I noticed this Ashville Moving company advertised they can move pianos. So I figured if they can move a heavy piano then they should be able to move a 350lbs marble table. However recently, after waiting in Asheville for a newly constructed apartment in Tennessee that had been delayed a few times, it was suddenly ready around the end of the month/Memorial Day weekend/college student move out. Every place I called for end of month or first week of June was booked solid. Finally seeing there was a Two Men and a Truck franchise in Asheville area (Fletcher), I gave them a call and their very professional estimator was able to get me movers on my requested date, near the end of my lease. Today, I had Chris Santana and Richmond show up for my move, on time at exactly 8 a.m. Kudos to this Asheville franchisee and whoever hired Chris and Rich. They were so quick, 3 hours to load, 3 hours to unload. And a 2 hour drive to Gatlinburg. They both honestly worked equally hard, they were friendly, and they worked at a safe but quick pace. Chris wrapped every single item in a movers blanket. I have never seen this before. Usually movers will wrap my armoire, headboard, dresser or other easily scratched items. Chris even wrapped my plant stand. Everytime I saw him wrap another item and made comment on it, he would tell me they cared about protecting their customers possessions. He also offered mattress bags to protect them, and had a bin for moving large non-boxable items. I have never seen these things or been offered them at the Raleigh franchise. This Asheville team is superior. Richmond was the most polite, helpful mover. Truly kind and helped me out by saying Yes to every single thing I requested. He was delightful to speak to and really gave me the impression that he just likes helping people, which he pointed out we could all use more of in this day and age. He was exactly right. Really an example of hard work ethic, role model, great human being. My puppy, Olivia Dale, enjoyed getting his attention too. They both worked to expertly set up my furniture in my new place, with careful consideration and always checking with me for my approval before moving on to the next furniture placement. I'm so used to movers who plop your items down, leaving you surrounded by a hot mess or having to do some rearranging. Overall, a very easy pleasant experience from some top professionals. And the out of state rate was cheaper than my move from Raleigh to Asheville by a couple thousand dollars. Thanks for everything, Chris and Rich!

Performed a detailed packing plan with their representative because of my inability to be present…read moreat loading. All boxes to be moved clearly marked and cordoned off with tape. Closets with signs on doors to pack all contents. They failed to load 25% of boxes and totally ignored closets. Used truck driver as scapegoat to sign off on loading so they can escape their contractual commitments. They had no interest in trying to resolve any of the issues so customer satisfaction and quality of job actually mean nothing.

I later learned he was a "loaner" who didn't even work for the company, and that he did poor work all day. -They were hired to help PACK the house, which I was fine paying for. The workers brought NO packing materials and instead just tossed stuff haphazardly into whatever container they could find. When they ran out of the boxes we had provided, instead of asking me to go get more (I was working in my vehicle the entire day), they simply threw things into the back of their truck loose. Two days later we're still finding shattered pieces of our property due to, for example, reams of printer paper being thrown on top of china. -Speaking of dishes, they didn't even pack everything. There were a few items I asked them to leave once I realized they were being idiots with our stuff, but we also discovered they didn't even open the kitchen cabinets, so we have to go back and move most of the kitchen ourselves. If the house closing had not already been moved, we'd have to move it just to finish the job we paid for. -After the truck left the old house I found the ground littered with cigarette butts. It turned out they had been smoking all day right next to the OPEN DOOR of the house. All our stuff reeks of cigarette smoke. Whatever does not err out is now ruined. All told it took them two days to move a three-bedroom home and it's not even moved. We've lost many of my wife's nice things to straight-up malicious incompetence. The owner did take responsibility and accepted a reduced bill, but the more we try to undo the mess, the worse even that settled bill looks. Stay far, far away.

With only 2 days notice, Rye Moving made an extra effort to fit me in to an already full day (in the late afternoon). First, when they moved our washing machine, they knocked the sink off of the wall and spilt the blue liquid detergent all over the carpet, so my husband had to rent a carpet machine to clean up the mess and make repairs. Second, I had to ask multiple times for them to wrap the computer screen on my peloton. It was loaded into the truck still unwrapped, but they finally did it as I stood there and watched. But the biggest mess up was them failing to wrap a new expensive leather chair that I told them when we walked through the house to wrap and that it was expensive...to please be careful. Well, they didn't wrap it, and I didn't monitor every move. (And my husband was occupied with renting a carpet cleaner and fixing the sink being knocked off the wall!) I was devastated to find my chair with BLACK SHARPIE on it that transferred over from a box sitting on it!!! Of course no ownership was taken. The response from Cornelius was that they had pads, but they couldn't leave them with us. What?!? We had plastic wrap leftover that wasn't used! Nor did he ask me if I had other blankets!!! Of course other items were damaged and broken like both of my kids' desks and a chunk taken out of my son's nightstand due to poor packing and not wrapping. I posted another chair too.
