Hands down the BEST nail salon in north county. I've been a regular here for almost 1.5 years. They are kind, clean, quick and professional with prices you cannot beat. Trust me, I've been to many salons in the area. Every time Linda does my nails they are perfect. John, Ben and the rest of staff are wonderful too. Their waxer (I can't remember her name) is VERY good and the only person I trust with my brows. Thank you NC for making me look good!

Formerly went to a nail salon near LA Fitness which was well ventilated. It closed down. N.C. Nails, even with the front and back doors open, smells toxic. Today, the front door was shut when I arrived. I felt like leaving but asked if I could open the front door instead. After picking my color, and getting my nails painted, I asked for the name of the color. The manicurist could not tell me, but the woman next to me helped, then the manicurist helped take a picture. When I returned home, I looked up the color. It is completely different. I don't know how the wrong color nail polish ended up in the bottle. It seems strange. What else did I overlook? I only go to nail salons a few times a year due to the toxic smell, health risks, and time waste-so I don't have a trained eye. To me, N.C. Nails does a good job. We've been coming here once a month for a year and sadly, their service is declining. I used to go here because they gave the best foot massages and their pedicures were quality! But that is all past tense... Recently, the past 3-4 times I've come, the massages have been WEAK, even after specifically asking for a firm massage. We always make an appointment. On several occasions they don't have enough seats/employees and we've had to wait 30 mins to an hour! Sometimes they'll sit you in a chair just to make you feel like they're running on time... but someone won't start working on your nails for 30+ mins. What's the point of making an appointment if you're going to just take clients first come first serve or if you're constantly over booking? I've also noticed that they're not fully covering my nail edges. When you look close up, they're completely missing the sides. I think I have to find a new place... read more

A few weeks ago John did my nails. He was very nice and did a perfect job and great to talk to. I had to get them done outside but there was coverings for shade and they were very accommodating and patient with me. I am picky. I usually love this salon but so disappointed today. called ahead for appointments. arrived on time they rushed my daughter and I through. she asked for a bow on her nails and they forgot. I was supposed to get a manicure and pedicure. after my manicure they moved me to another chair and forgot about me. dis put me in a good mood before the holiday. read more

Today was my first time going to N.C Nails with my daughter for a pedicure and manicure and wont be the last! I was super pleased with how good of job that they did and how friendly how everyone is. I really appreciate John , Linda and Natalie. John did my daughters nails and Linda did mine and Natalie my pedicure. Natalie removed my calluses and gave me a great massage. Amy did an amazing job, took her time and made sure my nails were perfect! I've been getting dip powder since my nails are so brittle, but I have never had such a thorough job done on them. For those of you that get dip, you know it can get pretty thick if they cake it on too much. She did an excellent job at making my nails look natural without me even asking! We got pedis and I also got a full acrylic set. The prices were raisonnable and I love what they did. i was so please with John's work on my hands that I decided to come back 4 weeks later to get a refill. I visited this nail salon for the first time yesterday! I was excited to try it out because it's right by my work! I made an appointment for a pedicure and a full set of acrylics. My pedicure was great but after leaving I realized even after curing it with the UV light and waiting for an extra hour because I was getting my nails done there was a sticky wet coat on the top that did not dry. I also got a full set of acrylics - I asked for long square and got more of an oval shape and lots of uneven nails and crooked nails. I am very unhappy with my results. If I was not in a hurry I would have asked to get them fixed. I was there from 2:30-4:45ish! Everyone there was extremely nice, but I was not satisfied with the nails I received. read more

Best little salon in Enc, most reasonable prices for gel nails & also waxing. Call ahead re timing bc they can get busy (good for them). Small place, no frills, but clean & efficient - I once had a gel nail fill & gel pedicure here in just under an hr. :) Expect food channel tv to be playing, haha. read more

John is the best! I love this place. They're open later than most nail salons, and they will always try and accommodate you to the very best of their ability. John is takes time to make sure he is meeting his customer's expectations. People can be overwhelmingly needy and high maintenance (especially with their acrylics). He is one of the few pro ombré nail gods in this town. Prices are very fair, and I always leave extremely satisfied. Thank you NC nails! I never heard of this salon but while dialing through numbers, this was one of the few in the area that was open during this pandemic with same day availability. It doesn't look like much, but I was thrilled anyway, just to give my neglected nails some love. To my surprise, this place turned out to be amazing! Such wonderful, friendly service and attention to detail. They did an incredible job of improvising with the outdoor setting. The owner was extra attentive to make sure everyone was comfortable and that the sun wasn't bothering anyone, including the employees. That says a lot to me. Not only this but they did an amazing job on my nails and I have to say hands down best hand/foot massage ever. 5 stars read more

Horrible full set. The lady put the tips so close to the edge of my nail that the next day I had a broken nail. Went to get if fix and 4 days later I had another broken nail. I had such an amazing experience at this nail salon. I made appointments for mani pedis for me and 3 friends and we all were super happy with the service. It's really amazing quality and service for the low price. We didn't feel rushed in and out at all which can happen at a lot of nail salons. The employees were all super friendly and attentive. She said she would still honor the deal but kept repeating it's so much work and would take hours and that Groupon was supposed to take the ad down. It felt like she wanted me to offer to pay more, but I just said it sounds like she doesn't want to do it so I can go elsewhere and she said she would prefer that. I think turning someone away in that way was unprofessional and it made me really uncomfortable that she kept telling me how much work it is. I came here a few times before, and I usually have Nancy take care of my nails, and I always have great experience. But today was a whole other level of experience. I took my friend to treat her to her birthday. Before we get sitted. I went to their restroom, and when I came out, I saw a huge mouse under their lunch table, biting on a used buffer. There were 3 small silver trash bins, one was a bit open, and I saw many used files and buffers in there. I am hoping they are not reusing those ones on their customers. So gross and unsanitary!! I will not be back!!! The tech worked on my nails was Lili or Lily. She was awful. She not only cut me in a few places, she painted all over my skin. She did a pinching motion to massage me, and oh boy, it hurts!!! My friend also had a bad experience with her technician. Her lady rushed through her pedicure so fast and went to the next customer. I think her pedicure lasted about 14-16 mins. We can't relax because the other technicians in the salon were speaking loudly and laughing at something. It was a hectic, disappointing experience. Mouse, reused files/buffers and got cut. I came home and removed my polish from today because it was uneven and all over my skin. read more

I wish I could give Yan 10 stars! First of all, she's an artist. She is also such a professional expert and has such an incredible understanding of nail aesthetics. We spoke about the three components of applying false nails- the application of the acrylic/gel, the nail filing/shaping, and the final step- colored polish. She absolutely aced every step! She is my favorite nail tech that I've ever been serviced by over the years. She's also such a sweetheart and very friendly. I've been here a few times, but I'd especially recommend her to anyone who's interested in getting their nails done. She's always improving and working on her game, and -that growth mindset will take her far in the industry. overall- I was very impressed by her knowledge and immaculate execution. She's well rounded and I'll be visiting her for ALL of my nail needs. who cares about the facility when the service by Yan is worth so much more than she charges?? The prices are very reasonable and budget friendly. -what I asked for: a natural nail shape and a color matching my skin tone -what I recieved: a natural nail shape tailored to my fingers + hand shape, and a color perfectly tailored to my undertone. read more

First and foremost, the owner here is rude and obnoxious! Natalie or Kim messed up our appointment every time! Stop answering the phone if you can't take down the appointment properly!!! We sometimes waited 30 minutes or more because she didn't write or forgot whose appointment to take down. Her husband John also messed up our appointment many times. He would ask us to wait for 5 mins, then another 5 mins, ended up to be 30 minutes to 45mins. Sad to realize we will never come back! They really need to hire a cleaner or do a deep cleaning before and after the salon open. It's super dirty!!! The spa chairs are full of dusty and powdery from the fake nails they drill, and the spa chairs jet are disgusting with broken parts that cut my wife feet. Most of the staff are rude and seem to bad mouth the guests, except the young lady who speaks English very well and only works on the weekends, wish we got her name. She has only been working there for a short time. She did an amazing job on my wife pedicure, gel manicure, and facial. Thank you for making our last visit so relaxed and lovely!!! read more

I took my mom and sister in law here for our birthday celebration. Amy did my gel manicure and pedicure. And I can't remember the other two ladies who worked on my sister in law and my mom. My sister is half Vietnamese, half Indian. Amy was speaking Vietnamese the whole time we were there with her colleagues. Laughing and having a food time, I was actually happy to see how happy they were at work. After we left is when I found out she was making fun of an elderly customer in the salon. From what my sister in law said, they were all talking so much shit about the elderly customer. Things I will not want to repeat on here. However, my family, friends, and I will never support this business!!! And we will never be back!!!! Shame on them for making fun of customers!!! What is so funny about hurting someone else!!! I just moved to North County and have been in search for a new nail salon. After a few disappointing trials at other nail salons I am happy to say I finally found my go to place! For me customer service is such a big factor in determining my loyalty to an establishment. Here at NC nails I was greeted immediately and offered a cup of coffee(Keurig yay) and given the newest issue of "people". Another plus was the selection of colors and variety of brands. I am partial to OPI or Orly which they had both. Very clean and they played pandora in the background. The owner(I am assuming he was the owner) was present and very friendly. You could tell he takes pride in his establishment. A basic pedi will run you $19 while a gel mani will run you $25. Super reasonable! read more

My husband is in the military so i have moved quite a bit in the past 5 years and i have to say this salon is in the top 3 ive ever been to. I walked in on a saturday with hopes of getting a mani-pedi at any point that day and the manager, Yen, while working, shuffled her day just enough to fit me in 10 minutes after walking in the door. I thought she had rescheduled another client to fit me in, which is understandable, but it ends up she didnt take her lunch in order to take care of me. On top of that, she did a great job and left me with complimentary cuticle oil out of her pocket to upkeep my brittle nails. I cant say enough good things about this salon. I will never go anywhere else as long as im in san diego. read more

I came for the first time on Saturday to NC's Nails to get a pedicure/ manicure. The pedi/mani was OK, not that great. However, I discovered a diamond in this place, Nancy!!! She did my facial, omgoodness what a gift!!! She was so knowledgeable and so great to talk to. She also lifted and tinted my eyelashes. She was honest about the Lash extension process and maintaining, which I appreciate so very much. She explained carefully about all the options I have to choose from, the pros and cons of each service. She's so helpful, knowledgeable, passionate, and kind from the beginning. I called and made an appointment to see Nancy. The owner said she was there, but when I arrived, Nancy wasn't there. They insisted someone else can wax for me. I was a bit skeptical, but since I am already there, I will give it a try. Omgoodness, it was a mistake!!! The tech burned one of my brows and part of my lip. She kept apologizing, I asked her if I could see her esthetician license. She refused to show me her license and walked away. I told someone working at the front desk of my experience, and they kept speaking to one another without acknowledging my concerns. I paid and left without wanting to be there any longer. The service here was awful!!! They spoke in Vietnamese to poke fun at the clients. I am a business owner and value and worship my clients. And yet, the people here are mean and rude!!! My techs were Ckin (chin) and Linda. They were spoken harshly at one of client before me. They were laughing and poking fun at the client weight. Awful place to come!!! It's beyond dirty. There are bugs/roaches crawling in the restroom and on the walkway. They have some small trash can labeled "trash," but those trash can contain reused files/buffers and toes separators. I can't believe I have been going here for the last two years. No, thank you!!!! I was here over the weekend with my girlfriends, I had an awful pedicure from one of their tech. She cut me and didn't even acknowledge or clean it properly for me. I was still bleeding when I got home. However, my friend had Nancy, and she said it was one of the best pedicures she had. So, not everyone here is bad.
