We had a sudden urge to enjoy some delicious Indian Food so we stopped into Indian Chilli and had a great time! We had the Dosa Masala and both the Dosa and the filling were excellent. Taste was great and the food was nice and hot. We also had the butter chicken which was well prepared and spiced just right. We did also enjoy the Chicken 65 and the managed the exact level of spice I was hoping for. Enough to get a bit of sweat but still allow you to enjoy the food. The Naan we got to accompany was flavorful and a good enhancement to the meal. I do somewhat agree with the other reviewers that the menu could be a lot more useful. I really wish that there were descriptions for all the items for those of us less educated on the cuisine. I feel like I may be missing out on some good stuff just because I don't know what the items are! Service was slow with no care or attention. The food was worse. I'm vegetarian and ordered butter paneer it tasted like tomato soup. Chicken Masala arrived kinda of warm (but that of course could've been due to other deliveries) you could really taste the Indian curry in it and it had a sweetness to it. It wasn't too bad, just not what I'm use to. I like the spicy taste and not as much curry. Rice was just that rice, fluffy and cooked well. Not over done. Not bad at all mixed well with the tikka masala. The garlic naan I'm so sad about it was thin and kind of hard. Like it was old or whoever cooked it just didn't know how. Was quite disappointed on our last visit! Biryani with medium spice level was super spicy, my friend could not even eat it. Aloo paratha was naan stuffed with boiled potatoes with no seasoning what-so-ever and onion kulcha was naan stuffed with raw onion, again no spices or seasoning! Stopped by Indian Chilli with a colleague while in town for work and I'm so glad that we did! We got there late for lunch and the staff was more than happy to have us come in and get comfortable even though it was close to their afternoon closing time. The food was plentiful and the flavors were incredible!! If I didn't have a flight out the next day I would happily have boxed up every crumb to take into the office for lunch the next day. Although we requested the same spice level for each dish, the Palak Paneer came out too spicy my toddler could not eat it. I will not give up on this place. Inconsistency is an issue, though. The first time we ordered (takeout) from here, the food was delicious; well seasoned, spicy, good portions. It certainly rivaled our usual go-to up in Highland Village (Delhi6) but with less than half the wait time. It was exciting to have the another delicious Indian food place right here in town that could appease our cravings without the wait times and order pick-up chaos of D6. This time, however, while exactly the same as the first order (chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan), was very bland. The rice wasn't seasoned, the dishes were so un-spicy it was like tomato soup with chicken chunks in it (we ordered medium spice). The portions (each for the price of 13.99) were extremely small and overall it was an "okay, but probably not ordering from there again" level experience. The garlic naan was the only thing that halfway saved the experience; it was wonderful and added much needed seasoning to the main dishes. 4 stars for convenience of ordering, order completion time and the garlic naan. -1 star for bland food and inconsistent seasoning/spice quality. I like this place, I want it to succeed. Consistency is key, though, to repeat business. The price needs to be worth it EVERY time. read more

This restaurant is tucked inside a small suburban plaza in Flower Mound and is close to the newly opened Chipotle. The interior of the restaurant has a decent amount of seating and the booths are very plush. It has very warm and welcoming lighting, and the staff here are very friendly! My girlfriend and I usually come here when we're craving Indian food, and every time, Urban Tadka delivers. We typically order the chicken pakora and the goat curry, both of which are reasonably priced and taste amazing! The chicken pakora is very crispy and juicy. It is a tad spicy due to the Indian spices, but pairs well with the green mint sauce that they provide. In regards to the goat curry, it comes in a small tin bowl, but it's very filling. The goat curry is well seasoned and they provide generous portions of goat meat. The goat meat is very tender and flavorful. Also, the goat curry comes with a side of naan, which is very warm and buttery. Overall, if you're in Flower Mound and craving some high quality and great priced Indian food, then come to Urban Tadka for an excellent dining experience! read more

The lamb biryani is the best thing in the menu, and it is so flavorful and spicy ( even when asking for medium) I have had my whole family fall in love with it. The butter chicken and tikka masala taste pretty similar but both are delicious! The chili paneer is also a must order because it is perfectly sweet and spicy and makes a perfect side to any of their dishes. So here is how I would rank those dishes from best to worst: - The naan bread was my favorite. Each of the different flavors was delicious. - The chicken biryani was seasoned well. The presentation was also nice. - The samosas were ok but a slight bit too salty. - The chicken shahi korma unfortunately left something to be desired. It was so, so mild compared to every other version I have ever tried. I was expecting at least a little heat which just wasn't there. Was looking for a local Indian restaurant and I now have found my favorite place. This is a cute small restaurant. It is clean and the people are friendly. We had the Onion Stuffed Mirchi Bhajji. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as we're used to and it was much more expensive. There's ample seating options and the restaurant is very clean. We started with an order of samosas and were surprised to find cheese in them as it wasn't something we had experienced before. They were ok but I didn't care for the cheese and we're hoping that they would be more spicy. I got the chicken vindaloo which also wasn't very spicy either unfortunately. They have pictures of the food with naan but there was not naan in my order and I had to sit in my car and order online again. We like this place for the food but it's the customer service where some work needs to be done. The food is awesome and flavorful and it's authentic North Indian food at both the locations. We like the paneer pakoras, daal makhani, chole, paneer kadai, chole bhature and paranthas. Lately we have noticed that every time we go and ask for chole bhature on the weekends, the servers response is very blunt and always say "fryer is busy". After months of searching for a new Indian restaurant, I've finally found a place that satisfies my curry craving! This is a beautifully decorated restaurant, you'll almost forget you're in the suburbs of Flower Mound. The staff is super friendly and attentive. My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken pakora which was so flavorful and juicy. I wanted to try out the well known chicken tikka masala which had a very creamy curry base and large chunks of chicken. We absolutely LOVE the goat curry! It was the right amount of spicy at the medium level with plentiful tender pieces of meat. Went perfectly with the garlic naan. Lemme tell you, it is very easy to over order here. Their portions are massive! For the vegetarians, you can't go wrong with the paneer saag! A perfect balance of creamy and texture. I was pleasantly surprised at their honoring my request for less chicken and more gravy in my CTM order as so many other places fail at that request . We always rate Indian food based on the chicken tiki masala. Loved how hot and fresh it was. The mild is more like a medium, be ready for a kick. The actual dish was super hot, fresh, had a hue of cinnamon and was good, but very tomato forward and we aren't that fond of that.
