The donations for the store come from very nice and wealthy donors in San Francisco and other areas of Marin County. The prices here are amazing. I mostly shop for myself but occasionally find something well enough price that I could resell it. They have a five dollar rack where they put everything that hasn't sold in two months. I found some amazing things on that rack today. I also bought myself some lovely things spent more than five dollars of course but not anywhere near the actual value of these designer pieces if you are anywhere near this place, you must stop by and support this wonderful cause.

My appointment was on a day that the store was closed. My purses were taken at the door - I was not invited in to discuss which purses were wanted or the selling prices. I was not given an opportunity to withdraw the purses if I felt the selling prices were too low. I was never given an inventory of what they kept or the prices. Security isn't great - when I went to pickup the 3 purses that went unsold, only 2 were located - the third was apparently shoplifted. The owner was unsympathetic and unconcerned.

Yes, it's consignment so it's catch as catch can, but I can't remember the last time I went into either a thrift or consignment store and bought more than one item, if I bought anything at all. With Lola's it's a different story, I ended up putting items back because I was having too much fun, but didn't want to buy too many things -I only have a finite amount of space after all.
