Purchased a 75 minute full-body massage on groupon for $39. It was difficult to make an appointment because they were always booked 2 weeks out. Once I finally got an appointment, upon arriving I saw that their "full-price" was definitely not $70 as advertised on groupon. This is a Chinese foot massage place. The first thing they did when I walked in was try to sell me a package deal. So much for relaxing. Not a good idea to try and sell a new customer some more stuff when they haven't even tried out your services yet. The massage itself was also disappointing. Just got rubbed with oil for an hour. No pressure. Sloppy. Will never return. read more

Thank you Frank and Mary for officially making this my go to place for Foot Reflexology and cheap deep tissue massages. One of the main reasons I love this place is the fact that they are not afraid to prod and roll out my glutes and hips. I strength train 5 days a week and after a full leg workout, having someone who knows that if my lower back hurts, massaging the connecting muscles to my back will alleviate my tension (which will include my butt mucles, hamstrings, hip flexors and calves). Both of the massages I've recieved from Mary and Frank have been firm to deep tissue, the way I prefer my sports massages to be. NOTE: this place isn't like most Day Spa's. They will most likely not ask you where you are not comfortable being touched. If you are a female and do not like being touched anywhere on the chest or butt, OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND TELL THEM before recieving your massage. Use your words before you feel you are being "inappropriately" fondled. I had my first massage at this spa with Frank, one of the only male massage therapists at My Head 2 Toe, and he was completely professional. He got the job done as efficiently and my recovery time was cut in half because of him. My second massage this afternoon with Mary sealed the deal for me. Love this place. read more

Oh dear, I really hate to rate this place two stars but I have to be honest. My therapist had almost zero talent or skill has a massage therapist. She tried hard so I have to give her credit. I asked for firm pressure and I thought she was going to snap my neck. Also, instead of gently placing the wash cloth across my eyes while I was lying face up, she practically threw it across the room at me. It ended up covering my entire face, nose included. I had to adjust it myself so I could breath. Granted, I realize this is not the Montage or the Four Seasons. This is a bare bones, dirt cheap Asian massage place but I have really had so much better, even at the dirt cheap places. The sheets and towels they used looked like they were at least 10 years old, thin and practically see through, but my issues are not even with that, they are with the skill of the therapist. How can somebody not have any sort of "game" when is comes to massage? Was I her first customer...EVER???? My foot massage was the worst & I was really looking forward to it. How can a foot massage be annoying and not relaxing anyway? Ugh, I was just waiting for it to be over. She pulled on my toes as if she wanted to snap them off my feet! Same thing when she was massaging my hands, she pulled on my fingers like she wanted to pull them off my hands! She was a little better when she was massaging my back. She used deep pressure which I like and she loosened me up. My next issue is when I went to pay. I had already bought a Groupon so my massage was paid for. There is a big sign out front announcing that "Living Social and Groupon customers should tip 20% on the FULL regular amount". No problem, I ALWAYS do that anyway. No matter if the massage was craap, she was working hard and she deserved 20%. When I went to sign my credit card slip, I noticed the guy at the front had added one dollar more to the amount I told him I wanted to tip. I asked him about it and he said "Oh, that's for our our credit card processing fee". OK, but If I had known this, I would have tipped in cash. I HATE to be nickle and dimed!!! They should post this policy out front like they post the "tip 20% on the FULL amount" sign out front. I won't return here. read more

First and last. If I had known I was going to pay to get beaten I would have turned away. The older lady that checked us in had us wait while she finished her personal call outside. Then when she finally made her way inn she said 3 massages $40 each. One of us had a groupon and she argued and said we could not use it even though we paid $40 for the same thing. She was rude and could not speak English. Then she kept telling us to go back and forth to two different seating areas. ( she created someone else and go before us even though we had 1:30 appointment). Then she ask us to pay for the service before even having it done. We finally were set up in the room and once there they asked us to disrobe and cover our self with a cloth that was folded on the table. Once the massage started they walk in with plastic bucket with warm water and sticks our feet in it. ( so awkward and uncomfortable) I should have walked out then. Because it doesn't get better afterwards. These people are not licensed massage therapist. You are better off throwing yourself to the floor. Just unprofessional and the only thing they wanted was a tip and will follow you out until you give it to them. We all gave them a tip but they chased people out asking "tip tip tip" read more

I went in Wednesday because my girlfriend and I bought the groupon for sale 75 min & foot bath for $25. Foot bath? They just put a bucket of god knows what when you're laying down. They're massaging your head when your knees are bent and uncomfortable soaking. You cannot enjoy yourself. After they leave you for a loooong time which cuts into your time. They leave about 5 times out of the room. When they finished they didn't even excuse themselves and just leave you there. My friend and I were like "uhhh are they coming back or are they done?" I was so sore but not in a good way. I did not enjoy the massage. She had no rhythm or any organization on how she massaged. I do NOT recommend even if there is a $25 groupon for this joint... read more

The WORST massage I have ever gotten in my life. I wasted 75 minutes of my life that I will never get back. I bought a Groupon for this establishment for my Bf and I. Making an appointment was easy, check in process was smooth, the room was the just the right ambiance and the music was just right. Then came in the "masseuse". They came in with a bucket full of water and placed it on top of the bed and sunk my feet in. It was so uncomfortable. While my feet were soaking, they started with a head and arm massage, then my feet and legs. There was no pressure nor did it seem like they knew what they were doing. It felt like they were making it up as they went. LITERALLY they were only rubbing oil on my body with no pressure what so ever. When it came time for my back massage, I thought she was going to break my back. She got on top of the massage bed and straddled me to "massage" my back. The entire 75 minutes I was so annoyed and upset. I COULD NOT WAIT TO LEAVE. My BF complained about the exact same thing. They also kept leaving for few minutes at least 4 times. Please don't waste your precious time or money here. read more

Came here last minute with the boyfriend and it was a pleasant surprise. $25/hr for a full body massage is a pretty decent deal. They placed us in a private room and the ladies were very sweet. Most of the massaging was good, but their were times when it was painful that I had to ask my masseuse to be more gentle. I thought this place was OK as they staff was very friendly and my boyfriend enjoyed his massage. The only thing that bothers me is that in reading the reviews after my massage, I was kind of appalled on how the owner interacts with his unsatisfied customers. Given that some of these reviews were a bit mean and unreasonable, I still find it a huge turn off to see the owner stooping just as low by responding with some negative feedback. The experience was decent, but I don't think we will be coming back. read more

Run in the other direction! But, if you somehow end up parked in front debating whether or not to go in - just visit the Sally Beauty supply downstairs and buy your own supplies. You will save money and you wont feel like a dirty rag afterwards. Went in for a private massage. I requested a female when I scheduled my appointment. I got a man. I bit the bullet and went for it, my neck had been hurting all week and I was getting desperate. This is how it went: Burping, hands that smelled like rotten food (please don't touch my face, please don't touch my face), yawning. He left the room several times as well. I got home and immediately took a shower. Gross. Sigh. You get what you pay for. read more

I was there last night for a groupon I purchased. As a massage envy regular, I wanted to give other places a chance. Pros: I called Friday afternoon, was able to get a Sunday night appointment. My massage was very good. Good for the price, wouldn't pay more than that, though Cons: No intake done, none whatsoever. No one asked what I was having issues with, no one bothered to find out if I had issues that they should look out for. Kind of alarming. Water in the "milk bath" got cold real quick. Massage started almost 10 minutes late. I did not receive a full 75 minute massage, especially with my masseuse leaving the room at least three times for towels, water, and more towels. My masseuse never even gave me her name, but was front and center when it was time to be tipped. I thought she gave a great massage, but the ambiance was just to creepy. Door cracked open, too much noise, her saying two words to me the entire time. There was a room full of people (men?) on the way out that were getting massages lined up next to each other. My masseuse was acting really pissed that this was her job. Whacking towels around and sighing a lot. I never asked for anything, never uttered a word other than Hello, so I think she just hates her job. read more

I have had a bad lower back spiratically for most of my life. When it starts to get bad My Head 2 Toe in Costa Mesa is where I go! They do a great job and offer both reflexology or spa massages. You can do either private room or a shared room session. To those unfamiliar make sure if you are wanting a relaxation massage you ask for full body spa massage. I think this is more of a swedish style massage for stress relief and relaxation. This type of massage you normally do with no clothing and a sheet covering you in a private room. I read a gentleman complain in another review who obviously ordered a reflexology massage which in my opinion is more of a preventative body maintenance for your health than a stress reliever. Reflexology is a science related technique where they put a lot of pressure on points of your body to assist other areas of your body. For example pressing on a certain part of my foot may help my back. Reflexology is normally done with loose fitting clothing on and in a shared room. I recommend wearing shorts and possibly sandals as they will soak your feet prior to beginning. My recommendation is to call in advance to make an appointment. On ocassion they can be found on Groupon but I don't mind paying regular price either they are worth it! The entire place is kept clean and I always feel welcome here. They are conveniently located on the second floor above Sallys Beauty Supply in the Kmart Shopping Plaza. read more

My review reflects my opinion of this place, that it is average. I got a Groupon and did a couples massage with my girlfriend, the price was fantastic and they put us in the same room, but I am a massage therapist and I got a very lousy massage. The ladies also left the room for much longer than needed, about 5 minutes on 3 different times and we were receiving a 75-minute treatment that I don't think quite reached even a full hour of hands-on time. Cruise down to Garden Grove for a better massage at a better price, Palm Tree Massage is $15 for an hour to have your feet massaged, or Happy Feet is $20 for an hour. The truth is you don't want to let them work on your whole body and especially not deep tissue work at these asian places where they have only learned a routine and do not have licenses to massage or understand anatomy and their work thoroughly. I hope this was helpful! read more

Absolutely worst massage I have ever had in my life! When I bought 2 Groupon massages to be shared between myself and my girlfriend, I never would have thought I would need to have 2 doctor visits shortly after for the damage the so called "masseuse" caused to both of my shoulders. My girlfriend had used her coupon first a month prior and had also complained of discomfort but I didnt take her as seriously as I should have. Here I am now almost 3 weeks later writing a review to hopefully warn others not to use this service. Luckily I have medical insurance, but I have still paid more than the Groupon itself in 3 Dr. visits and 2 different sets of prescriptions. DO NOT GO HERE read more

I got a 75-minute massage as a gift and it was actually the best gift I've ever recieved! Viki was my massage therapist, she has magical hands! I wish I could lay down on that bed forever! The place is clean and quiet and their choice of light music is good.the massage oil she used smelled great. Just don't forget to have cash for the tip :) read more

Bought a Groupon. That was a terrible decision, they've tried to rip me off afterwards, harassing for tips. Won't be back here again!

My Head 2 Toe Massage Place My boyfriend surprised me with a massage here a few months ago. It was our first time getting a massage. Walking in kinda seemed like a doctors office, but the waiting area looked pretty zen with the bamboo plant, the Buddha waterfall, and oriental chairs. They brought us in right away (we were the first customers of the day) and took us to a room with two massage beds. The only things she told us was "take off" "towel" "face up" then closed the door. Since it was our first time we had no idea what we had to do. They walked in & laughed because we had no idea how to wear the towels. They fixed us and put our feet in relaxing warm water then went straight to it. They really live up to their name- My head 2 Toe. They really started from my head town to my toes First, they started with our face and head. She utilized every part of her hands for the different pressure parts in your face, head, and back of your neck. From the start, I felt the tingling sensation of relaxation throughout my body. They do every single little crevice of your body making you feel so relaxed when you leave. I highly recommend this place! I don't know why there are such bad reviews.. They do their best & if you say it hurts, then I guess you can't handle. Tips: -girls don't wear makeup bc they do massage your face - go in the morning when it's not busy -bring cash for tip after read more

I bought a Groupon for a 75-minute massage as a birthday present to myself but was very disappointed. I get massages often and this was the most bizarre experience I've ever had. The woman at the front desk was rude; she didn't even attempt to make me feel comfortable, nor did she warn me that I was getting a male masseuse (would have preferred female). I think she was upset that I had booked the last time slot and they just wanted to go home--I was also a little late, but only by 5 minutes. The massage itself would have been good but my masseuse was extremely unprofessional. He was sitting on the treatment table, breathing in my face, constantly sniffling and scratching his nose, and he would not stop burping! He left the room every 15 minutes, which counted as part of my treatment time, and he would be gone so long I kept questioning if he was coming back. Another employee stood right outside my room and also kept sniffling and burping (not sure why they were there because it was just a hallway with other treatment rooms, so I felt like it was to spite me). Overall, his technique was good and I tipped him based on that, but the experience itself was not relaxing. I did not feel welcome or respected by anyone on the staff. Please do not give them your business. I certainly won't make that mistake again. read more

Brand new and AMAZING. I do the reflexology quiet a bit and this is by far one of my favorite ones. Superbly clean and the chairs are very nice. I also love that the chairs turn into flat massage tables, only seen a few places with these. Makes it nice so you don't have to get up mid way and go to another room. If you guys haven't done reflexology before, check out Melissa L's post, great run down. I'm a fan and going back as many times as I can! read more

I just received a 75 minute full body massage. I purchase on groupon a while back and was really soar this week from hitting the gym so decided to go use it. Glad I did it was the best I have ever had. I saw peoples comments about it not being "swanky" it was $35 you want swanky go to Newport and pay $95. It was good enough for me. Literally head 2 toe. Every inch of my body was rubbed. I thought it was awesome it was a non traditional massage. The lady had awesome hands. She was using her arms and elbows too. The best part was she rubbed my feet forever it seemed like. I was actually a little sad when she said all done lol I will be back again. Shit probably every week now that I know a good massage place for a good price. read more

This place is right next to my gym so I thought it would be perfect for after workout sauna to detox and relax the muscles. Oh boy was I wrong. This place does not know how to run their infrared sauna they get you in there when it's still on warming cycle at only like 80 degrees and have sauna warm up while you already in your session, 40 min go by and you already at the end of your sauna and it's only barely 120 degrees. I have done infrared sauna many times and this one is by far worst sauna I ever went to. I have more sessions left of my Groupon and I don't plan on wasting my time and even using them. Went to purify sauna in Costa Mesa few days ago and it was night and day experience compared to this place, they have their sauna heated at 150 off the bat and it goes up to 160 while you using it. Tip to the owners: Learn how to properly operate your sauna rooms before offering the services. read more

I concur with a prior review my Renee on 10/31. Everytime I called and mentioned groupon, they would say they are all booked. Even two days in advance and they are still all booked. I would definitely never recommend this establishment to anyone. Don't bother buying the Groupon deal. It will take you time to call and get a credit back to your credit card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!! read more

I purchased a 75 min massage Groupon and redeemed it last night. I was hesitant due to some of the reviews but hey - I already bought the Groupon so I might as well try them out. Well, I sure am glad I did! Apple did my massage and she was wonderful. I had some concerns of my neck and shoulders, which she addressed and I feel wonderful today! I will be back. The ONLY reason I am not giving 5 stars is because they only covered you with a very light sheet and I was cold. I will be back. read more

They don't know any English, the masseuse wouldn't move from the same area of my body unless I pointed to a different area. Everything he did inflicted more pain rather than relax me I felt bad so I still paid and tipped him read more

Groupon deal here, too. Worth $35? I think so (and yes, the regular price for the 75 minute massage is only $5 more than the Groupon price). In order to have a good experience, you need to know what to expect. Also, ask for a female therapist (I had "Tina"). Would I go here again? Perhaps for a foot massage only (I saw a room of comfy-looking chairs that looks like it was for this purpose). BFD: lack of privacy. There were peep holes in the doors to the private massage rooms that were intended for people in the hallway to look IN!! OMG! I can't believe no one else mentioned this. That made me feel extremely uncomfortable from the get-go. I was really hesitant to undress and wondered if they had any hidden cameras around. Also, privacy-wise, my masseuse didn't close the door all the way and she was a bit flippy with the much too small cover up sheet so I felt exposed sometimes, especially when she put the foot soak on the table and lifted my feet up and over into it (YIKES!). Overall, it was a good massage, but it was very, very firm. They didn't do any kind of intake form (I'm used to places like Massage Envy and Glen Ivy), nor did the masseuse ask me any questions about problem areas, desired pressure, etc. (I don't think she spoke English). She did do really good work on upper back knots, though! Oh, and make sure you're prepared for the percussion thwacking just as you get relaxed from the 15 minute foot massage :( A shot of adrenaline with your massage anyone? I suppose the facility was clean enough. The carpets are old, walls are very thin and the bathroom fan is so loud you can't hear the music if you're in the room next to it. I really think the place could use a makeover to improve atmosphere, but there wasn't anything gross that I could see or smell. Something I thought was impressive: when I was checking in, the receptionist had someone call to schedule an appt to redeem a Groupon. The deal is expiring on Monday and he told the lady on the phone that he was extending the value for one more week because they were all booked up for that weekend with people trying to use their Groupons at the last minute (like me, haha). He didn't have to do that and I thought it was courteous of him. read more

Terrible place, they dont honor groupon and keep cheating saying they are fully booked. When my wife called from another number , they said she can come anytime with Cash payment. For past 2 weeks I am trying for an appointment. I have raised complaint with Groupon for refund. Cheaters!! Avoid this place at all cost read more

Bought a groupon because it was a great deal but I get the sense that they treat groupon customers differently than regular customers. That difference is a big deal in my opinion. It was hard to find an appointment time, not sure if they slot in different patients depending on if they are groupon or not. They don't speak ver coherently over the phone so it is hard to figure out what they are trying to say. Perhaps they need a better phone system as well. When I did get in however, the massage was decent which is what warrants more than just 1 star but this is definitely a "meh, i've experienced better" type of situation. read more

It's been a while since I've had a massage, but it was much needed. My friend found this place and we decided to give it a try. For $25 - 60 minute massage is not a bad deal at all, we made an appointment in the evening and that was not a problem at all. It was really quiet when we arrived which was nice to have the room pretty much to ourselves for the first 45 minutes. It was relaxing, however the random talking between the ladies gets annoying. They only did it a few times, but still. You do get what you pay for. They really do head to toe. They massage your head (Which could be improved) Your face, arms, legs, hips, feet. My favorite is the foot massage and the back massage/stretching with the hips. It was very relaxing and comfortable, for the price I would come back again. read more

The worse customer service ever and I already have low expectations for these type of establishments. Came here in person to schedule a massage for Monday morning on Friday afternoon. Showed up on Monday and the same sour faced lady said she has no record of my appointment. Even with my Chinese, they won't apologize or try to find an alternative solution. Mind you, it's 10:30 AM on a Monday! How busy can you be? With so many good foot massage establishments, don't buy a groupon for this place and spend your money else where. read more

Worst customer service ever!!!! I'm Asian but not Chinese and even I made it clear that I'm not Chinese and I didn't understand whatever they were saying, they still talked to me in Chinese. The lady was angry because I was late 10 mins. When the lady was supposed to take me to the sauna room, she just walked there herself and left me figuring out what to do. Sauna room is a joke comparing to Korean sauna places. I still have 2 sessions, not gonna come back nor give it to any one. read more

I used the Groupon deal! Such a great deal too!! I'm not sure why I'm seeing all the negative comments about the difficulty of making a reservation. I booked for a next day and got the booking immediately with no problem! What I got completely exceeded my expectations! Complete head 2 toe; they weren't kidding! Gina made me feel so good afterwards, I felt like I just cheated on my husband! Gina found knots on my body that I didn't even know I had. She worked extra hard on all the knots in my back...and I had so many knots!!! Loved it so much...I tipped $20. Yup...$20!! No regret at all! Gina is amazing and I will definitely be back! read more

Well I will say I was Leary to go back my husband bought me a 3-pack massage and my first experience was not the best. But I did hear about the certain woman that is amazing and her name is Cindy. I just had a 75 minute head to toe literally from the tips of your head to reflexology on your feet finished with a hot towel treatment all over your body. They even soak your feet in warm water while they're rubbing your head . I think that she is magical and knew exactly what I needed. It's unfortunate their English isn't better because she would be a millionaire at doing what she does. read more

I bought the deal from Amazon for my bf and I. We got 2 chinese ladies who were very loud and talkative in the beginning. They both were fighting over on who to massage me. I thought it was funny. The instruction we received were pretty vague. We didn't know what to do after we undressed. The 2 ladies laughed at us. Anyways, the massage was pretty ok. If it wasn't for the hot stone...I wouldn't go here. read more

I too purchased a Groupon for Head to Toe massage and Foot Reflexology and after reading some of the reviews starting having doubts about going. Some of you are right, it's not elegant like many spas we have all been too. The place is small - nothing fancy or elegant. The ambiance was okay, they did have music playing in the room. I didn't like the fact that the masseuse kept coming in and out of the room, it was very distracting to me. Also be prepared the masseuse does get on top of the table at some point to apply pressure on your back. When they say head to toe massage you will get a head to toe massage. So if you don't like your booty being massaged or somewhat exposed then I suggest you not go there. Helen, my masseuse did an excellent job. I came out of there feeling so much better. As to whether I would go there again, I would. read more

My husband and I got the Groupon coupons as gifts from family so we decided to cash it in for a morning of pampering last weekend. I called to make an appointment and they had an opening Saturday morning at 10:30am for two people so we happily took it. I'm a stress ball and carry a lot of weight on my shoulders so I got a masseur (male). I was put in a private room and the gentleman was good and professional. He didn't speak much except for the occasional checking to make sure the pressure is okay. He had strong hands and was able to work out some my knots! I tipped $20 for my 75 minute full body massage. This place does concentrate on your feet so it took some time to adjust but it was very nice to have my feet massaged! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! This place is simply the worst. I was gifted 2 separate 75min massages for my birthday and didn't even go back for the second. The lady burped and coughed the whole time in my face with no mask. I purchased the sea salt foot scrub and all they did was fill up a trash can with water and put my toes into it... my feet couldn't fit in the little tiny trash can. The actual massage was more of her just punching me randomly. It did not for a moment feel good. She pulled out a ton of my hair. And then had the audacity to yell at me for a bigger tip when I was finally released from that torture chamber. I only tipped her at all because both women chased me down and yelled at me to tip. This place is horrible and should be put out of business. The women who run the place make you feel extremely uncomfortable and they all act terribly unprofessional. YOU WILL LEAVE THIS PLACE FEELING VIOLATED. read more

This place is not the real deal. Bought a Groupon to try it out, but very creepy. The place is shaggy, and I believe the owners and employees are not masseurs. Bought the deal through Groupon and I will never go to a different massage place again! My Head 2 Toe is extremely relaxing!! They darken the room, play relaxing music, and help you relax and destress. They don't try and sell you on any extras or anything special which is nice. They women that do the massaging are thorough and professional. They take their time and make sure that you are getting the best experience possible. I was afraid that because we bought the Groupon deal, they would give a crummy massage that went with the cheaper price we paid, but with the quality massage, you would think you paid at least $80! The man at the front desk is also very helpful and polite; trying to help make the experience what you want and need it to be. Recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing massage at an amazing price. read more
