I have been struggling with ocular migraines for over 20 years. In the past year, they have gotten so much worse. I think my neurologist is at a loss as to what else to do with me at times. Dr. Bailey had just heard about the Altius migraine contact lenses and asked if I was interested in trying them out. Of course I jumped at the opportunity, since it would be amazing not to have to rely on daily medication. I felt relief from an oncoming migraine the moment I put these contact lenses in. I have now been wearing them every time I have to go into the office or have a full day of computer usage ahead of me for about 3 weeks. I went from 3 to 5 migraines a week to MAYBE one. The earliest available appointment was in October, but a week before the appointment, it was canceled. I rescheduled for November, and on the morning of that appointment, they canceled again. To make matters worse, they only send text messages to notify you of cancellations--no calls to explain or help reschedule. After this frustrating and unprofessional experience, I gave up and went elsewhere.

I also enjoy the professionalism of Dr. Lam and all her staff. Not to mention, she's a gorgeous, intelligent and personable woman to chat with while you're getting your vision checked on. I learned a lot about my eyes that day and my options for when I decide to get Lasik done soon. I liked that her office also carries some of the luxury eyewear brands I enjoy wearing, but not overwhelming with too many options. It only took me about 5 minutes after my exam to pick my new frames for the year. A great place for your yearly eye exam for sure.
