Their annual shoe sale is seriously better than the semi-annual Victoria's Secret sale, I swear. Located in Oakway Center, it's hard to not peek in whenever i'm shopping just to see their selection of shoes. These are quality high end shoes, everything from Frye's, Hunter's, to Jeffrey Campbell. While expensive, every pair of shoes that I have purchased here has lasted for literally, years. I love that there is such variety here. You can come in one week and then come in two weeks later and the shoes have changed! They now have clothes at Miss Meer's. Really nice dresses, jeans, and tops. I haven't bought any clothes yet but can't wait til I do! I recently stopped by and purchased a pair of Hunter's rain boots that were not only in my size but I scored 50% off the retail price! I love to smell candles. Turns out they have a lot more than candles! From soaps to a selection of Yala brand clothing, Uncommon Scents is full of things to help me unwind after a long day. I didn't have a lot if time to look around initially, so I decided to sample oils from their bath oil bead bar and come back to try out their scent bar full of essential oils and other scents. They have a bath bomb that smells exactly like Oregon rain, so I grabbed that, too. The oil beads add the perfect amount of smell to a bath and I'll definitely be restocking them regularly! For my second trip to Uncommon Scents, I arrived with a vague recipe my mom gave me for the blend of essential oils she used to mix and spray when I was a child. One of the kind women that works there explained how the bar worked and mixed the recipe for me. It was exactly like I remembered it to smell, even though my mom had forgotten the exact measurements. I gave it to my mom for Christmas and she was so happy!

We had it on the Road King if you are wondering what bike it was on the back of. We used extra bungee's for it although it does come with straps. Can't have the Princess going anywhere. I also would have bought my leather jacket from here instead of Harley because they are way cheaper except I have short girl problems and the Harley jacket fit me better. I was also going to return here to get my boots and chaps because they have such a great deal but I happened to score Harley brand at Buffalo Exchange for $40 a piece. Not even broke in. Score for me! But I tell you what if I need anything else like gloves...my first stop will be here. Also great selection on helmets.

The woman herself, Celeste, was at the shop when I stopped in and was so warm and welcoming. They have a variety of designs. I especially liked the one with a peacock design, and there was one with some leaves blowing that I was quite taken with. I also saw a beautiful one with a compass rose that was a wooden dial. There was even one with a Sasquatch! They also take commissions and you can send a photo of your pet with which they'll create a watch face. You can't get more unique than that. The watch materials may include wood, mother of pearl, abalone, and so on which makes them really just stunning. I'd love to get one of these sometime because they of course are practical but they're also a beautiful accessory and fashion statement. I was given an Apple Watch that I never actually wanted (it has a couple useful features) and can go many months without wearing or thinking about, but something like this would feel much more practical to me (if for no other reason than having to charge up a watch is just ridiculous to me). I think at some point I'll be back in person or via their website to buy one of their pieces--it's a matter of narrowing it down to which of a few designs I really want.

They rotate their gear for sale regularly, and if you have extra outdoor gear you're not using, you can get them to sell it it for you (for a price.) I regularly pop into here to see what is new. I am stoked we have a place like this in Eugene. I bought all my snowboarding gear here for less than $200, which was cheaper than a single jacket at REI. I got Burton, Marmot, and Smith gear, and it kept me warm all winter!
