This was close to our rooms and not normally what we seek out in Helen, but I'm glad we stopped. Spacious. Lots o' wood. Good selection of beers. Full, but didn't feel packed. It was a Tuesday night, which turned out to be wing night with wings that were a reasonable price. I also went for the fish and chips, which were fair. The wings were quite tasty, and they have a decent variety of sauce flavors to choose from which is a good thing. I also went for the street corn, which was excellent. We were sitting out on the porch, and the weather was good. Noise was kept to a minimum so we were able to talk without having to shout, which I consider to always be a good thing. The food was good, our wait staff were decent, and we were very happy with our experience. If we are in the area again, we would certainly return.

"Oh, I try to stay as far away from karaoke as humanly possible!"…read moreJeremy Jordan Me and you both. I will admit it's mostly because I can't sing, but also because I'm not the only one. But when you're in Helen and bar hopping, you can't help but go in to check it out, and that's exactly what we did. I can't speak for the food, as we were only there for the beer and music, but overall it's a great spot to hang out in this little tourist town. Bartenders were great and the beer was cold. One of the bartenders also took a turn at karaoke, it's great to see people enjoy their jobs, and it made for a fun evening. Will definitely pop back in on our next trip. Karaoke Bartenders

Still waiting on my food as the kitchen can't keep up with our group size (15) ... not sure how they would handle a rush during Oktoberfests or the summer. Update: my food finally came and was bland, also lukewarm, and the only flavor came from the packet of spicy mustard that thankfully was provided. 0/10. They have potential with great location and a good floor plan, but they are failing to do the basics.

We ended up seeking it out b/c we wanted to watch college football. They have solid indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is right by the river. On the indoor side you have a very small bar but plenty of TVs around the establishment. The food is fine but nothing terribly special. But they do have a fair amount of beer on tap. The overall experience is solid. We were able to watch football, eat and drink beer. I suspect I will end up back here the next time I visit Helen. I'd suggest swinging by if you get the chance.

The burger was so dry it could have been made of dust. I ate about half of it, because I'm a man, and that's what we do...maybe it's dry on the outside, maybe the next bite is acceptable...nope not this time. My girlfriend had the Ruben. Tasted like nothing. You'd think you can't mess up a Reuben. Well, I was wrong. Meat tastes like newspaper. Also got some jalapenos poppers. Also gross. I've had frozen ones that are better. Only edible things were the pickle and ranch dressing. It's a shame because the ambience is SICK. The staff seemed to know it was bad. Don't go here

Worst part of my week in Helen…read more I should preface this by stating that I was with my family and that's what we were looking for. If you're looking for beer:30 and bikers, ignore the rest of this review. The food was horrible. Bacon burger was clearly pre-cooked, bacon was thin and right out of a Sysco box. Reuben was DISGUSTING. My young twins shared a chicken fingers meal and the bite I had was really good. Sodas were in cans and were $2 each! For that little slice o' heaven meal I had the privilege of thumping down nearly $40. Smokers are everywhere. Nice view of the river, however. After sitting down and getting to the business of choking down the food, two locals in the early 30s sat next to us, beers in hand, smoking cigarettes, and sporting crappy homemade jailhouse ink then proceeded to drop every F-bomb variation you can think of at the passing tubers. I'm no shrinking violet having been in the Navy, but my kids were clearly right next to me and it was obnoxious. I went to ask them to knock it off but the cook (who was on a smoke break himself) beat me to it. These gents were clearly known quantities. Overall, if you want a lil' mini-Sturgis, this might be the spot for you. If you are looking for a meal, take a pass. If you have kids or appreciate a non-smoking section, take a pass.

It is in an excellent location as it oversees the river but everything else was ok…read more First...They are completely understaffed. We came at 1:30pm on a Thursday, and it took us 30 minutes to get through the line to order. They had one person taking the food order, and the same person taking the drink orders in the separate window. The owner Needs to put some of his profits into hiring someone else during peak hours. Second...it is silly you can't get a cup of water for your kid(s), but you have to buy bottled water instead. Also, I think a$ 3 up-charge for fries is too much in my opinion. Food is what it is - burgers-fries-dogs. I come here yearly, but will not be coming back next time.
