Oh Yelp, you messed up. There have been two, possibly three restaurants in this location with some variation of the name Nacoochee Grill. Yelp has blended them all together even though I did create a new listing for this restaurant. Anything before March 2026 is no longer valid as the restaurant has all new ownership. The fellow who owns Campfire just opened this as a new steakhouse which is a great addition for the area. The location is great, there is plenty of parking but the hill is kinda steep. A good thing to note is the the parking lot has Tesla supercharging that looks like v4 so if you have an adaptor you can change most EVs there for a fee. The restaurant interior is clean and nicely decorated. There is a huge bar there but when we visited they did not yet have a liquor license. We started off with the fried green tomatoes. This is not normally something I like but the creamy sausage gravy was delicious. A good choice! The bacon charcuterie plate was next. The bacon was great, whatever the spicy jam was it was excellent. Also there were assorted fruits and cheeses. I had the ribeye with shrimp, a potato, and broccoli. All of it was just way too salty. The shrimp and meat had I think some good flavor and were appropriately cooked. The broccoli was appropriately cooked as well but was cold. The potato looked and tasted like it was in a warming tray for a while and it only came with a small ration of butter and sour cream. We went during opening week. We will wait a while and try again. I like what they are trying to do here, I hope the execution gets better. read more

We were very excited to get a reservation for dinner here, but unfortunately, the experience fell a bit short. To start, they advertise specialty drinks, but we were told they don't currently have a liquor license, so no alcohol was available. That was a disappointment right off the bat. Ananda was our server, and while she was pleasant, she could benefit from a bit more training and familiarity with the menu. I had been looking forward to trying a good steak, especially since several locals recommended it. I ordered the ribeye cooked medium, and to their credit, it was prepared perfectly. However, the quality of the meat was underwhelming--it was clearly not Prime, more like a Choice cut at best. It also seemed heavily marinated, which felt like an attempt to compensate for the lower grade. The sides didn't help much either. My loaded baked potato arrived cold and was barely "loaded," with just some cheddar cheese and butter on the side. The Caesar salad was actually the highlight of my meal. My wife ordered the trout, which was very good, but overall it wasn't enough to make up for the rest of the experience. I went to Nikah Grill for the fourth time The first three were excellent great meals great service. I went in there over the weekend in order the salmon when I got my food. The first bite I took had a big bone. It stuck me in the roof of my mouth which means I didn't have an appetite for the rest of it. When the waiter came by, he was told about the bone. He said well Fisher bones in them. He may no offer to swap it give me a refund or anything so I paid the bill for two dinners which was about $90 and I will never go back to this place again again I had three good meals. We informed the owner of the issue and they seemed indifferent to the issue. Ordered dinner and waited 45 minutes for it to arrive. We went there for our 56 Anniversary dinner. The Lemon Drop Martinis were terrible! Our dinner entree came before we even had two bites of our salad. We even told our server that we were in no hurry. When she served our entree we were upset and she said "sorry". If she is new she needs more training. That aside - the lukewarm steak was delicious. Obviously we finished our salads first. We were looking for pizza and ended up at the wrong place. After looking at the menu we decided this was a better choice. The wife had onion crusted mahi and I got the pepper corn sirloin steak. I think hers was the better of the two. Both came with greens beans mash potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly but lack flavor. Seemed like it was cooked on the oven. Needed to on a grill or pan cooked with some butter and salt and pepper. The sauce was good but didn't make up for the lack of flavor from the steak. Service started off rocky as we seat there and no one waited on us for a while. I was close to getting up and leaving. Then they finally realized no one was waiting on us and then things improved. Wife and I dined here this evening! First steak we've tried since new ownership. Impressed. She had Beef Filet, I had the Ribeye. She said it was amazing and mine was equal. Very flavorful and delivered to the table HOT, which is a box-checked for me! I added nothing and ate all 16 ounces quicker than I should have! We both had baked sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli. Forgot to mention, we did the shared salad for two up front. Fresh, plenty and homemade dressings. Caesar is option also. SO glad to have this place added to our much-needed- option list in White County! We drank water, just over $100 plus gratuity. We'll be back. Often. My wife and I came here to celebrate our 34th anniversary. We had taken a mountain drive with friends and stayed in the area overnight. I had done some research and reserved a table to bring her to Mully's for dinner. Mully's is a special place. It's a beautiful old house. There is a nice bar to have a drink while you wait for your table (if you have time). The staff is excellent. Very friendly and helpful. And, if you're lucky you'll get to chat with Mully who owns the place. He's a charmer who exudes southern hospitality. On top of it all, the food is absolutely delicious. We started with drinks at the bar. A Negroni for me and champagne for my wife. Then for dinner we shared crab cakes and. Nacoochee salad to start. She had ribs which came with coleslaw baked beans and toast. And I had the seafood pot pie. We also had dessert - apple pie with vanilla ice cream and a bread pudding pie. What a meal!! My and about 20 people had come up to Helen, GA during the weekend of MLK and after hearing good things about Mully's decided to bring the group to come by. We arrived at 4:45 and were immediately sat down for dinner. Logan, our server, was exceptional and caring in his role. Very attentive to details, coming back for clarification and being in the right place at the right time on multiple occasions. While Logan was great with service, couldn't say the same for the food. After doing long hikes that day and only having breakfast, by dinner I was more so just hungry for anything. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and within 15 minutes my order and my table's (four people including myself) was out. I can't say the food was fantastic or anything extraordinary, I was frankly surprised the food came out so quick and didn't taste the warmest. It's great when food comes out quick, but maybe a little more "time in oven" would've served it better. I wouldn't not "recommend" Mully's, but also would say if you're looking for good food that's hot and not lukewarm - look elsewhere first and Mully's is the fallback option. Service by Logan and by Mully himself gives this place three stars, couldn't give it any higher because of food quality and taste. read more

We just randomly pulled into Mully's and decided to go in. We apparently got there early and were able to get seats without a reservation. The service was quick and efficient. Mully's is located in an old house that was quaint and charming.We had the trout, lasagna, ahi tuna, steak and chicken marsala.Our crab cake appetizer was so delicious! So this was my first time visiting this place after being highly recommended. I came on a Friday night and there was a live singer there and everything was dim and cozy feeling inside. The decor and customer service was amazing. Our waiter recommended me the Mahi entree and it was the best thing I had the entire night. It wasn't spicy but very seasoned with that blackening seasoning. I was slightly sad when he mentioned the grits were not from Nora mill across the road. Seemed like a missed opportunity. The crab cakes were full of crab but abit mushy for my taste. The chicken parm was decent tasting. The crème brûlée at the end did make up for the other downfalls and made a perfect end to the meal. Overall a very nice place I will come back and order other things in the menu except the chicken parm and crab cakes. Definitely check this place out it has a few gems to it. read more

So, before heading to this area, I heard a lot about how most places are tourist traps with mediocre food that doesn't really leave you craving more. I didn't have high expectations, but let me tell you, I had a really enjoyable meal at Mully's! One thing that stood out for me was the fantastic service and the friendly staff. They really made us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our visit. They've got a nice variety of seating options at Mully's, both indoors and outdoors. When we were there, they had a guitarist playing some great tunes, adding a lovely atmosphere to the whole experience. Now, I have to admit, the inside of Mully's feels a bit dated. But hey, you know what? It kinda adds to the charm! There's something nostalgic about the place that gives it a unique character and makes it feel cozy. As for the food, I went for the rainbow trout, and it was delicious. The accompanying grits were just spot on. My only gripe was the succotash that came with the dish - it didn't really do it for me. If only they allowed substitutions, because I had a taste of the green beans that came with the tuna, and let me tell you, those were fantastic! I would've gladly swapped the succotash for those. Something to keep in mind: they do charge a bit extra if you're sharing a meal, and the prices are on the higher side. So, I get the feeling that Mully's is more of a special occasion kind of spot. I genuinely enjoyed my visit to Mully's. The combination of tasty food, friendly service, and that charming vibe made it a really worthwhile experience. My wife and I ate there last night. We were looking forward to a great dinner at a great place and had driven a long way, but were very disappointed. The staff and hostess were very friendly, and the service was great, but the food was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! The crab cake appetizers were tasty, but barely even warm, and had a mushy texture. The dinner rolls (they brought two) were frozen Sister Schubert's rolls, which you can buy at the grocery store. The trout was very thin and overcooked, and the side items were very average(grits, and Green beans with carrots). The second entree was Chicken Marsala. The sauce was good, but the chicken was pounded paper-thin and very dry. The edges were so hard you couldn't chew them. The mashed potatoes were ok, but had a strange aftertaste. and the green beans and carrots got smothered with the marsala sauce. We should have sent back every part of the meal, but we try to be nice and polite people. The restaurant was also in poor condition. The sign in front of the restaurant was very faded and old, and the building itself needed some renovation and definitely to be painted. The bathrooms were ok, but could use a good cleaning, and the hot water was turned off in both restrooms. For a supposedly upscale restaurant in a huge tourist town, they need to step up the game. I was reading restaurant reviews saying you don't go to Helen GA for the food. This restaurant was great and by far the best meal we had during our 4 day stay. We ordered the Brie, fried green tomatoes, and dumplings/ potstickers. Brie was tasty but I didn't try the others. Everyone was happy with them though. For dinner I had the salmon and it was good. It came with mashed potatoes and succotash. Both good, 4/5. Nothing knocked my socks off. My fiancé got the lasagne and it was delicious. The garlic bread it came with was 10/10. I really enjoyed the variety of the wine menu, there were a lot of options. Everyone said they liked their dinner, stuffed cabbage and seafood pot pie but nothing groundbreaking. We did not have dessert but heard they were great from a nearby table. read more

Do yourself a favor. If you are in the area (and by area I mean GA, FL, TN or the Carolinas), come enjoy Mully's! My wife and I shared the potstickers, she had the steak tips with mashed potatoes and green beans and I had the shrimp and grits. We even had chocolate pecan pie and peach cobbler for dessert. The music by Kurt Johnston (toured with Bon Jovi) was spot on. Perfect volume with songs from Louie Armstrong to James Taylor to the Beatles. He plays guitar and the piano and has a beautiful voice. If you do not meet Mully while you are there, you didn't really experience Mull's restaurant. He has never met a stranger and makes you feel like a guest in his home from the moment you walk in the door. He trains his staff impeccably. Logan did a great job with us, even offering his personal recommendations. There is a very cute bar and you will end up getting to know everyone there. All in all, Mully's is one of the reasons we come back to this area every year! read more
