Oh my gosh this woman is rude. Came in for a small alteration and I noticed a stain on my pants that wasn't there before. I asked about it and the woman started yelling at me right in the store! Look I get it things happen but all you need to do is offer to clean it. She started screaming at me that I was a liar and it was one of the most hostile interactions I've ever had. Crazy experience and definitely not how you treat customers, especially a new one! read more

I'm a repeat customer of Nabi's. She does a fantastic job dry cleaning and is always so nice and welcoming

The woman working was easily one of the most nicest people I have ever met in my entire life. She was so genuine, friendly, and just so awesome. We had them clean a suit and a wedding dress which were completed in a timely fashion and were ready on the pick up date provided. Everything turned out great and smelling fresh as can be. Overall, the service was a definitive 5 stars! Price was very reasonable and will absolutely go back to Nabi cleaners again. They have my business moving forward! read more

Cleaned my Canada goose jacket perfectly!! It was a while ago so I forget the exact time frame but I think it was ready the next week. Additionally my partner got his pants hemmed here which were HUGE (thank you men's warehouse!) and it was $70 but he needed them hemmed and tapered AND suspenders added for a wedding. The only thing was that the suspenders were put on the outside instead of the inside. Super reasonably priced! read more

The best! Works magic on your clothes when you have no faith. I have a pet who has ruined some Clothes- chewed holes through things I love. Nabi worked clever magic! She is so friendly and a genius. read more

Got a pair of pants altered exactly as I requested, very friendly will definitely be coming back !! Thank you

the woman i met with was really nice. i dropped off a bag of clothes, and she said i could pay when i picked them up and didn't give me any itemized receipt....i trusted her, and now it's been 2 weeks and i cant get a hold of them or pick up our clothes!!! does anyone know how to contact them?? this place seemed great but now they're MIA, closed, with no working phone number with our clothes...how can we pick them up, please help! **Update** My husband just went to see if they were open and the same woman was there and extremely nice. Their number and hours just changed, so I'd urge them to post that here so no one else gets confused! Also, big thanks to Marquin Salon next door for letting us know the cleaners were open! read more

I always have a good experience here. It's my go-to spot for dry cleaning, and I recently needed a patch sewn on something for a gift (I can't sew at ALL) and it was perfect. I waited until sort of the last minute to take dry cleaning here before a trip, and the owner was so concerned about making sure I got it in time that she called me in the morning as soon as it was ready so I could come pick it up. read more

I have dropped some of my dirty stuff here and I liked the prices are cheap, so I selected this place. The woman there was very nice and polite. And then I read the reviews( I was so much scared to get dirty clothes back or not to get at all. But finally everything was okay and my pants are clean! read more

I dropped two coats off here the other day, and then decided to check the reviews on Yelp when I was waiting for them to be cleaned. I began to worry if they were going to come out alright. The first coat is a red down winter coat. It had been ripped during an unfortunate accident on the "L" where it was snagged on something after being rushed by a man clearly in a hurry :) He let me know by knocking me over as he ran past. Anyway, it needed to be sown up and cleaned. The other coat, a Cashmere blend pea coat that also needed to be cleaned. I am happy to say that both items came back BEAUTIFUL! I hadn't really noticed how dirty they really were until I picked them up. The sewing on the ripped coat was done very well and you honestly can't even tell it was ever ripped. I ended up dropping off a few of my husband's collared shirts afterwards. The lady that helped us both times was very sweet and was very friendly. The price was a little more than my usual place, but it's closer to home so I think I'll be coming back for a while. read more

I used to go here all the time when I lived in the neighborhood, but don't recommend it. On most items they do an ok job on, but I took a dark skirt with white trim here, and it came out all gray and dingy. (I brought the skirt to another cleaners and they were able to fix it right up.) I also brought in a jacket to get the buttons sewed on and the jacket went "missing". It didn't even have to leave the store for cleaning...where did it go???? Granted, she reimbursed me for the cost of the jacket, but it was a pretty unique jacket and I have yet to find one as cute to replace it. read more

Very very rude people here. I called to ask for a price range on scrub pants. The lady rudely then said, "Come in and I let you know price", and then without me saying anything else hung up on me. I asked for a price range not an exact price. This isn't the right way to gain customers lady!!! Plain rude and unhelpful! "0" stars. read more

SCAM ALERT: DO NOT PAY THEM IN CASH This Nabi cleaners stole my money, be careful do not prepay in cash! Here is the scam, they gave me a ticket but not a receipt then when I came to pickup my items they denied that I paid by saying they didnt hand write "paid" on the ticket. Very sneaky, very messed up, I created a yelp account just to report this terrible cleaners! read more

When I lived on Oakley near North Avenue, I used to walk to Nabi. This used to be a great place, with great cleaning, and great alterations. A high level of quality is not to be expected here. The value and quality of craft has deteriorated. The proprietor moved back to Korea and has taken her reputation and expertise with her. I have taken items here that were repaired in places that did not require it, while leaving those portions needing repair, well, untouched. The alterations are overpriced and, frankly, shoddily done. I can no longer in good conscience take items to this shop. This is a shame. Much like other outfits in Chicago, this place had a good run but is no longer worth my money. : ( read more

Went to Nabi Cleaners and the lady who works here is so nice and friendly! She cleaned 2 of my winter coats as well as my jumpsuit and all turned out great. The price is very reasonable - definitely recommend! Overall great experience read more

I was frankly surprised to find negative reviews on this shop! I purchased a true vintage dress circa 1950 for my rehearsal brunch and, true to vintage form, it had some stains and off coloration that needed work before I could wear it out. I live in the neighborhood and chose Nabi because it was close to home and it was clear they offered bridal services. The woman who helped me was very nice and took several minutes to mark all the areas of the dress that required special attention. I picked it up a couple days later, paid an extremely reasonable price for the cleaning of a difficult fabric with serious embroidery, and the dress was like new. I couldn't be happier with the result and will definitely be back for all my dry-cleaning needs. read more

I've been coming here for two years, almost every week. Friendly, reliable service, affordable

Okay- I've only ever been disappointed by cleaners- but these guys are great- the shirts and suits come out great and on TIME! She even opened up for me once even though I came in after closing time! And honestly- the owner Mi- she is so kind and sweet- always has something nice to say and compliment me on. I know going to the cleaners is a chore but she manages to make me smile every time! Which is not needed but is definately a PLUS in my book! read more

THE WORST PLACE EVER. I've been coming here for about 7+ years. I believe they recently had changed owners, because it's been a new Chinese lady working there this year. Anyway, my issue was I had brought a coat for them to change the zipper, and when I got it back the zipper were never fixed. Then I brought the coat back for them to fix it again, and guess what - it was not fixed. So this was my 3rd time bringing it back for them to change the zipper. I explained it and even mimic it so she knew exactly what it needed to be done, even though saying changing/fixing the zipper is very well explanatory. Anyhow, I went to get the coat today and she was charging me $35 for it which I already had paid for the 1st time and the inconvenience of having to bring it back and such. She then said, you told us to fix the zipper, changing the zipper is more expensive. I was like WHAT??? Then asked for at leas $20. I finally gave it to her and walked away. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS CLEANERS. read more

They always do a good job on making my clothes looking good and smell good! The tailoring was great, and not too expensive. For the up-and-coming neighborhood this place is just right. read more

I have been going to this cleaners for about three months now, and I really like the place. The woman working there (whom I assume is the owner) is so friendly and sweet. She remembers all of her customers and insists on helping you carry your clothes to the door or car. While it's not the cheapest place I've been too, the prices are reasonable and the turnaround time is average. My clothes always seem fresh and crisp. Only once was she not able to get a spot out of a silk blouse, but silk it tough so I wasn't surprised. Overall, I really enjoy Nabi! read more

Zero stars. I have used this cleaner for years and no longer will. Everyone that comes in here drops a bag of clothes off and leaves. I had a dress altered and left a bag of clothing to be cleaned. The owner threw away over $400 worth of lingerie because she thought it was "trash" rather than calling or returning it to me. She would not give me a refund for the items they threw away. read more

Horrible really bad service. I had heard bad rumors before, but I just needed a hem on a dress, with no specific time frame, no big deal. Bad Idea. I have gone in 3 times in a month, and they cannot FIND my dress. The lady that works in the day, does not speak English very well and has to call her daughter every time to translate. I am beyond upset. Where is my dress, is someone out there wearing it... Like in Seinfeld? read more

Highly recommend this place to anybody who needs simple alterations and dry cleaning. They are friendly and the turn around are always on time. read more

My regular place. Good work, nice folks, reasonable rates. Tailoring done well.

The owner is super nice and always remembers my name and I don't go there that often. They always get my hemming done quickly and correctly. The bf has gotten a suit cleaned/pressed there and it came out well. read more

this place is great! I've been going to this place for years and even with the change in ownership, they still take pride in excellence and have great tailoring too. The prices around the neighborhood is nearly the same yet they do a better job than most. being a person that has to have most of my pants tailored and tried many cleaners around the neighborhood. I recommend this place for anyone especially people who need to get their clothes back the same day or the next day. read more

Why yes, flattery will get you everywhere with me. As most bridesmaids know if you don't get the correct alterations to your dress you are in for one hell of a long, rough and uncomfortable day of "fixing yourself". Not to mention that a really poor fit means you look like jabba the hutt in every photo taken and those pictures are going to be around forever. Let me stress F-O-R-E-V-E-R. I had never been a bridesmaid before so decided to wait three days before the wedding to get my alterations done. The bride was super stoked about this by the way. I took a chance on my local cleaners, Nabi and let me tell you how awesome they are. SUPER AWESOME!!!! (note the extra exclamation points) The reassured me that everything would be fine, told me I looked beautiful in the dress, even gave compliments to the bride's choice of dress. These all very well could have been lies because let's face it no one likes a bridesmaid dress. Still I ate it all up. Plus, not only was the dress finished in more than enough time the dress looked bangin' on me. The very wise older man doing the fitting must have noticed my "abundance" up top and made appropriate changes to the dress. My fabulous bosom was well concealed and not too distracting for the groom. It was very reasonably priced too. So Nabi cleaners I will see you again soon. Thank you and the bride thanks you too. read more

Love, love, love this place! I've been coming here since 2007 and have ways found the service to be fantastic! I am always skeptical of trying a new dry cleaner, but with Nabi, there is no need to be nervous. They do a wonderful job with dry cleaning and minor alterations (all I've had done are pant hems). They've never lost anything, it's always back on time, no lost or broken buttons, great with stain removal. What more can I ask for? Customer service. And their's is top notch. The woman who works there remembers everyone's name and is always so sweet and happy to see you. I highly recommend Nabi Cleaners. read more

Wow - are we talking about the same place?!!! Yikes! I just moved into the neighborhood this spring and the closest coin laundromat is Sudz on Ashland so I thought I'd give Nabi wash and fold a whirl first. BIG MISTAKE!! The first time, they washed my new white towels with a black towel and made them all gray and took no responsibility. It was a small load and the rest was adequate, so I decided everyone makes a mistake once in a while, and I'd give them another try. The second time, It was a 3 day turnaround, and when I got the large load home, every shirt, every pair of jeans, everything - smelled like mold and mildew. No amount of fabreeze even budged it. And all of my t shirts were not only mold smelling but so small they are unwearable because they dried them too long. My underwear had fuzz balls stuck all over and the everything was wrinkled bc. it was put in the bag damp appharently. It was a joke! And expensive!I had one dry cleaned skirt, they did a great job on. Otherwise, I am seriously having to replace all my tshirts - the smell will not come out. I am furious. Stick to dry cleaning Nabi! read more
