Best 30 minute massage of my life. I needed a quick sports massage for my legs, knees, feet, etc. while training for an ultra. I told Elbert my concerns, and he went above and beyond to help me feel better. Elbert is the real deal! I went to him because I'm in the process of pelvic physical therapy to relieve hip pain that I've had for many years. Someone on Nextdoor asked for recommendations for massage, and Elbert was one of the people (enthusiastically) recommended. Glad I went to him. He's friendly and professional, and was thorough is asking questions to identify what my my issue was and what he could do to help with it. His technique is intentional and can be intense, but it's that "good pain" and attention to location, amount of pressure, and detail that made the difference. This guys is the real deal! Anyone dealing with a sports injury that refuses to go away, come here! There will be times when the massage won't feel good as Elbert is really working that muscle out, but the results by the end of the week will be well worth your time and money spent. I have been dealing with a partial tear of my rotator cuff for the past year and a half. I went through orthopedic specialists and even got a steroid shot but every time I started to feel better and went back to working out, my shoulder would be so inflamed. It got to the point where, being in achy pain was just my everyday norm. Finally I decided to try Elbert for a sports massage based on great Yelp reviews. I figured I might as well try him before going back to the surgeon for another steroid shot. I really didn't expect much out of the massage and I sure as heck didn't expect him to fix my shoulder injury permanently. It's been two months since my massage with Elbert, and let me say, that injury is completely healed and not coming back. In my mind, this dude is a magician! He is super professional. I am not one to usually get a massage from dudes. He puts you at ease, and he doesn't jip you on the amount of time you've paid for.
