Fantastic Nepalese/Indian cuisine on Main Street!…read more We stopped by Karma and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is large with a nice bar area and the service was very friendly and efficient! Apps: Chili Momos (Veg) and Gobi Manchurian - the momos were super crispy and the sauce was very spicy in a good way! The Manchurian was so saucy and packed with flavor. Recommend both! Mains: Himalayan Thukpa, Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta - the Thukpa was the highlight! The broth was perfectly salty with a great umami taste. The Malai Kofta was rich and I enjoyed the cheesy koftas. The Palak Paneer was tasty, but I enjoyed the malai and thukpa more! Dessert: Pistachio Cheesecake - delicious! More like a pistachio ice cream cake, but it was so good and not too sweet! Overall, we really enjoyed our meal! Will absolutely be back!

The Himalayan thali was the highlight naan so soft it felt like clouds, and lentil curry that carried deep, cozy flavors. The chowmein with lamb and chicken had that smoky stir-fry kick, and the momos were a joy to try. The butter tikka momos were creamy and rich, while the choila momos with the chef's sauce brought a spicy spark that stayed with me. The drinks matched the season perfectly. The Gurkhas Old Fashioned was smooth with a twist, and the hot rum punch felt like warmth in a glass just right for winter. The place itself was cozy, with a vibe that made me want to linger. Even during busy hours the staff stayed friendly, though the food took a little longer to arrive. Still, the service felt welcoming. Altogether, the mix of food, drinks, and atmosphere made the evening memorable in its own way.

It's not easy to get a five-star from me. I'm jaded…read more The food here is authentic. Every bite was delicious. We had vegetarian dishes, malai kofta and mutter paneer, and they were genuinely surprisingly fabulous. They were cooked freshly, not from a pre-made pot. There are ways you can tell if it's really fresh. There are a lot of selections, and they're about 10%+ higher than the small university town we live in, and worth every darn dime. I'm seldom completely delighted, and the food here was great. The restaurant wasn't crowded on Wednesday-- and they should be. The cook is priceless. Give him/her/they a raise! I wish this wasn't my first time, or I'd recommend it without hesitation-- it was really, really good, and I'm a harsh critic. This was for dinner, and we have no experience with the buffet.

I was in the area and was looking for a good Indian restaurant and tried this place on a whim and I…read morewas very pleased! They give a daily soup during lunch, today was a vegetable corn soup. It was delicious, with good flavors without being too spicy. In fact the soup was so good that I decided to order their samosa as appetizer. The samosa's were also excellent, so many good flavors. It was served with a chutney sauce and another type of sauce. As the main entree I wanted to try something different than the typical Indian dishes that are the most common in the USA I ordered a vegetarian dish called Navratan Koorma. It's a mix of different vegetables in a creamy cashew sauce with rice and Naan bread. It was good and flavorful. The naan was bread was amazing, I've been to a few other restaurants in the area that have really unflavorful bread so this was nice. I was pretty full at the moment but felt like trying one dessert to have tried something from all parts of their menu and ordered Gulab Jamoon. An old classic, it was very good as well. It was slightly warm and freshly made and was a perfect end to the meal. The service was excellent throughout, the server gave me updates when one of the dishes were close to being ready. I thought the presentation was also very nice. I will definitely keep this restaurance in place next time I'm in the area.
