My Lan is the closest Vietnamese restaurant to me when I'm in the area, so I decided to check them out. I am so glad I did. I've had a wonderful experience here so far and the flavors have been incredible! Here is my breakdown of what to order and what makes this place stand out: * The Go-To Staples: On my very first visit, I tried the grilled chicken spring rolls and the grilled chicken vermicelli. I've been absolutely hooked ever since! For the most part, that is exactly what I order every single time I come back. * New Favorite: During my most recent visit, I decided to switch it up and try their flat crispy fried chow fun noodles with the combination stir-fry. I really loved it! Really enjoyed our meal at My Lan! The food was authentic, flavorful, and overall a really solid Vietnamese spot. We tried quite a bit and honestly weren't disappointed with anything. We ordered the bánh mì thịt nướng, cơm thịt nướng đặc biệt with chả giò, both the tôm thịt and thịt nướng spring rolls, and of course a Vietnamese iced coffee. The grilled pork had great flavor with that slightly charred, savory-sweet taste you want from thịt nướng. The bánh mì was loaded with meat and fresh cilantro with a nice crusty bread. The cơm đặc biệt was a big plate with plenty of grilled meat, rice, fried egg, and crispy chả giò--definitely a good choice if you're hungry. Both versions of the spring rolls were fresh and good as well. The Vietnamese coffee was strong, sweet, and hit the spot. The restaurant itself was also very clean, including the bathrooms, which is always something I appreciate and definitely adds to the experience. Overall, I'd give My Lan a solid 9/10. Was excited to try something new so we have it try. Walked in, the place was empty but clean and we were immediately greeted. The lady gave us menus and we took a seat to review it. Had some questions and she answered them and we placed a to go order. We ordered a passion fruit tea, egg rolls, Korean bbq, pho and beef and broccoli. The tea was good, sweet yet refreshing. I wish I had gotten some boba in it as I feel like that would have taken it to the next level but none the less, the tea was good. The Korean BBQ had me a little confused. The carrots and cucumber on the side (not dressed, just raw veggies) left a lot to be desired. I got three pieces of short ribs, it was tender and flavorful, however it could have been trimmed a little as mine had quite a bit of fat still on it. What i totally disliked about the meal was the fried rice. It had an off putting taste like the oil it had been cooked in was old. I tried the regular rice to see if it was the rice that tasted off but no, whatever it was fried in or added to it, just left an off putting taste in my mouth. The eggrolls I was told was shrimp and pork. Although fried to a nice crisp, the inside was extremely dry and didn't pack much flavor. You could have told me they were beef, chicken, anything because you couldn't taste anything due to how dry there were. The pho came with A LOT. Bean spouts, mint, noodles, beef, lettuce and more plus a cup of broth that could easily feed more than one person. Was it the best pho we've had, no, but it was still tasty. The beef and broccoli wasn't the crowd pleaser we had hoped for. The broccoli was soggy, the beef wasn't as tender as we have had, and the rice was dry. I went the other day and hesitated on leaving a review but, I wasn't satisfied. I used to come here all the time because it's the closest Vietnamese place and everything was good when it first started. First of all, it's not the cleanest establishment. The man working at the front kept picking at his ear and looking at it, and a different woman went to the bathroom with her gloves on. The floor needs sweeping and it just wasn't fresh-feeling like before. I ordered the egg rolls and two Vietnamese coffees. The coffee bases are always premade and sitting in a cold storage, so they're fast. But I've had it elsewhere fresh and you can taste the difference. The egg rolls were overcooked and usually they are amazing. Maybe I came on a bad day.... I just hope they improve. Personally, I just don't know if it's worth the return. read more

I tried to call ahead but no one answered so we just made our way there to order. Friendly service and we were about to order right when we arrived. We got the Korean BBQ (loved it), Seafood Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, and one of the plates (forgot what exactly my daughter got). The menu is large and will satisfy most tastes, but for me I was so happy to see familiar items on the menu. Inside the new restaurant is clean, modern, and has some impressive large screen TVs inside (this matters to me ). There also appeared to be a drive through window. We ordered take-away chicken pho to enjoy at our hotel. Unfortunately, when we opened the to-go bag, we found that the to-go containers were not meant for eating out. The broth was served in a plastic container and was full to the brim. However, the noodles, basil, and add-ins were served in a flat, tray-like container. Because there wasn't enough space in the broth container to add the noodles, we had to pour the broth into the tray. It was quite an ordeal. Hey Justin, TX! You guys now have a My Lan in your neighborhood! No more having to drive to the Alliance location for good Vietnamese food and boba drinks. Today was their grand opening and we had to go try it out. The new spot is in a shopping strip off FM 156. The space is smaller compared to the Alliance location but beautifully decorated. We came in for a late lunch and the place was poppin! We were lucky to snag a table. No surprise though because everyone knows My Lan is the spot! The menu is the same as the Alliance location so no worries if you have your favorites! And if you are new to My Lan, they have solid pho, rice dishes, vermicelli noodle bowls, and their famous eggrolls to name a few. The boba drinks are spot on especially their Thai teas. I was in the mood for pho and ordered their combination bowl. It was comforting and delicious. Always hits the spot. My friend ordered her usual grilled pork vermicelli noodle bowl and enjoyed it as usual. Of course we had to share an order of eggrolls as well. With any opening day, whether with new or experienced owners, things were a little chaotic. We still got our food in a timely manner and everyone was so friendly. It was just fun to be a part of an exciting new chapter for them. So please pack your patience as they are trying their best. We've visited My Lan at other locations and have always loved it, so when this one opened near my friend's house, we were excited to try it. This was our second visit, and unfortunately, both times the wait staff was quite rude (especially lady named Nikki). The only consistently friendly and helpful person has been the owner. The food is just as good as the other locations, but the service was disappointing. We even had to ask for water while waiting for our food, and when taking our orders, the server rushed us as if we were an inconvenience. Clients make the effort to drive to your business based on the posted hours, so closing early without acknowledgment is disappointing. Ok so we went at 4pm on a weekend. This is a brand new location. The service is still trying to get settled so bring your patience. The place was completely packed and there is not a lot of space to wait. There was only one person taking orders and she was doing the very best she could. The host greeted me and its seat yourself. There was no introduction as to whom was serving me. I ordered the chicken pho and chicken spring rolls. The menu I wish I took a picture of because the format of the menu was confusing to me to understand at first. The spring rolls are amazing! They tasted fresh and the ingredients are so fresh in the rolls. I'd rate the rolls an 8 out 10. I really liked the sauce that came with it. Now the pho; I enjoyed the amount of side ingredients they give you on the side. The ingredients were fresh and crunchy. The noodles for me were breaking when I was grabbing them. So it was making it hard to eat. There were way too many noodles and they seemed to me was over cooked. The pho came out warm and I'm very picky about my chicken. So my flavor palette is different than others. The chicken was a little tough for me to eat. And after a while of eating the pho wasn't as hot and started to have a different taste to it. I'd rate the pho a 5. The waitress did go on break and I didn't ask for a refill on my water. I think there could be a more attentiveness for the customers. This was my first time coming here. Everyone deserves a break though. Maybe I should have relayed that to the worker. I really liked the chicken in the spring rolls and wished I liked the chicken in the pho. Not a bad place overall. We visited My Lan restaurant in Justin earlier this week. I knew the young lady was an owner by the way she served. Confident, loving and passionate about her menu. She asked what questions we had about the menu, not what we wanted, gave us options not on the menu and looked directly into our eyes! I have been going to My Lan in Fort Worth for years. Sadly, we stopped a while back due to a decline in service. I have also visited their South Lake (SL) location. Food was alright in SL but it wasn't as good as the one in Fort Worth. The Justin location delivers the best combination of great service and quality food. They use traditional Vietnamese egg roll wrappers that many other asian restaurants don't, and these are the bombs! The shrimp tofu (tau hu ky) is one of the best I have ever had. Service is friendly and fast. Price is reasonable and the portions are plentiful. Highly recommend them! read more

So excited Justin has a Vietnamese restaurant!! We ate there the night of the grand opening. We had egg rolls, potstickers, house special pork vermicelli bowl, and combo fried rice. It was all fresh, crunchy and delicious! Expected learning curve on expediting the meals, took a minute but I'm sure they are ironing out the details. Food is good! I'm just a little disappointed that the menu isn't the same as the one in Alliance, but I get why that might be. The place is super clean since it's brand new, which is nice. As for the service, I hate to say it, but it's not great. I've been here a handful of times, hoping to give it the benefit of the doubt and thinking they're still working out the kinks since it's new. I went on a Tuesday around 7 PM, and it was half full. It took 12 minutes (I timed it!) to get greeted and offered water. Plus, this is the third time I've been where I didn't get a water refill without asking.
