He also explained what he thought was the best option to keep our current system running at it's best, which I chose to do. He re-gassed our unit and added a startup capacitor which seems to have done the trick! The outdoor unit kicks on easily, runs quiet and consistently now. And of course the AC blows ice cold now. He even gave recommendations for future maintenance for not only the AC unit but the boiler as well. I can't recommend Total Comfort Mechanical, and James, enough!

I had an electrical service upgrade at my house about four weeks ago. To this end, my solar system had to be disconnected. Unbeknownst to me, Boston Solar was needed to reconnect the system to preserve product warranty, a very simple procedure. I called them right away to request their service, only to be told I should have let them known way ahead of time that I was going to need their help. Never did they alert me back when they installed my system over 5 years ago that their help would be needed for this. I have since contacted their service department numerous times, to no avail. They don't even have the courtesy return my call to set up an appointment. It's been almost 4 weeks now, and I'm completely in a bind. Customer beware!

First off, the initial consultation and discussion of the possibilities was exactly how every experience should be. There was no pressure whatsoever, and everything was explained clearly. The representative was super knowledgeable, and responded to all questions quickly. I had a quote within a day of the visit, and phone calls/e-mails with questions were answered promptly. From a price perspective, Great Sky was extremely competitive, something that I honestly did not expect based on everything the company offered. Once the contract was signed, GSS did a fantastic job working with me and the banks, Eversource, and MassSave to make the paperwork process a breeze. During the installation, I continued to be impressed by the GSS folks. Everyone showed up on time, were respectful of my property, and cleaned up at the end as if they were never there- Something that is relatively rare when it comes to construction crews. When I unfortunately did run into issues with my PV system (nothing related to anything GSS did), they were just as impressive with assisting in getting a resolution each time. They communicated with the appropriate parties, including equipment manufacturers, and the State reporting agency, and got my system back up quickly. Overall, I have not one bad thing to say about Great Sky, and it is the only company I recommend to friends and family when they tell me they are considered installing solar panels.
