There were simple art deco lamps, tables, chairs mostly wood, and old mirrors ( I love OLD mirrors). " I should have known we were in trouble at that point but I was intrigued as we carefully walked through single file trying to take it all in mass piles of eclectic treasures but mostly trash, everywhere !! I found 4 items i thought to my self I would pay at most $ 100 I politely asked the owner how much after a long pause he barked out $ 200 !! I immediately set 2 items down and asked ok how about these 2 items he responded with $ 45 each i asked would you consider $ 50 for the pair ? a fair price as I buy and sell for a living. the owners response and I quote " i would rather set them on fire then accept that price !! " mind you he made no mention of any sale and it was quite obvious that inspight of closing his shop forever within the next hour he had no intention of selling a dam thing !! I had hundreds of dollars cash money in my pocket ready to buy , but the owner was rude and simply unwilling to sell anything !! needless to say my wife and I left empty handed and blown away by the off the wall experience and incredibly rude owner !!

Susan Hoy is the sole proprietor here, and she's been running the business for around thirty years. She's also an author, having written a series of "fictional diary" books featuring Steiff Teddy Bears, who go to Africa, the Chelsea Flower Show, Paris, and the Nile, which she displays and carries in the shop and online. We have come in at times and not been greeted by Susan, but on our recent visit she came out from behind the counter to share her story with us, showing us her favorite things with pride and we made a human connection. Our verdict is that is a passion project run by a true original, and some might say eccentric. Susan creates replicas of actual antique greeting cards that she sells, and offers a remarkable collection of vintage mercury holiday ornaments. All the things that Susan loves fill this unusual shop. She's also managed to set up a blog & webstore for her shop to sell her treasures, which is almost as quirky as her bricks and mortar shop.

Hunting through tables overflowing with vintage finds, textiles, pottery, jewelry, and home goods, plus the sport of bargaining with vendors. Some prices felt too high, but it's free to attend, worth a visit and there were still finds. I found unique vintage silver jewelry at fair prices, and several sellers had priced to sell, or were willing to negotiate. We skipped food stalls, but overall this is a fun outdoor Sunday outing, with shopping, food and even musicians, reminiscent of French vintage outdoor markets, with layers of items set out on tables & sometimes too high prices.
