They took us to our table, and wow, the interior was so beautiful! We went for their 5-7 happy hour and it was great value, everything was so much cheaper than the regular menu. What we ordered: Dips selection: 8/10, loved the variety and the different types of breads/crackers to eat it with. Our favourite was the taramasalata Halloumi souvlaki: 10/10, the best bite of the night. After ordering the first dish, we went ahead and ordered another one because it was just that good! The honey was the perfect touch & it has the perfect amount of truffle taste. Our server advised us to eat it right away, and he was right because with the second order we made the mistake of waiting and there was big difference in taste and texture. Calamari: 7.5/10, great calamari, portion was a bit small Filet mignon Kebab: 7/10, meat was tender and the yogurt sauce was delicious but the portion was a bit small for the price. They kindly gave our group a birthday dessert with sparklers as it was 2 girls' birthday. The menu is a bit pricey, but you are paying for the ambiance and food quality. Myth exceeded expectations. We came for a birthday after hearing great things about the food and mixed reviews on service. Both the food and service delivered--especially the latter, which was among the best we've experienced in Toronto. The space is stunning--calm, refined, with a beautifully designed patio. We ordered the Symposium set menu: generous, well-paced, and full of flavour. Standouts were the lamb, beef carpaccio, halloumi, and surprisingly, the roasted potatoes. Dessert was a strong finish. The interior design of the restaurant and bar area is truly beautiful and it's a nice place for a date or friends gathering. We made a reservation for a Friday dinner and the place was packed. There were literally no available tables. They have a 2-hour seating limit policy and since our food took longer to get prepared, we were asked to move to the bar, which had a nice view. We chose "Myth Experience Menu" which included 11 different options spread across 3 main courses, plus 2 dessert options for $100, which was a great price. I love all Mediterranean food, so I came to Myth to celebrate my birthday on a Sunday night. There was a a nice crowd, with several different celebrations taking place, but the restaurant was not overly crowded. Upon reviewing the menu, it was a pleasant surprise to find they had a pre fixed Sunday dinner option available, which was perfect for me! It was $65 a person for several courses to share family style. The service was great and the vibe was just right. Between the music and the stunning decor in the place, I was very impressed (there were some nice areas for photo ops as well). I also appreciated how the meal was paced out. I didn't feel rushed to scoff things down and hurry to leave. My favorite food of the night was the Greek salad and the roasted potatoes. The chicken entree was cooked perfectly, but flavor profile was a little lacking. The spanakopita was very heavy on the spinach, which I did not prefer. This is the first time since visiting Greece that I felt like a place not in Greece for the vibe right. I mean this place was jumping and in Greece they party. Service was great. Myth Restaurant impressed us from the moment we walked in. The interior is beautiful - thoughtfully designed without feeling overdone - and the service was genuinely attentive throughout the evening. Myth's mezze platter ($35) consists of a collection of dishes, and I love that it showcases some lesser-known dips. Of course, there's the popular hummus, which was thick and filling, but the mezze also featured a silky smooth taramasalata that has an umami saltiness to it from the cured roe. Warning to vegetarians, if I hadn't been told there was fish in the dip, I would have never known. The roe adds a brininess to the dip without any fishiness. If you enjoy feta, try the tirokafteri dip that uses the cheese as the base but has a hit of peppers that creates an unexpected spiciness. It goes great with the soft warm pita or smeared onto the crudite given it had such a flavourful salty kick. While a bit cheesy (pun intended), the cheer of "opa!" before setting the ouzo on fire is what makes saganaki ($22) such a staple. The kefalograviera cheese was oh so gooey, salty, and lightened with just a hint of lemon. I just wished there was more than one piece of toasted bread to go with it. It's not everyday you find raw fish at a Greek restaurant. Myth uses slices of yellowtail hamachi in the magiatiko ($28) adorned with an olive tapenade that was too overpowering. If anything, the dollop of creamy taramasalata (the same fish roe dip featured in the mezze) was more than salty enough. Still, it was beautifully plated and a great light starter. The arancini was good... less creamy than an Italian version, but also didn't leave me feeling as full. It was smartly paired with a feta mousse, which added a touch of sauciness to the risotto but didn't detract from the crunchy crust. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the beetroot carpaccio, so much so that I'd prefer it to the beef counterpart. The sweet thinly slice beets were enhanced with tangy yogurt and a yellow beet mousse. Because there were so many creamy ingredients, the roasted pecans worked nicely to add a contrasting texture. The food was amazing, I'm normally not a fan of Greek food but I thought everything was seasoned and tasted so good. The drinks did not disappoint. Someone at the table ordered a specialty cocktail and it came with a cute fortune! The area and the food itself are very photo worthy. The service was great and the waiters were very helpful when it came to recommendations on the menu. Although the plates are meant to be shared, it can get very pricey! At the time of going, two skewers were $25! They also only take one form of payment. I had the opportunity to visit this much discussed place for a corporate event. We had a set menu that did include a few of their more popular regular dishes - overall, the food was satisfactory, but not extraordinary. The meze platter and spanakopita were flavourful and delicious, but the horiatiki salad, drenched in oil and still managing to be rather bland, was less so. The steak received mixed reviews as apparently it was almost raw at one of our tables. The drinks were a delightful addition to the meal - lots of creativity in their cocktails menu! - but a fairly expensive one. Service was exceptional (as it should be, given the service charge of $1.5K in addition to gratuities), and waitstaff were remarkably attentive and accommodating. Of course, this restaurant is one of those most known for its extravagant decor and theatrical ambiance, on which it certainly delivered. The unfortunate downside is that the music got progressively louder and the lights progressively dimmer as the night went on, making it exceedingly difficult to hold a conversation. Extremely slow service and poor pacing between dishes. Decor is stylish - really nice patio with pull down blinds to block direct sun, which is a nice touch. But despite being at only ~30% capacity, they sat all tables right next to eachother elbow to elbow along the wall, leaving all the nice roomy street-side booths empty. Dips were ok but nothing spectacular. Best part of the order was the bread basket which came with several different styles of crisp and soft breads. Oysters were tasty but many bits of broken shell were annoying. Grilled octapus was the best dish, though a bit tough. When we arrived, the hostess told us we had to leave in 2 hours because our table was booked at that time. Yet service was excruciatingly slow and even when we left, yhey were only at ~30% capacity, so not sure why she told us that, which made us feel rushed the whole time, watching the clock for no reason. We opted for outside since 4 people waiting at the bar is a bit awkward, and waited for our reservation time. After checking in, we were told again that our table wasn't ready. We ended up waiting more than 30 minutes past our reservation time on a special celebratory night, among other patrons who also had to wait. The hosts did their best, but couldn't provide clarity as to how long we had to wait. When we finally got our booth (a large one at that), the manager was hospitable and accommodating and brought us mezes and flaming saganaki free of charge. A big thank you to him for handling it well, definitely rectified the situation, softening our hangry hearts. I'm hoping this overbooking is a one-off problem. The food was great and fresh! We ordered the grilled octopus, horiatiki salad to share, grilled sea bass, chicken souvlaki, and slow-cooked lamb shoulder. The waitress also offered to de-bone the fish. Myth is a really nice and upscale Greek dining located on King Street. Service is great and decoration is modern. We ordered 25oz ribeye steak and lobster yiouvetsi, and Saragli for dessert. The 25oz bone in ribeye is a very good deal. I admit that the quality might not be the very best, but at a price of $95, I certainly have no complaint. Lobster yiousetsi is basically lobster risotto in Greek style. The sauce is very sour, it is definitely not my favorite. The half lobster is fresh for sure. I prefer Italian seafood risotto over it at all times. Finally my favorite dessert Baklava with pistachio ice cream. It is the best Greek dessert for me at all times, no substitution so far. Visited this restaurant tonight and can confidently say I will not be going back. We were greeted by a very monotone hostess. We were one of the first groups to enter the place. The hostess proceeds to bring us to the back of the restaurant behind the bar to an isolated table off to the side. We then asked to be sat somewhere else; she first denied us the area to the right because there was a bigger party coming. We again had to ask to be seated at the area closer to the entrance without her offering any possible suggestions on her own. She left for about five minutes while we were left standing there, and brought us to the area we requested without saying much. As we dined, we noticed that no one was being brought to our initial seating area and everyone was immediately brought to the area we asked to be seated at. This was shocking to us because we had asked her on the way out whether or not you needed a reservation to be sat there (you did not, there were many walk ins). We felt as if we were purposefully sat off to the side for whatever preempted misconception she had of us. Myth has been the hottest spot on every king west girl's story all summer, so I've been intrigued and skeptical about how this dinner would go. Going in my expectations were a bit low since I'd heard a lot of mixed reviews and it seems like more of a vibes place than a good food place, but I must say they exceeded my expectations, and I loved Myth! The key is knowing what to order, so here's a rundown of the meal: Drinks - their cocktails are super unique, it's hard to go wrong here but I chose the Destino and loved it. It was served in a lantern filled with a sweet floral scented smoke, and the fragrance of the smoke really sticks with the drink to take it to the next level - wine was great, they have a really unique selection from multiple countries and the greek red wine (Anatolikos Mavroudi Cab Sauv / Merlot) was a great choice, it was medium bodied with a nice smooth, dry flavour that paired well with the meal especially the steak Food - Saganaki (flaming cheese): seems gimmicky at first, but actually was really good as the cheese was nicely seasoned with oregano and lemon and the warm pita bread altogether made for a wonderful bite (though definitely heavy) - Myth chips: fried zucchini with tzatziki, these were also surprisingly good. I find fried zucchini can be hit or miss as it easily gets soggy but this was perfectly cooked, and the tzatziki was also delicious - Calamari: included squid and shrimp with a lemon roasted garlic aioli, this one was decent but I could've done without it. The flavours in the aioli weren't really there and I preferred the tzatziki to dip; the fish was fine but just average - Lamb Tartare: one of my surprise favourites, as I've never had lamb tartare before. The combo of lamb + olive + feta + egg mixed into the tartare along with these perfectly crunchy yet thin crackers made for a hell of a bite, it was better than most beef tartare I've had too - Horiatiki Salad: another favourite. Most horiatiki is the same - tomato, cucumber, feta, olives, oregano, maybe some onion. The thing that I loved about this salad was that they used heirloom tomatoes - a simple, subtle, genius tactic that really paid off, as it added new depth of flavour that I've never had in horiatiki - Bone-in Rib Steak: a solid steak, cooked and seasoned well. Also liked the blistered tomatoes / garlic / shallots as a nice touch. Dessert - Pistachio Baklava with Saffron / Burnt Honey Gelato: this dessert gets its own section since it was my favourite part! This dessert really blew my mind, it was the perfect bite after a big meal. Having eaten baklava all my life, I've always loved it and their pistachio baklava was up there with some of the best I've eaten. On top of that, the burnt honey / saffron gelato was the perfect sweet yet slightly spiced / savory accompaniment to the baklava, and it all came together in one beautiful bite, as if Zeus himself had come down from Mount Olympus to create this dessert for me. Overall, I would say even though Myth represents the king west neighborhood in a microcosm it definitely exceeded my expectations, both from a food / drink perspective and especially on the dessert. They struck a nice balance between keeping things simple / sticking to the classics while also making a few subtle twists here and there to put their own spin on things while also not trying to do too much. One of the keys was knowing what to order (I noticed the mixed reviews among my friends really correlated with what they ordered) so big shoutout to our server Justin for helping us out with that. It's a slightly different experience than you'd get on the danforth, and a little bit on the pricier side but it's pretty much in line with what you'd expect in king west. Nice decor, average food, worth trying once. I think those 3 things about sums it up. The food wasn't bad but you can get better for the price. The cocktails were great. This may be a good spot to stop in for a drink and a snack. The service was great and attentive. There was also a seating time limit. read more

I'm sure everyones seen this "trendy" new King St. spot on social media. And if you're feeling some fomo I'll put your mind at ease with this review We had the: 1. Flaming Saganki: Cheese + grilled Lemon + Oregano - It's a hard cheese made from goats milk, served on a hot plate and is a cool "show" however it didn't come with any pairings and the only option is to order some pita on the side (which ends up being a bit heavy) 2. Shrimp Stiskara: Grilled tiger shrimp + romesco + grilled Lemon - The shrimps were cooked nicely and still juicy and plump, however only 2 were decent sized, the others were tiny 3. Xtapodi Stiskara: grilled octopus - The octopus was cooked well however I felt there was a lot going on, from the pickled onions to the capers to the hummus, I felt like it all didn't really work that well together 4. Lavraki sti skara: grilled sea Bass - The fish was fresh, however I expected it to be more flavorful or interesting. I also expected for the fish to be deboned however there were quite a few bones on such a skinny fish So for my fomo foodies, it was decent but food-wise nothing crazy enough to justify the hype. It is however an IG worthy spot with a nice ambiance. It's also worth mentioning the service was attentive and they were helpful with the menu. Such a pricey place so be prepared to break the bank when you come here, but can honestly say it was worth it. It felt like you were going into a restaurant in Mykonos, the atmosphere was so romantic and fun. The tiger shrimps and octopus were my favourite menu items. I'm Mediterranean so I know good sea food and Myth is *chefs kiss.* Also order the santorini sunset cocktail it was phenomenal. read more

I'll save you the trip. I speak for anyone that is Greek and knows anything about Greek vibe, this gave me Egyptian vibes more-so Greek. Also, it felt like I was in a pyramid with the consistent lighting of brown... Not to mention, it was so dark I didn't really see what I was eating. Only based on texture you'd find out you were eating fried calamari. I should've listened to my family/friends when they said they were sick afterward. Maybe their sensitive stomachs couldn't digest well that day, but no. To no failure, I was sick as well. Not only me, but my partner. I've never been sick eating Greek food, let alone mediterranean in general. Oh, and to top it off, the food is priced the same as most 5-Star fine dining restaurants. Also, is it Greek if I have to ask for tzatziki? Literally 4 dishes and no tzatziki. Name me one person who eats fried kalamari with some sort-of garlic sauce, AT A GREEK RESTAURANT. Nothing on the pork pita, nothing with the chicken skewer. the waitress was nice enough to give us a nice fat portion to make-up for the lack of tzatziki. Anyways, there was no heist decision to compensate us or make it better. I'll be disputing this with Visa. 2 stars for friendly service and because they actually greet you in Greek. The food was immaculate and the service was phenomenal. The ambiance of Myth restaurant was very unique and brought a sense of comfort as you enjoy your dinner with friends and family. If you are a seafood lover, I highly recommend trying the tiger shrimp on the menu! This was one of my favourite dishes and the flavours were spectacular.
