So to start off this review I LOVE MY VACUUM! Yes I just said that, I love my Oreck vacuum. I bought my first one back in 2008 when I bought my first house. Oreck is middle range in pricing for their vacuums depending on what you are looking for. They are WAY better than what you can buy at any Walmart or Target, but not as expensive as some of the Dyson, Rainbow or Kurby vacuums. I wanted something that was great with carpet and tile for my house had a lot of both. For me it was a pain to use 2 different vacuums or put a different piece on to go from carpet to tile to wood to carpet again. The best thing about my Oreck is it did just that with no hassle. I am able to vacuum my carpets (great suction power) and go straight to my tile by a push of a button. A lot of vacuums don't vacuum tile well for the suction isn't strong enough to get what you want off the floor, well the Oreck is! I never have to re-sweep or go over anything on my carpet or tile when I vacuum. The down side of the Oreck which could be a plus too is the fact that the wand and attachments for smaller jobs are on a completely different vacuum. So we got a standing regular vac, and a hand held smaller vac. It comes in handy when you want to just clean baseboard or curtains or stairs, but when you want to do it all at once you have to use two different vacuums. With that being said, I try to take my vacuum in for routine check-ups once a year. It was part of my warranty package when I first bought the vacuum. It was a great investment for I wanted something that would clean my house, so why wouldn't I maintain it. Its just like having a car, you have to get the oil changes every 3,000 miles. You want your nice, awesome vacuum to keep it up. So anyway each time I bring it in I always get free tune ups and they check the bar, brushes and rollers to make sure things are top notch. I have had the vacuum for 5 years now and just now had the roller replaced! This vacuum has a lot of miles on it and it hasn't given me much trouble at all. You probably thinking ya but the roller probably set you back a pretty penny, actually it was pretty cheap and hassle free. I went in they looked at it, gave me the info about just needing a brush, installed a new brush and did the tune up and I received a call within 2 days to pick it back up! No fuss at all! Each time I come in here, I can't help but look at the new models and try their new products out! I have yet to be disappointed! I love their vacuums and their cleaning products! They all work wonders. The staff here is very knowledgeable and very friendly each time I come in too! I definitely will be an Oreck owner for the rest of my life! Keep it up Oreck you guys can help me clean my house any day! *I realize this is a long review about a vacuum, but I know all you women and mommies out there appreciate a great product that works, especially to get the household chores done!* Also having a product that is easy to maintain, is light weight and can be fixed at little or no cost is fantastic! I bought an Oreck Vacuum in 2002. It's a great, well made vacuum cleaner. I've had a complimentary annual service every year since. The Oreck name was bought out and this store is rebranded as Dave's Vacuums (after Dave Oreck). The service is better than ever. The young man that helped me was very courteous and helpful. this place is a scam. i took my bissell carpet cleaner in there for repair. i was told by the guy he would have it fixed in 2 weeks. i did not get called bac soi tried called them and no one answered for another week. i went down there and the same guy said he could not fix my carpet cleaner. when i got home the watrer tank cap was missing on the water tank.i called him and he hung uo on me. this part is discontinued on the bissell carpet cleaner so now i know why he took it. read more

Earlier this afternoon, (July, 23, 2019) I sent my mother into the Oreck Store to have my Oreck serviced. Tom was the name of the gentleman who assisted my mom. Tom did not say hello or greet my mother, instead, was very impersonal and unhelpful with my mother. My mom proceeded to tell Tom that she was dropping off my vacuum to be serviced. When she put me on the phone with Tom, he was just as rude and unhelpful with me as he was with my mother. He asked "What's wrong with your vacuum?" I replied, "I just need it serviced." He literally said nothing, I then said, "You do service Oreck's correct?" Tom then said yes. Tom's morose attitude continued as I gave my information and then quoted me a 10 - 15 days turn around time after I had asked him for it. He did not say, "Thank you" or "Have a nice day" he just hung up. I asked my mom if he had an attitude and she said he was unhelpful to her as well. After I got of the phone, Tom said to my mother, "I don't know where the town of Laveen is at." Then immediately asked my mom rather dismissively, "Why didn't he take it to the one in Glendale or Chandler?" Thus appearing to be inconvenienced by my request to have our Orecked serviced at that location. To sum it up, Tom was quite rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. He gave my mother and I terrible customer service. For an expensive vacuum brand such as Oreck, that has built it's name off of it's customer service, this was a terrible experience. An experience I will be keeping in mind when I shop for a new vacuum cleaner and I would advice all those who read this review to do the same. read more

Customer service is everything and they are indifferent at a three week turnaround and could care less if you walk out the door pissed off.

Brought a WORKING vacuum in for repair that need a replacement plastic part that cracked. They couldn't get the part, never called to tell me. I had to call them to get a status update. Went out of town on business and my wife picked the vacuum up and got the REALLY HARD SELL on one of their 1K+$ vacuums. Are you insane!? Come to find out the vacuum now doesn't work. This place is terrible. My guess is they didn't try hard to fix it, broke the mechanics while on the bench in the hopes we would buy one their incredibly overpriced Orecks. A MUST TO AVOID! read more

Great vacuum. I used to have to buy a new vacuum every year or two, because they would break...finally decided to spend more in hopes of it lasting longer. I've had mine for almost 7 years and it still works great. Anytime I have any questions or issues, they tell me to bring it in, and they look at it for me free of charge. Completely awful is all I can say. We dropped our vacuumed off to get cleaned on 6/11. They said it would take 2 weeks to get maintenanced. We went to see if it ready on 6/29 which was 2 days from being ready and the guy was so rude saying it's two day in advanced from being done and he was going to get it done that day and it would be ready in 2 days. We went on vacation on 7/1 for 2 weeks and when we came back we tried picking it up on 7/16 and they still did not do it. So my dad wanted to pick it up anyways and take it somewhere else because they had it for over a month and the guy on the phone was very rude to my dad and said he was going to do it that day but they said that over two weeks ago...the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I went in to this store 2yrs ago and bought a Oreck steamer. I paid close to $200.00 for it. I was told I can bring it in and have it service if I had a problem with it. So I take it in because I was having a problem with it and they tell me. The way it was made, they can not fix it. You spend all this money for a steamer and they can't fix it. The manager told she will sell me another one for the last sale price. On the front door they have a sign that says.. Our customers our sales people...So why would I want to recommend this steamer to anyone. So if anyone is looking in to buying this steamer, think twice.. read more
