Very disappointing experience. We spent $80 on sushi alone through Uber Eats (before fees and tip), and the portion sizes were shockingly small. I understand presentation matters, but for that price, the amount of food we received was honestly unacceptable. The photo speaks for itself compared to my hand. What makes this even more frustrating is that I've seen other reviews from this restaurant, and those portions looked completely normal -- so this felt especially misleading. With a one-year-old at home, dining out isn't always realistic, so I was really hoping this would become a convenient local option for us, especially since it's so close. That honestly makes it even more disappointing. I wanted to support a nearby restaurant, but unfortunately I won't be ordering again -- and I definitely won't be recommending it to anyone I know. There are simply much better sushi options at this price point. EDIT** We gave them the chance to make it right, and they chose not to. This was our second time at Kurogi. It is a nice addition to our neighborhood area. We love tuna towers so I am happy they have one. The Midnight Roll and Pink Panther Roll are both made with soy paper, which I really like. I do think soy paper rolls are not as tight, so you have to be careful picking it up. The service is good. The restaurant is sparsely decorated. read more

This is a great chill sushi ramen place to enjoy some yummy food! The staff are extremely kind and quick! The restaurant itself is not very big but it was nice to be able to hear our conversations easily! Lots of Togo orders going out as well from what I could tell! My husband and I wanted to try a new place and found this little treasure! We had the gyoza and crab Rangoons! WOW! The crispiest apps we had in a long time and were very tasty!! Everyone around us was drinking the Mango Green Tea, I ordered it as well and now it's one of my favorites! It comes in a tall cup and you can add boba to it! The sushi was fresh and good as well!!! I had the chicken fried rice and enjoyed it! Hubby had one of the ramen and loved it! We will be back for more! I need more gyoza and mango green tea in my life! read more

I'm reading the reviews and think they may be talking about a different place! Ordered the "squid salad," and got about 5-7 shavings of squid and 85% cucumber/filling. So disappointing. Ordered a few rolls; pink panther, Alaska, and California (kiddo). I thought it was a joke.. these things are the width of my thumb!! I get it, you want to protect margins, but geez. I've been whining to stop here and try their food for some time and tonight was the night. I stopped and order takeout and sat at the bar while I waited for my food. The restaurant was decently busy for Friday night at 6 PM and the service staff was extremely kind. The bartender gave me her recommendations which I did choose one of we ordered the spicy edamame, the spring rolls, the hot mama roll and the deep fried special roll I think is what it was called. The food that came out quickly while I stepped on a beer and then I headed home to share with my significant other. Overall, the food was excellent. The only thing I did not like was the packaging wasn't the greatest and the spicy edamame leaked all over my car on the drive home. Came here for some ramen right before the Super Bowl! The ramen was pretty tasty, and the noodles were cooked perfectly! The chashu was on the dry side, but that seems to happen a lot at other places. This is a great local spot and better than other ramens I've had outside of Dallas and Fort Worth so far. I was there for a quick lunch but the experience I had was freaking amazing. The people in this area have been blessed with a wonderful ramen spot. Hopefully one day I will live in the neighborhood but until then I can drive up here while on lunch or if I'm in the area on the weekend. Excellent ramen I'm used to ordering the tonkatsu at other spots and this place hangs with the best of them. Mr ramen was full of flavor and the broth was the perfect consistency. Service!!! Consistently the worst. We go about once a week. (We hate the traffic getting to other places and Kurogi is less than 5 mins from our home.) There are usually 2-4 workers on their phones. The service is incredibly slow. There is one young man that is amazing and we enjoy it when he is there to wait on is. Everyone else is slow to respond, take your order, refill drinks, get your ticket. What should take 45 mins total could easily be 90 mins- and it has. I just don't understand the service issues here. Food - Food is great!! We have gotten over 50% of their types of sushi, a few bento box's, and a few Poke bowls and it has all tasted very fresh. Service - Service is as expected. Sometimes you are waiting 15min on food but with it all made to order it will take time. The longest we have waited was 25min for enough food for 6 Ambiance - Their dining room isn't very large so during their very busy times you might have to eat outside. Other than that it is clean. Their food is okay but ordering online is super frustrating as the 'Special Instructions' button wasn't working. I ordered regular Tonkotsu ramen which is the same exact price as the spicy version. I always like the chili oil on the side so I can choose how spicy I want so asked for a side of it when I got in there. They still charged me 50 cents for a side which is annoying because if I would have just ordered the Spicy version, the girl said it'd be the same exact thing coming on the side and it'd be the same price. 50 cents isn't a lot but I found it super annoying considering it would have been the same exact thing as if I just did spicy. Not the best first impression so will be sticking to other Ramen spots. read more

Wow... this place is amazing! The sweetheart roll is out of this world, the steak and chicken teriyaki bento box were delicious, the crab Rangoon and gyozas were also very good. All the teas (hot green tea, cold lychee tea, and mango tea) were out of this world. The place is also very quiet which makes it a great dinning experience. We did takeout. We are very neutral on the experience. The Ramen was lacking flavor. I loved the heat on the spicy miso, but I wish it had more flavor balance. The rolls were just okay. The location is close to our home, so for WFH lunches, this is clutch for us. I hope they can resolve this. The service was great. Easy online ordering as well. We did call our order in.
