I had a very upsetting and painful experience here. The nail tech told me I had an "ingrown toenail," which I did not. She proceeded to cut into my actual toenail and also cut my skin, causing it to bleed. She also left a small piece of nail embedded in the side of my skin. Although she cleaned it and sprayed something on it (I believe alcohol), the damage was already done. The next day, my toe was still bleeding and extremely painful. I had to go to another nail technician to have it checked, and she was the one who found and removed the small piece of nail that had been left inside my skin. I still had to pay full price for my pedicure despite the injury. I wear closed-toe shoes for work, and the pain made it very difficult for me to get through my shifts. It has now been two weeks, and my toe is still healing. This situation was completely avoidable and very concerning. The nail tech who cut me is an Asian woman about 5'0 with black hair/ front bangs. Angel did my gel builder manicure and I specifically told her 3 times that I needed another coat of gel builder because I felt like my nails were too thin and felt vulnerable to breaking. She kept going instead of adding an additional layer even though I asked her 3 times. She also did not buffer the nail after putting the gel so they're not smooth. I decided to get my toes done with my cousin at around 5pm on a Tuesday. The shop was fairly empty, so we got serviced right away. I decided to go with the Dila Pedicure and gel polish and had my toes done by one of the taller men. He was accommodating when I asked to cool the water down. However, unlike other nail salons that take their time, the pedicure was done within 20 minutes -- from start to finish. I was charged $42 and the end result was something I did not expect at all from someone who has gotten serviced from Dila before. I saw polish on my skin on multiple toes once I arrived home and immediately knew the pedicure was not going to last as long gel should last. The next day, my cousin and I went back and I had asked them to fix my pinky and ring toe on my left foot (pictured). They were kind enough to sit me down and service me, but I left with clean polish and cut cuticles. Because a lot of the toes looked very similar to the ones I had asked him to fix, the nail tech ended up filing all of the polish off from the first visit to repaint my toes. To make sure the polish was clean and off my skin after curing, my nail tech filed the sides down. However, the file he used was definitely not clean and was too rough to the point where skin was cut and it stung every time my nail was filed. The polish looks a lot better than the day before and I am very grateful they chose to fix it, but I do think that thoroughness and sanitization is definitely necessary in nail salons -- which is something Dila can improve on in the future. read more

I've been coming here for a couple of years on and off, when my regular nail tech elsewhere is booked. Oftentimes than not there is disorganization and inconsistency with booking appointments. Several times I've had my "appointment confirmed" with a specific nail technician. Many times when I arrived they were always servicing someone else during my time slot. I'd either have to wait over 15 minutes after the "confirmed time" or get serviced by someone else. Some of the nail techs here are great at what they do & offer great customer service over the years... While other nail techs are rude and lack customer service. This short chubby man in particular is rude, I do not recommend him as a tech. At one particular visit I asked for a manicure and asked for my cuticles to be trimmed... he stopped filing my nails then, He said "DU MA" which basically means "F*** you" & then sent me over to another nail tech, he did me a favor cos the lady was a lot nicer to me. read more

I went in for a basic mani/Pedi. There was a bunch of employees sitting on the spa chairs on their phones doing nothing. The lady who did my pedicure was aweful. She did not speak English, was rude because I told her I did not want gel. She did not cut my cuticles, file my toenails, scrub my feet, put on the callus remover as the menu states it is included, or put lotion on my feet. She cut my toe when I asked her to clean up the nail polish because she had it everywhere and when I said "ouch" as she cut me and made me bleed she slapped my foot and stated laughing and smiling," yea, that's okay"! they are horrible, more than likely not licensed and completely unprofessional. I went with my friend to get our feet done together three days ago and he cut me with the cuticle cutters and then left a gash in my fourth toe on my left foot. It's been three days and now my fourth toe is completely swollen and infected because the tools were not sanitized in between clients. As well as the customer service was horrible and they couldn't even do a simple French tip on my friend. We had to sit there and fix our own nails because they had such a problem with it. Honestly , some of the ladies that work here are amazing and so is the older man but there are some especially the tall and short man that are terrible . They talk about everyone that comes in through the door , making gestures when a guy asked for a manicure . obviously you can't complain because of their lack of english. I have come here for years on and off with over 14 family members . I am sad to say it probably will not happen anymore . I feel completely uncomfortable and my last experience with the short man was enough. when I went for a refill it had been SIX days after a new set . They started to lift on day five . I asked for a fill and the lady was very kind . I could tell the short guy was not happy ( he was the one that did my nails six days before). when i left , on my way out he didnt look at me and yelled "next time full set for you " . I didn't react but i should have told him - how if he had done his job right I would not have been back . After a week of crazy Covid surge at work, I decided to get pedi and nails done. Pedi was done by Henry; he couldn't speak English now, don't take me wrong, but it was tough to communicate. Also, during my pedi, he cut too deep on the corner edges of my toes; it has a burning sensation ... I brought myself a triple antibiotic to prevent infection. I'm sorry, but his pedi was useless. Loan did an excellent job with my nail "color" and "design," but my issue with her was when I told her I needed a shorter nail to my job requirements, she kept saying I understand ...I understand but guess what? The length is not for my liking because I'm worried I might have to remove it; if my gloves start to rip them, that will be a waste of $66. She's also very rough with her sponge. These technicians work really hard to satisfy a customer. They have complimentary wine and Mimosas y'all! Everyone inside does such a great job On manicures and pedicures. They have so many other services such as Waxing, eyebrows, And also they do eyelashes as well.I thought it was so cute... They even have a chair for young children to have their pedicures done. Based on reviews and photos from Yelp I booked with Hanna on 1/18/19 Upon arrival I was greeted and sat right away. Throughout the process she made me feel comfortable and had small talk with me. I told her what design and style I wanted and she gave me exactly what I asked for. 1 month update 2/27/19 I was shocked that my nails are still holding it together. Please make sure you ask the price of anything and everything before getting any service done here. My cousin and I walked in and asked for a pedicure and an overlay manicure. I ended up choosing the Deluxe Pedicure which was listed for $37. The tech told me my overall total would be $64. I did not want/request a gel pedicure and did not realize that's what I was getting until the tech brought out the UV light. At this point I thought that it was included in the package. Another lady came to start my manicure. I asked if she could do a French Tip and she asked if I wanted to either keep my natural color underneath or put a nude color. I asked if it was an extra charge to add the nude color and she told me it would be the same price, so I opted for the nude color. When my pedicure finished, I moved to the other lady's table (#8) to finish my manicure. She took out tools from her desk that was in packaging, but the packaging was already opened and she dumped all the tools on the bare table area rather than on a clean towel. After finishing the polish, she said that she was going to cut my cuticles now and I said okay, thinking it was just her next step. In the end I was charged $98 and I was confused because I have never paid that much ever at a nail salon and I knew that was not the original quote I was given. I thought maybe they charged me for my cousin's pedicure and it was nearing closing time so I just paid, left a good tip and left. Afterwards I learned that my cousin had already paid for her pedicure and so I was very confused on why I was charged so much. I usually wouldn't return to complain about a service but it was just an absurd price for what I originally wanted. I returned the following day and asked another lady how much it would be for a deluxe pedicure and an overlay manicure. She told me it was $37 for the deluxe pedicure and $36 for overlay. I told her that I was charged $98 for those services. She went on to ask a bunch of questions about my service, adding a bunch of different amounts every time it did not add up to $98. In the end, she explained that it was $37 for deluxe pedicure, $36 for overlay, $10 for the gel on pedicure, $10 for special design, and then $5 for cutting my cuticle. I had to clarify that they charge to cut people's cuticle during a manicure. She told me that I did not get a manicure, I got overlay and cutting my cuticles was an extra service. Mind you, I was never told by any techs that there was an extra charge of any of these services nor did they confirm with me that an extra charge was okay. Every other nail salon I go to, they always let me know that something will cost extra and if I say no, they do not do it. I understand that some things cost extra. What I am not okay with is people doing whatever they want with your nails when it's not what I asked for and then charging an outrageous amount. I didn't ask for a gel pedicure and I was not informed that French tip and cutting my cuticles was a $15 extra charge, otherwise I would have declined. Also, the techs that are not with clients just sit in the pedicure chairs and do whatever: watch on their iPad without headphones, eat their snacks, etc. And not once did I see anyone wipe the chair down or anything when a new client came in for a pedicure. I will not be returning to this place. There are many other salons in Stockton with much better service for a much better price. read more
