Naan stop is an excellent lunch stop for vegetarians, meat lovers, and those who want an introduction to Indian food. I ordered a rice bowl, Tikki Marsala, naan and a samosa. I wanted to ensure I got a feel for the broad range of their menu. The flavors were excellent and really came through. Good pricing there, and the samosa is pretty large. The chutneys lacked some spice, and were somewhat of a hybrid between north and south indian chutneys. The channa didn't look apetizing, or else I would've gotten a chaat. The lassi is a good size for the $3 price tag, and the prices seem fair for what you are getting. I ordered through Grubhub, after almost 45 minutes I called and was informed that my order was ready but they were waiting on a driver. Another downtown lunch spot, NaanStop doesn't disappoint. This place is basically an Indian rip-off of chipotle. From the menu display to the options, it will definitely remind you of the king of burrito chains. Naan is no tortilla, however. Your delicious ingredients and chutneys will not be as well contained as in a real burrito. Be advised you're about to get yourself into a hot mess. That said, it's an overall delightful and customizable experience due to the variety of proteins and sauces. The food isn't bad and it's something different if you want 'fast food' without going to a burger joint. This is the Chipotle or Taco Bell of Indian food. It is NOT authentic Indian so don't expect it to taste like your fave Indian restaurant and you will not be disappointed. I think this is what they were aiming for with the limited menu and serving pans on a steam table. It's an easy order-at-the-counter setup with the option of having a salad, bowl, or naanwhich (like sandwich, funny :-). There's a choice of three or four protein options then you choose your toppings and a sauce. I ordered a chicken tikka masala bowl. This is one of my top three all time fave foods but it missed the mark here. I didn't even eat half. The flavor of cinnamon is overpowering and there is not even a hint of spiciness. I also had a samosa and a side of garlic naan. The samosa is good except for the abundance of whole cilantro leaves throughout. Both mine and my friend's naan was burnt in many spots. The sweet apple tamarind sauce is really good for dipping the non-burnt parts of the garlic naan. I gave them three stars because for what it is, it's not bad. But the burnt naan was a bummer and there was way too much cinnamon dumped into the tikka masala. I wouldn't go back but I wouldn't discourage others from trying it either because maybe we just visited on an off day for them. read more

After my meal, my stomach was surely full but not necessarily satisfied. Although I am no expert in Indian cuisine, my chickpea naanwich with onions, spinach, peppers, and the apple & spicy chutneys seemed rather bland & spice-less in comparison to other Atlanta Indian restaurants. I know they are more Westernized in marketing & branding on purpose so I guess I can't hold that against them. The mango lassi was a delight as were the workers & the funky 70s music they played. Stopped by this place for lunch after searching for vegetarian food. I love Indian food so I was really looking forward to eating here. However, it was a bit disappointing. The good: Lots of veggie options (vegan & vegetarian). The veggie options are easy to spot on the menu (green labels). Service was very fast. The samosa was yummy (although a bit too greasy for my liking). Low priced, very affordable! The bad: The food was way too bland. I ordered a Naanwich with garlic naan, punjabi dal (lentils), brown rice, grilled peppers/onions, and baby spinach. You couldn't even taste the garlic in the naan. And the dal and rice didn't taste like it had any spices in it at all. I had the spicy sauce on the side. It added flavor but beware it is very spicy. I also tried the apple chutney, mild sauce, but once again, bland. It was edible and filling which is a plus. However, I have had Indian food from a variety of places and the thing that makes Indian food so yummy is its spices and aromatics. This place totally missed the mark in that aspect. Easy, tasty Indian food - great service NaanStop is essentially Chipotle for Indian food. Pick your Base (I got a naanwich), protein (turkey kabob for me), chutney (I picked the "cool" yogurt and cilantro) and watch it all get put together on a line in front of you. I also picked up a samosa and mango lassi, which were probably my two favorite parts of the meal! Service was quite slow, but I went with a group of 14, so that's definitely forgivable. The two guys working were very friendly and even brought me out my samosa when it was made and bused our tables when we had finished. My naanwich (get it? naan sandwich) was a nice mix of ingredients and the fresh naan was a big plus. My meal made me want to try all the other options on the menu. Stopped by here after reading some Yelp reviews and was somewhat skeptical to start. There's nothing fancy about this place, it's a bland-looking fast-food-ish type place downtown, doesn't even look like anything authentic regarding Indian food (not the staff or the menu or the decor) - but the food is very good and extremely good value! The staff is friendly, service is good, not fake "I just took a hospitality course on customer service" - more genuine, down-to-earth and friendly. The menu is very simple, which is nice. Some Indian restaurants can have long, unnecessarily confusing menus with dozens of items in each section. Naanstop has it simple, which works well for fast-food and is great from a customer experience aspect and getting a quick, great meal. One thing I liked was that the Naan is made-to-order. They go from the dough, hand-rolled flat and to the oven while you wait. It's over in a minute and the freshness of the naan makes for a great meal. I had the tikka masala (chicken) with yogurt-cilantro dressing - it was a real treat and for $6 the value is simply outstanding. I'd definitely go back. I would certainly recommend this place if you're looking for an inexpensive, fast, excellent Indian meal. Sub par Indian. The chutneys were great, but the Naanwich execution was far from edible. After the fresh naan is slathered in oils, your toppings + sauces are dumped on and wrapped up. What you open is a soupy, soggy mess. You can't hold like a burrito. I ended up throwing it in a bowl. I also tried the samosas and masala fries. The samosa was good, but unfortunately was not fresh and was entirely too oily to eat. The masala fries were also not fresh or crispy and when the masala sauce was added they became soggy and unmanageable with fingers. Maybe a masala powder would be better? We ordered catering for our office and it was a huge success. People loved having something different to eat that was tasty, warm and delicious. We catered for about 60 people and everything came in on time and warm. I would say the chicken was a little more spicy than expected, make sure to clarify what level of spicy you want.
