grill not once, but twice, because their falafel pita is the best I've ever had. They are conveniently located via the skyway in the lower level of USB Plaza, right next to Chipotle. And the format is similar to Chipotle, too. You order at the counter, and add ingredients as you move through the line. They are fast and reasonably priced, and well worth the trip. They have a variety of items, such as chicken or steak shawarma, falafel, rice and couscous, bowls or pita sandwiches, and a veggie platter. Everything is made fresh right there, including the mouthwatering pita bread and freshly ground falafel. I like that Naf Naf has options for both meat and non-meat eaters. While I occasionally eat meat, I can never get enough falafel. And like I said, theirs is my favorite. It's crispy, full of flavor, and a perfect combination with their soft homemade pita bread. The toppings are perfect - I add finely chopped cucumbers, pickles, and cabbage to my pita. Their tahini is also made in-house, and it's really good. I'm salivating just thinking about their food. The massive lines this place attracts speak for themselves! This was actually the first freshly baked pita I'd ever had, and I'm never going back! I found a hair in my pickles...a short black one and immediately upon returning to the store the manager asked me to show him the hair (of course I tossed it) and he seemed to have a very stoic look rather than an empathetic tone, as if I were lying. In fact, he said "I don't see it" and I am just like...I would not waste my gas to return here with a full plate of food that I paid for if I was lying about a piece of hair. In fact, I don't want my money back I just want the acknowledgement and a replate. He complied. But, in the future I will not be patronizing a restaurant who does not understand that the customer should not be victimized for a poorly plated meal (and unclean). read more

I have been here on several occasions. The best description I can give is a Middle Eastern version of Chipolte, although I'm sure Naf Naf would not like that. Don't get scared by the Middle Eastern tag, I'm not a big fan of Middle Eastern Food, but the food here is fresh and very tasty. Never had the spicy pickles before, but they are very good. Chicken is delicious and while I'm not a huge fan of hummus, it is also really good. They also have like parsley, tomato, lemon salad, very healthy and great tasting. What I really like is that on almost every occasion, one of the employees asks how everything is, and that goes a long way for a quick-serve restaurant. I just got over the flavor explosion that Naf Naf Grill delivered to me at lunch today. If eating a pita pocket stocked with beef every day is wrong, then I don't want to be right. When I got there at 11:45am, there was a winding line. I was already expecting this thanks to the great reviewers previous to mine. What I didn't expect is how fast the line would actually move. It took under 15mins to get through, which felt like a flash as I was entertained by the Elvis impersonator in the Plaza lobby #hishipsdontlie. I swiftly ordered the steak shawarma pita, packed with hummus, romaine lettuce, marinated onions, red cabbage, pickles, mixed salad, garlic mayo, side of green hot sauce. I made it a combo with a side lentil soup and Sprite for + $2.99. Ok so their housemade pitas? Best I've ever had. Large, soft, and chewy, and cut perfectly to pocket the pile of pleasing toppings (couldn't think of another "p" word). Every single element in my pita was so unique and flavorful, yet all jived together harmoniously. At first, I thought the green hot sauce was just a tad too hot. But then the actual flavor of it was so addicting, that I kept going back for more and got used to the heat. I think there's a lot of cilantro in it? So I'm automatically a sucker for it. I went with the chicken rice bowl and then added all the sauces, hot sauce and light on the toppings with just lettuce. I wanted it to be similar to my favorite craving from Halal Guys in New York. The bowl comes with a freshly baked pita too ( score!) Flavor was pretty good, not as good compared to Halal guys but when I am itching for this kind of dish, it will do. So let me start off by saying my initial impression was underwhelming. Firstly, it was difficult to find the place; the address says that it's on 6th street, but it's inside the US Bank Plaza building, and the street entrance is actually on 2nd ave between 5th & 6th. When I arrived, I ordered a falafel pita, and was informed that they were out of falafel (but would be making more). They were also out of the sumac onions. And when I got to the register, it wasn't working and they couldn't ring in my order. So on the basis of that alone, I would have given this place 2.5-3 stars. But, their customer service skills stepped up the game to 4 stars: they quickly fried up a fresh batch of falafel, chopped and prepped a batch of onions, and when they couldn't get the register working in a timely fashion, they comped the whole order for me. Then, I tried the food, and that's what brings this review to 5 stars. The falafel was perfectly fried, moist, and flavorful, while the various sides and sauces they added to the pita each were excellent in their own right. (Personally, I like my harissa spicier, but I understand this is Minnesota, haha). The "fries" were more like soft potato chips, but they were the perfect compliment to the meal, especially if you add them to the pita sandwich. Oh the Green Sauce was sooo good, its a blend of Jalapenos, garlic, cumin and I'm sure a bunch of other secret ingredients. I called them to tell them when i'd pick it up the next day and got so lost I was an hour late, so Ricardo was thoughtful enough to remake it again before I came in because after an hour sitting it had gotten cold.
