Myesha was amazing! I received a postpartum massage and she did not play around. I felt drunk after the massage with all the good chemicals/hormones flowing through my body. It's been a while since I have had a massage, like years, so my body really needed it and she knew exactly how to help me. She was able to provide deep tissue massage and attend to some really difficult points in my body. I can't wait to go back! It started with some time in a sauna and then moved to the massage table where she used essential oils and coconut oil. I'm big on all natural and organic products so this was perfect! I normally use coconut oil as a moisturizer for my body so it was perfect! I didn't feel like I had all kinds of weird massage oils ruining my clothes after. read more

Myesha is a pro and as real as they come. For athletes specifically, I cannot recommend her services enough. I play basketball and my mobility and posture improved dramatically after just one session. I honestly felt taller after our session. If you have any stress points in your body, you don't even have to tell her since she will notice them right away and work them out in the massage. If you are struggling with recovery times or feel like you need some stress or trauma released from your body, look no further. She is one of the more conscious people I have met and is very experienced at what she does. Come ready to laugh, cry, and think about life if you choose to do so. A real professional!! read more

I've been going to Myesha to help my recovery from a car accident. I'm grateful to have walked-away from the accident, however, I was left with injures to tendons and muscles that are mostly invisible. Myesha has worked with me to identify which ligaments and muscles are damaged and release them. This has supported my PT and chiropractor in working with me. I always leave feeling relaxed and energized to work on my own self-care between session. read more

Let me tell you mu story. I was in need of a place that I and my husband could get a good message. I was Myesha's ad from three others offered and decided to try her out. Well, after the first treatment, found out she is a therapeutic masseuse, which in this area is hard to find. I have leg circulation problems and after a few total body message treatments, my echo scans for my legs have improved to the point the vascular surgeon released me. I attribute it with out visits to Myesha every other week. My husband was having soreness in back and between shoulder blades and Myesha noticed more knots else ware and is working to remedy the problem. His range of motion has greatly improved and they continue to work on this and other areas of concern. She listens to your concerns, recommends what she thinks a client should have work on and goes to town with the message. Myesha also is a very professional, personable and caring person. If you looking for a great therapeutic message therapist, we strongly recommend Myesha at My Time Message. You won't be dissatisfied, believe me read more

RUN, don't walk! Myesha is absolutely incredible. I booked a 90 minute massage with her and it was something I never knew I needed! She is very knowledgeable, genuine and the passion she has exudes for changing her clients' lives is so refreshing! It was the toughest massage I've ever received, but also the very best. I have never felt better or slept better - she truly is able to transform you. If you want to know what a true "new self" feels like, let her do her magic! She is a one-woman show and a master at it; it's no surprise she has such a loyal customer base! Recommend her highly! read more

I had been "treating myself" to massages for about 7 years before I met Myesha. The massages I had were always relaxing, but never deep enough to address any knots I had. After just one session with Myesha (Sept. 2017), I felt so rejuvenated that I was convinced to received regular care. Fast forward to now, I have been a regular client for almost three years, primarily seeing her for general care as well as athletic recovery. Earlier this year, I got in a minor car accident and have been working with Myesha for my personal injury case. I continue to recommend her to friends/coworkers. There's no one else whose that I would want to have take care of me. I don't know what I would do if I/she ever moved out of the Greater Seattle area! Highlights: - Best and deepest tissue massage I've ever had. No need to go anywhere else when you know you're dealing with the best. - Myesha's depth (no pun intended) of knowledge and techniques for massage as well as holistic health (she's also a doula!) is amazing. This is a PASSION of hers and her energy is contagious! - Hot towels and occasional sauna sessions really help loosen up the muscles. - Flexible and easy to schedule with! - I leave each session feeling physically and mentally rejuvenated to take on the world. read more

I enjoyed my first massage from Myesha yesterday. I have a part time job as a server and enjoy working out in my free time. I get muscle aches often in my shoulder and lower back. Myesha understood all my problems and relieved tension in all the areas I mentioned and more. She was very informative about the process as well as any underlying issues linked to the muscle aches/pains such as insomnia and slight anxiety. She is definitely strong and works to get stubborn knots out of the way. After my massage I was so relaxed I was sleepy the entire day. The session took place in a room within a building that is rented out for commercial space. However, do not let that fool you, it won't deter you from getting the massage that you need. If you looking to get pampered, a spa is probably up your alley. But if you're looking for a quality massage, Myesha is your answer. I enjoyed everything except our time was a bit chatty. The next massage I think I would request for a quiet massage and probably won't be a major issue. read more

My wife and I got a massage from her based on Groupon. It was really cool and what made it so unique is that she holds the view that massages are a lifestyle, rather than a luxury that is done on one-off instances. It really interested me how she viewed that. We definitely had some knots that she worked out so there were times it didn't feel the best, but it was to get the knots out. She is super friendly. She had both my wife and I laughing the entire time. The building is a little hidden and we actually got a warning since we parked in the building lot, so make sure to park on the street or somewhere else. read more

My Time For Massage - Massage Therapy Near Me

I was in a car accident a couple of days after Christmas. Car was totaled and and I had to do 5 months of physical therapy! Well after all of that the pain is still there and sometimes unbearable. But let me tell you God sent me an angel Myesha Mitchell Lmp! I had my first massage with her on Friday and I now see the light at the end of the tunnel where I will no longer suffer from shoulder pain. To have someone who is passionate and has a love for people is the icing on the cake. Please book an appointment, you will not be disappointed read more

Myesha works magic. I'm generally very happy with my body, so I was surprised how much better things could get with regular massage. I started seeing her regularly and suddenly realized I'd been in a better-than-usual mood for a few weeks. Less tension in my body is making my life just better. I'm also a tooth-grinder with a usually quite tense jaw. I had no idea that was something a massage could help with. A week after my first-ever jaw massage, I was still feeling looser, with more range of motion, and haven't been needing my tooth guard every night. Myesha doesn't hold back. If you're looking for a massage to just give you space to relax for an hour, this isn't it. The massage you will get here is intended to move tissues in your body so that they function better long term, and the process for that is not gentle. Another expectation to set: it's a conversational space, not a silent meditation- you might be talking politics or anecdotes while your body gets worked on. For me, these are part of what makes the experience good: it's a relationship between you, her, and your body. All in all, I highly recommend getting massages from Myesha-- and taking them seriously! Take it as a course of treatment for permanent improvements in your body, let her help you figure out the schedule for the work your body needs, and tell her what you wish your body, mind, and mood could do. I feel better in ways I didn't imagine would improve. read more

I highly recommend Myesha! I started to see Myesha when my body stared to feel so tense because of the shift to 100% remote work from home and school closure due to Covid 19. I was so exhausted after taking care of 2 kids and working for 7 consecutive months. Her massage skills, her strong positive energy, and her warm caring heart always impresses me. After every session, I feel not only looser in my muscles but also less stressed. She recently gave me a head and face massage. After the session, I was able to breathe a lot deeper, and my neck and shoulders felt so much lighter. Her hands know where to give pressure. She is honest, genuine, and true to both herself and her clients. Talking with her is indeed empowering, and I am blessed I got to know her as a person. read more

I've had 4 sessions, one 30 minute and three 60 minute, and so far she has definitely changed my body for the better! I always think I might not need a massage before I go, but after I feel so much better and more relaxed. I have worked out so many knots in my upper back! She really goes all in for the massage. It's one of the toughest, but also the most effective. She has released tension I didn't even know I was holding onto and made me aware of what's going on in my body I didn't notice before. She also gives good advice on how to keep your body feeling good. There's no waiting area and sometimes she can be running over in appointments, but it's never a big deal. Just a few minutes. Park in the street, there's always been something close by. Overall, I definitely recommend. read more

My Time For Massage... YES! Myesha is absolutely the best massage therapist I have ever had. Firstly, Myesha is a wonderful human being. She is skilled and knowledgeable about massage. I am diabetic, and my 69 year old body has suffered damage from broken bones, dislocations throughout my life. Myesha has a great talent for finding the problem spots, and working though them. Myesha has also been working on my beloved partner. He has survived cancer/chemo treatments, and a painful arthritic condition called DISH, with causes calcification in his soft tissues surrounding the spine. We have bought packages of Myesha's services. We are so happy to have connected with her. I have my art studio in the same building. You will not be disappointed in her care. read more

The first time I met Myesha, I was struck by her energy and generous attitude. She's the type of person you want in your corner to help fight the good fight (which in this case is getting your body feeling good again). In short, she had me feeling better and more optimistic about my body with every visit. A few details worth noting: -She does not mess around about getting knots and tension out. She helped me breathe through some tough spots, but where others might have let up, she insisted that it was better to take care of the problem than to let it get worse. -She gives great follow up tips to keep your body on the mend and makes herself available should you need to reach out. -She is an advocate for the body and the mind and gets you thinking about how the relationship between the two supports positive results. I left every session feeling released of body fatigue and re-energized to work on myself. The stiffness in my neck is gone, the throbbing feeling in my lower back has subsided, and my commitment to doing better for my body is sky high. I highly recommend working with Myesha. read more

My fiance and I had massage groupons for My Time For Massage and let's just say... we've been a little knotty (LOL). I was very tense in my neck and shoulders because I work in an office and rarely stretch, but by the time I left I was a changed woman!!! Myesha worked wonders and I've never felt so good in my life. She is a wonderful massage therapist and wants what's best for your body and wellness overall. Thank you again Myesha!!! I will definitely be recommending my friends and family! :) read more

Myesha is a great masseuse. She has a servant's heart and wants to, and loves to help people. She is good about giving massages, and wants you to get the maximum experience from her sessions. If you are a regular, she will take care of you and put your interests first. Her massage style is excellent. She is very straightforward, which at first is intimidating but when you get to know her it makes so much sense. She's funny and kind and has an amazing work-ethic! She is running her own business, going to school, and raising a family. She's doing an amazing job and I'm glad I'm one of her clients. read more

I get frequent massages and decided to try out this groupon deal. This was by far the worst massage I've ever received, for a number of reasons. When I stepped into the massage room, the music was of very loud bird squaks. I politely asked if it could be changed to something more soothing and was given attitude while she searched for five minutes for spa music. Is spa music that unheard of at a massage? Once the massage started, Myesha insisted on talking very loud throughout most of the massage. I'm getting married soon and when I answered her invasive questions about the wedding planning, she decided that I was a "bridezilla" and told me more than once I was being a bridezilla. What?! She also decided that I had very tight shoulders (pretty common among office workers in my experience) and actually called me Quasimodo while massaging my shoulders! I have never, ever, been called a name while getting a relaxing massage and could not believe my ears that this woman was laughing and calling me names while I laid half-naked on her massage bed. The last straw was when I asked her not to massage my legs (I am currently seeing a physical therapist for tight IT bands and didn't want any interference with my progress). Myesha literally insisted on working my IT bands and it was so painful I couldn't even speak. That ended the massage - what I had hoped to be a relaxing time out of my day was full of insults, jeering, and her deliberately ignoring my wishes. Myesha has a loud personality and her poor customer service is way out of place in the massage world. I would not recommend this to anyone; there are so many great massage spots in Seattle, there's no need for a such a bad customer experience. read more

After breaking the ball of my shoulder in 2013 playing roller derby, I began a quest to find some relief from the constant pain of the scar tissue that had built up in my back and neck from car accidents and whiplash from playing roller derby. It took me two years to find the person who could help me. I am a former derby player (9 years) and was involved in two pretty hellacious car accidents- one was my fault, the second was the other driver's fault. I am a mid-level executive and work about 70 hours a week doing product management and support for video games. I have done yoga, rolfing, Feldenkrais and Reiki in an attempt to find relief from chronic pain from these injuries. My first experience with Myesha was intense (see my Facebook review, of 3 weeks ago). She actually looked me over and called out where my pain points where, which I'd never experienced with another massage therapist. When the massage started, she walked me through breathing exercises as she worked some particularly tight spots. When she was done with one very huge spasm, I burst in to tears at the immediate relief I felt. Her touch is healing, soothing, and put me at peace in a way that another body worker has not done. And we chatted the whole time, which I felt very favorably about because it took my mind off the intensity of the massage. (Edit - she asked me at the start of my massage if I was comfortable chatting or wanted silence). I have been shopping for a massage therapist since 2013. I have gone through probably 20 Groupon and Amazon Local therapists since then. I have taken recommendations from friends and family members. I have been to some very well-known spas and treatment centers around Ballard, Wallingford and Fremont. I have taken a TON of medication, including muscle relaxers, narcotics, and have a pretty healthy addiction to ibuprofen. I have been to the ER with neck and lower back spasms that had me in tears. I've had cortisone shots. I mostly gave up and decided I'd just live in pain and drink lots of wine so I could sleep. I am so glad I gave my healing one more shot. Not once in those previous experiences have I met someone I trust as much as Myesha. I have actually requested previous therapists to stop the massage, or had to guide them to where I needed extra work. I have been sexually harassed and told, "oh please, you can't be in that much pain." I have had my doctor refuse physical therapy and just give me more meds. At the end of my first appointment with Myesha, I knew I found someone who would take my pain management seriously. She asked if I would be willing to join her in a therapy plan to help ease my pain and increase my strength. I immediately said yes. When we first discussed a treatment plan, she asked me to come in once a week for the next several weeks. I was initially apprehensive about the cost, and amount of therapy, but agreed to see what would happen. After my second massage, she was pleased with how much I'd kept up with my exercises and cut my treatment to twice a month. This removed any apprehension about the hard-sell that I was thinking was coming. I just had my third appointment with Myesha. She was actually pretty excited about how well my progress was coming, and pronounced me "not there, but getting there." I know I have years of body work ahead of me, but I am so glad that I have a professional who will help me get there, vs someone who just treats me like a client. If you're just looking for a "spa" massage, this is NOT the place for you. If you want to sip champagne and get a facial while wearing a white robe, also NOT the place for you. If you want a trained healer who will help you get in tune with your body and pain management, this IS the place for you. If you want some serious pain management and a thoughtful, professional, in-tune therapist, this IS the place for you. I like her so much I bought massages for a friend and my daughter. Thanks, Myesha. read more

Personally and professionally, Myesha is fantastic. She does amazing deep tissues massage. I have chronic tightness in my shoulders and back that have caused me pain for years, and I have seen so much improvement! She has really amazing touch and is intuitive in knowing and focusing on the areas that need help. She also is a very kind and encouraging person. She is all about empowering her clients towards health and healing, not only in massage but in their personal lives. Passionate about self care and self growth, Myesha is a positive presence to be and I leave feeling physically and emotionally encouraged each time I see her. She is warm, welcoming, and does great work, I would highly recommend her! read more

To put it simply, my life has completely transformed since the day I came to see Myesha back in April of 2017. I have consistently received care form Myesha multiple times a month since our first visit. I truly appreciate the relationship we have built and admire her for sharing such a powerful gift. I was in a very low place and my body was holding all of my stress and depression. I had chronic fatigue, headaches, my neck, low back and knee were in constant pain. I felt hopeless. I had gained a lot of weight from neglecting my body and not living mindfully. Self care was on the bottom of my priority list and I finally got to a point where I couldn't take it anymore and I turned to Groupon for a discounted massage for a quick fix. I found her page and was in awe of all the beautiful reviews she received and felt connected to her before I even met her. Little did I know.. a quick fix was not an option for me as I had a lot of built up tension and trauma in my body that would require consistent care. I cannot imagine there ever coming a time where I will not make massage a priority in my life. Myesha doesn't just give massage. She truly is an energy worker. She showed me the power of taking time to care for myself and my body. Not only is every massage with Myesha unique and catered to my body's current needs, she uses her gift of empathy and intuitive touch to truly transform the way that you see yourself and your body. She is extremely positive and will always be honest with you, she has certainly helped me push past discomfort so that I could come out on the bright side and find clarity. She has so many lessons to share, not just about the body but the power of the mind as well. All aspects of my life has transformed since Myesha came into my life. I feel that Myesha is not only my therapist, but a spiritual sister and guide in life. She is the true definition of a successful business woman who leads her practice with love and honesty. She has shown me an unlimited amount of unconditional love and has given me more than I could ever ask for. If you wish to seek care from Myesha, be sure to show up ready to be honest with her and yourself to receive the best results. Trust yourself and the process and you will forever be grateful, as I am! read more

I bought a groupon for this visit as a Mother's Day gift to myself figuring I would have a relaxing little massage and be on my way. I didn't realize how knowledgable Myesha is when it comes to the body, muscles, medical stuff, etc. To be honest I kind of expect companies to half ass their groupon customers sometimes because I'm already getting my services at a discount, but my experience with Myesha was far from that. She paid special attention to all of my messed up muscles. I didn't realize how bad my muscles were until she showed me in the mirror. Even when I stood up straight one shoulder was significantly higher than the other. After my massage it was a little more level, but not completely level because years of neglecting my body won't be undone with a single massage appointment. I've had my share of massages in my lifetime, but I hadn't really met a massage therapist worth going back to unless it was convenient. Not that they were bad massage therapists, just not anything that really stood out. I do plan on going back to My Time for Massage though. I had an absolutely wonderful experience there. I even took a flyer for my mom because she has a lot of back issues and a chiropractor just doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore. I see why Myesha's repeat business seems to be so high. This review is longer than the average review, but Yelp is encouraging me to keep going because "You can't be stopped". Crazy Yelp. I'm done writing. Carry on :-) read more

Myesha is a woman who has all of the technical and medical knowledge, adept skills in both a medical and therapeutic massage background, and can speak the language of a heart-centered bodywork professional. I left feeling I'd been given more quality, care, and genuine attention than I ever expected, and feel it is more worth it to get my body care here than anywhere else. I would recommend this studio to anyone, especially those who are givers, builders, and leaders that give so much of them selves and want a proven way to truly get filled back up again. As a testimonial to her product, I would feel truly excited to give one of Myesha's massages to a friend or loved one as a gift, and would fee confident that they would leave feeling 100% better, refreshed, relaxed, and cared for when they left. I, like many others, have tension in my upper back/shoulder areas. Other problem spots for me have been my upper thigh, IT band area. I loved my first session/massage from Myesha and will be going back for more! Myesha is a so genuine, caring, passionate, and TALENTED. Within moments, I could tell that she really wants what's best for her clients, addresses root causes of why your body might be feeling some type of way, and (if willing) will provide advice/feedback on how to help improve chronic pain/trouble areas, so that you can maximize the massage you received. She has been the only person to really work on my upper back where I see improvement with my range of motion, tension, and knots. Her deep tissue technique is like no other; there were moments that were intense and not so pleasant, but I walked away from the 90min session feeling so much better. The days (and sleeps) following the massage were amazing. I felt so good, relaxed, and refreshing. If you want actual sustainable change, get away from the SPAs that are on every other corner. My experience with Myesha was terrible. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment time, as instructed, to fill out paperwork. Even though she was late in opening her door, I did not think much of it. However, she was rude and unwelcoming from the very first moment. On reviewing my check-in sheet on which I had marked many parts of my body as tense, she scoffingly asked 'Really? Extreme', and on hearing that it was just mild-moderate tension and I had a massage about a month ago, shrugged and rolled her eyes. She asked how much water I'd had - on learning that I'd already had five glasses since the morning, she proceeded to order me (yes, literally order me) to drink an entire bottle of water right there. When I drank about 1/4, and declined to drink more since I felt full (and did not want to have the urge to use the bathroom during the massage) she brushed that aside and once again ordered me to drink the whole bottle. On declining once again, she shrugged and said something to the effect of "sure, it's your massage, we'll see how it goes". At this point given how her behavior was oscillating between passive-aggressiveness and downright hostility, the environment was starting to feel unsafe - so I left, contacted Groupon (she had apparently already redeemed the Groupon days ago, but Groupon fixed this), and got refunded. Looking through Myesha's response to reviews, it is clear that she does not take responsibility for her actions - except when clients leave positive reviews. It won't be surprising if her response to this review follows the trend of defensiveness and obfuscation. However I do hope this review helps Yelpers who value good customer service, kindness and compassion. read more

My first massage with Myesha was through a Groupon voucher, and now months later I am still a loyal customer. I've been getting massages on an off through different people for years and Myesha is the best massage therapist I've had. In my past massages with other therapists, it felt like they were following a routine - working on some knots here and there, but mainly more feel good/relax type of massage. With Myesha, she spends time understanding your lifestyle so that she can know where to work on your body to release tension. You'll definitely feel great after each session. She also spends time explaining why massages are helpful and what lifestyle changes are needed to keep your body healthy. Myesha's massage style is a mix of multiple techniques - swedish, deep tissue, hot towels, stretching, etc. Her pressure is definitely stronger than most massage therapists so if you're used to a more gentler touch definitely let her know. For those of you that have been searching for a nice strong massage, Myesha is the best! She's also fun to chat with so relax and get ready to make a new friend. read more

Got groupons for myself and my boyfriend and we both loved our massages. It was like a massage + therapy + self care + comedy session all in one. Myesha knows the ins and outs of what she's doing and helps you understand not just the general importance of taking care of your body but also how massages personally affect and benefit you as an individual. I've had great, relaxing massages before - but this is more about getting rid of the things in your body that don't serve you so you can be your better self and help prevent any not so welcome conditions that could find you at some point in your life. She taught us how to care for our bodies and things we could do at home as well - super thoughtful. read more

I found Myesha through a groupon deal, it was a Christmas gift from a friend. I wanted a massage for so long because I hadn't had one in over 10 years. I really liked her energy and it was very easy to talk to her and I felt very comfortable with her. She's a true professional and she has a passion for what she does and you can tell in the way she talks to you, and what she suggests specifically for your body based on what she felt when massaging you. I've already recommended a few friends to her and I'll definitely be going back to her for all my future massage needs! read more

The best way to summarize this experience is unprofessional. Myesha Mitchell is a solo massage therapist. She will send multiple emails to you before you ever receive a massage with offers for the future services. The day of the service, I called to confirm my appointment time and she sent me a text saying "look at your email". Then she proceeded to call me erratic and cancel on me. She said "reach out to group on", well, fun fact, apparently she already redeemed the coupon the day I called to make the appointment (SIX WEEKS) before I was actually scheduled to receive my massage, what a rip off. Don't waste your time with her services and instead go to an established professional business. Ballard Wellness Center is a much better alternative! Great customer service and much more professional, caring and kind! read more

Myesha is amazing. First off, she is STRONG and is abosolutely fantastic at finding all of your tense spots and kneading them out. I swear after she was done with my arms they tingled! Fair warning, if youre looking for someone to just rub your skin for an hour, then you won't find that here. She will definitely get very, very deep tissue with you and work those muscles. Also, she's an extremely friendly, kind, honest and open person. Originally from Philly, I moved out to Seattle in September of 2013, staying until August of this year. Coming from a city that is twice the size of Seattle, Philly naturally has a greater selection/availability of services, business, world class medical care (with Ivy League trained medical providers) and restaurants (an East Coaster's biggest dilema is finding QUALITY Italian food, not chains such as Olive Garden or Buca Di Beppo). As such, it was very difficult to find any of the above whose quality was equal to or greater than that of what I could find back home. Until I met Myesha. Like many, I also heard about Myesha and My Time for Massage on Groupon, and have had multiple massages to date. I would still give her 5 stars. I had lots of tension in my back due to sitting at a desk all day, and Myesha is the only massage therapist I've encountered in Seattle that understands what I mean when I say that I need deep tissue work. Even back home in Philly, I had difficulty finding someone that really gave me the deep tissue work I needed. If I ever find myself back in Seattle, I would definitely squeeze time for a massage with Myesha. Myesha also has an infrared detox machine that is great to use before a massage. It took me to another level of relaxation, before I even had the actual massage! In addition to giving great massages, I found Myesha very warm, friendly, approachable, and a great conversationalist. Should anyone still have doubts or questions, feel free to message me. read more

Myesha is incredible. One of the best massages I've ever received. I have erbs palsy and as a result I have very specific needs and back problems. Myesha was incredibly receptive, knew of my injury, and encouraged communication during the whole massage. I asked for deep tissue, and she delivered! Myesha is relationship, communication, and quality oriented. I will definitely be returning to her and highly recommend her services. read more

Myesha is nice but she talked nonstop throughout my massage. Literally from start to finish. I could barely get a word in. I guess I should have said, "I like my massages to be silent." But should I really have to say that? Every other masseuse I've had assumed that you want quiet first and then talks more if you welcome it. Her actual massage is above average. Again, Myesha, I'm happy to have met you and you're an amazing woman, but you should ask upfront whether your clients want to talk or not. Don't put your clients in the position of having to ask you to not talk. EDIT: sorry Myesha I'm not the person you're thinking of. I'm not moving to Florida. And no, I don't give high ratings out very easily. So people should trust me when I do. EDIT #2: Ladies and gentlemen, this is exactly what I'm talking about. read more
