Pedicures are good. I've got them by three different workers. I usually forget to make an appointment and walk-ins work for me. I think the longest I have waited was maybe 15min. I did have a manicure once with gel and the paint chipped the next day. I don't know if that is normal bcuz I usually only have my toes done and I do work with my hands, but thought it should be something for a new customer to know. One thing I do like in comparison to the other shops I have gone to is that the workers do speak English and even with an accent, it isn't hard to understand them so conversation is possible. It's not just that awkward hour long silence like I know most of us have had before. Parking is plentiful. The salon has always been clean. Mimi is really friendly and appreciates the business. I have been coming here almost three years. I have a relationship with them now. The staff is talented. They work very hard and they keep their implements sterile. I have never had any reaction or infection ever. I get pedicures mostly. They last a long time. If you want a touch up they will cheerfully do it which is what I did yesterday. A BIG FAT ZERO STARS...Worst experience EVER at a nail salon. I scheduled a deluxe pedi and 45 minutes later the nail tech was done. I asked, "Hey, was that the deluxe?" she said no, it's the basic. Due to the fact that she and I had been going back and forth about the nail color (long story short: I wanted a French pedi and she told me that my toenails were too dark. I told her that a French pedi is my standard for a pedi.). I also, broke a toenail a few weeks back and requested an acrylic overlay. The acrylic nail was sticking straight up off the nail bed. She was going to leave it that way until I asked her to trim the nail. It still looked horrible!!!!!! She then began to act as if she didn't understand what I was saying. So to avoid further frustration from the both of us, I said, okay fine, just paint my nails white. Now back to the deluxe pedi. She began to dry my feet to prep for polish. I then asked, "Are you done?", she said, "Yes". I said but I requested a deluxe, she said that I did not make that request. Honestly, at this point, I was so over the poor customer service that I wouldn't even trust her to do a great job anyway. I said to both my tech and the manager/owner, hey there other 3 ladies that are here have all been asked what type of pedi they want. I know this bc I saw each of them being handed the "menu" with the list of services by the manager and at least one other tech. After she said , that I didn't request a pedi. I said, ok, if I didn't ask for a deluxe, at what point did you hear me ask for a basic pedi? At this point she couldn't understand what I was saying AGAIN. So convenient for her. I also asked, why wasn't I asked what I preferred; why would she just assume? This question was posed to the manager/owner. She said, "I'm sorry, it must have been a miscommunication." I said, she simply did not provide efficient customer service. I was very clear and she was assumptive instead of confirming what I wanted. I told the manager/owner that I was not going to continue being treated poorly, Do I requested the bill, paid for the shitty service and went to another salon to get a deluxe pedi. Which is where I am at the time of this post. While at the current salon, it took two techs to repair the damage she did on my broken toenail. Nevertheless, the new salon did a STELLAR job. I never really write reviews but I would hate for folks to waste their money coming here. I came in for a simple fill which list price showed $15 as she was "filling" my nails she started popping some of them off by force and said they would need to be replaced. No problem, until the shaping of the nails started & I realized this lady needed to go back to school! Completely misshaped & when it came to the polish the aftermath looked as if I painted my own nails with my left hand. She cleaned up the edges with acetone but still left my cuticles pink from the left over nail polish. And when it came time to pay she charged me $20, if that were the case I would've popped off all of my other nails and got a fresh set since a new full set was $20. I started going to My Nails in January 2015 - a co-worker gets her nails done here, and she recommended it. The girls do an EXCELLENT job! I love it here! It's $30 for Mani-Pedi combo, and they are spending a full 2 hours on you - you definitely get your money's worth. The staff is sweet, and they are absolute perfectionists......you will not leave until your hands and feet are perfect. I LOVE LISA!....but everyone is good. I have to admit, I spend a lot of time (and almost every weekend) out of town, and I've been tempted to go elsewhere for convenience, but I haven't been able to do it! Pedicures last for 3-4 weeks, and I get a regular manicure every 2 weeks. I might possibly give them 4.5 stars because the last few times, they've been busy and I had to wait longer than I wanted (and I had an appointment), but I am going back today, and will let you know if they see me on time. I've been on the look out for a good nail salon for a while, since I'm freaking lazy and I've been refusing to do my own nail polish with the excuse of not having enough time :) and after trying a few different top rated nail salons, and being disappointed many many times it finally looks like I have found what I been looking for at this little nail salon. The PROS: Staff is super friendly and they have A LOT of different gel nail polish colors to choose from, not just a few like at the other salons I have been to, I'm talking about probably over 25 different colors :). The girls here do a great job with your nails they always come out shining and the polish lasts for a little over 3 weeks no chipping whatsoever :). The pedicure includes an AWESOME FOOD MASSAGE I'm not sure how long the massage lasts but it looks like is over 30 min. :). The manicure includes a hand massage as well but this one is really quick :(. The CONS: As with all the other nail salons this one gets freaking busy, so come on early, also manicures are expensive but since I can get over my laziness I would have to pay the price to have awesome looking nails LOL. I had a very awful experience with this place. I got a fill and acrylic on my toes. All clear no color cause I was gonna paint them myself. Well in she made me bleed really bad on my foot and instead of leaving it alone she kept filling making it worse. And then my fill was all lumpy and uneven and she made them so thin. I was so pissed off with my shellac nail application yesterday (friday) that I was desperate to get an appointment today, knowing that today's saturday and everyone should be booked up. Took my chances and called this place at 9:30am. Asked them if they could change my crappy nails today and they gladly said yes and to come in at my preferred time. I was so happy. I set up an appointment at 11am. Everyone was so friendly. Lisa was the one who did my nails and let me tell you, she's a perfectionist! I don't complain even when I need to, but expect me not to come back if I ever receive bad service. She has exceeded my expectations. She replaced my shellac nails and she took a good hour and a half on me. She made sure that everything was done perfectly. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she was able to replicate it. She had trouble removing my crappy ones, 5 layers aint easy. Everyone was telling me it was made too thick and it was so uneven with rough edges and I got cuts on both my fingernails and toe nails. Anyway, she was really careful not to cut too much but she was still able to get a lot off, even after getting my mani yesterday. She was so precise and made sure I was happy with her work. She has now become my favorite nail gal, never going anywhere else! If you're OCD with your nails, go see Lisa! read more

Just went to this nail shop to get my sisters nail fixed because it popped off after 1 day! When I went to pay the lady asked me to see my id. Now I would not have seen anything to be wrong with that other than the fact that the two ladies that paid before me paid with card and weren't asked to see their Id to confirm the card was theirs. I feel like I was targeted because I am a young black female. I won't be coming back here and neither will my family.
