Ah yes! Finally found an Indian cuisine restaurant reminiscent of the ones I frequented when I lived on the east coast! The food here was excellent. The spices were spot on for the dishes we ordered (goat curry, lamb korma, chicken tikka). Our favorite was the lamb korma. I have tried a few Indian food places since moving to Dallas and none ever measured up to the authentic ones I usually ate at while living on the east coast. This place exceeded my expectations! Service was good. The food took a while to get to us but I think it's because they were preparing everything from scratch. We didn't mind since everything tasted really good! Prices were a little on the high side for the portions served. I expected to have left overs for the price we paid (Too much sauce left over and not enough meat in the dishes!). For that I removed a star rating. Despite that, the taste of the food and ambiance of the restaurant were both good. read more

We drove here from out of Flower Mound looking for authentic & clean Indian food. Ordered lamb korma, reshmi chicken, & missi roti. Lamb korma was generous portion, we consumed the entire bowl; came with butter naan that was not too dry. Missi roti was a tad bit dry but flavorful, not salty. Reshmi chicken was flavorful from the grilling and onions but absolutely no salt, we wonder if they forgot the sauce...? The chicken was very tender though. The reshmi chicken came with a scoop of biryani, cabbage. Overall, the waiters were friendly & respectful; everything felt authentic, taste was not heavily salted. Horrible experience! I bought several appetizers, a main course and dessert. The Chicken curry uses dark meat and was not flavorful. I asked for it to be exchanged , the manager came back and stated they would give me the other order but could not take this one back to their kitchen . We asked for it to be thrown away several Times but he sat it down. We left it where it was. They brought out the exchange meal. And when the bill came they charged for both and refused to remove it. Very honest place and employees. We have been given the wrong food dishes from pickup. What surprised us was they called and admitted the mistake and drove 30 minutes paying tolls all the way from flower mound to Frisco to deliver the food. We hoped we had prepared the tips for it as we weren't really prepared they would deliver this far to correct the mistakes. Next time will do when ordering again. Always consistently great authentic Indian food. Our favorites are the Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan bread. We recommend a spice level of 4 or 5 if you like a little kick. The staff are always very polite and friendly. This is the best Indian food in DFW as far as I know. It is right up there with Bay Leaf in Baton Rouge! We have been to this restaurant two times and tried different dishes on each visit. We have not been disappointed with anything. I am not a vegetarian, but i have to say that two of my favorite dishes were the vegetarian rice and mutter paneer. We also like the standard goto for us, the tandoori chicken. Very flavorful dishes, with welcoming and polite service. My wife and I dined in this restaurant twice in the past couple weeks, finding consistency with preparation, flavor and presentation. I'm not qualified to verify their ability to hit a mark as "South Indian Cuisine", but I can say that Indian Chili is our favorite Indian restaurant. We enjoyed Chicken Tikka Kebab, Dal Tadka, Okra Fry, with Garlic Naan (all mild spice) which was insanely flavorful. From two visits we have found the food wonderful, service pleasant, and the environment clean. I might have rated this restaurant with three stars if not for the fact that twice over the past six months or so, I called and asked the same question, "Did your restaurant change ownership (no), will the dishes I used to order be the same (yes), exactly the same (yes)?" I visited the restaurant a couple days ago and clearly changes have been made. First, plates, glasses, and serving ware have changed. Next, the actual food is prepared differently, and not quite as good. It's a Friday at lunchtime and we stopped in to check out this new restaurant. I am glad we did. First, the staff and ambience are excellent. They have special lunch menus that offer about 10-15 items to choose from which changes everyday. You order 2 plus a rice bowl or naan bowl. The staff was very helpful for the few dishes we were unfamiliar with. We ordered separate items, one rice and one naan basket. Everything came out perfect.
