Last year, a friend of mine told me about the amazing experience she and her husband had at Mind Prossage when they were in the area for their anniversary. She said "you have to treat yourself and leave the desert heat to experience how great it is and you don't need an appointment!" I live in the Palm Desert area where we have triple digit heat and humidity during this time of year. It's awful! I had been under the weather all last week, in addition to being stressed and I remembered the high praise my friend gave this place. I got up early yesterday and drove to Del Mar. I called on my way and made an appointment because I wanted to do a few things in the area first. Where do I begin with how exceptional my experience was? At the front door your greeted by the friendliest receptionist! One of the masseuse, Tischa was in the lobby when I entered and she too was so welcoming! You literally step into Thailand culture. Tischa, ended up being my masseuse and she immediately impressed me with her client - centered approach. She took the time to listen and understand how to address my body aches from being under the weather and stressed. Tischa, carefully and accurately applied her certified skill to all the areas of my body and face and I kept thinking to myself "This massage is so amazing, and exactly what I needed." I knew before she finished that I would be a once or twice a month repeat customer depending on my schedule in the desert where I live, since I also travel out of town. I have had other massages at other places, in my travels and here in the desert and have never been wowed to return. I stopped going for massages almost a year ago which is why my friend mentioned Prossage because I shared my disappointment about other places that I had been. Please don't let the location of where Prossage sits in the corner cause you to hesitate. From the moment you walk in, you will be welcomed into what I now would say is a corner of Heaven! My results were amazing and sooooo needed! When I was served a delicious cup of tea at the end of my session, I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with two other masseuse named Lily and Tanya. I shared with them about how I ended up at Prossage because my friend loved it so much and it took me a year to show up but I would now be a repeat customer because driving to have Tischa as my masseuse or anyone of them is something I look forward to. I told them I know what Christmas gifts I will be giving to my friends and family and that is gift cards to here. I can't wait until my sister is in town from the East coast, because she is going to love Possage as well as everyone else I send there. I think Stephanie was the name of the receptionist and she was so sweet! Everyone at Mind Prossage has exceptional customer service and a desire to balance your mind, body and spirit in their DNA! Bravo! I would have given Prossage 10 stars, if it was possible! Hopefully this review is a reflection of 10 stars. I awoke today with no ailments after a wonderful night of sleep without any interruptions. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again. I look forward to seeing all of you again in two weeks. Amazing place! read more

I never go on Yelp but this place deserves an honest and encouraging review. Honestly, this place is an oasis. You literally feel like you've just walked into a gorgeous oriental and serene spa. The interior is so calming, and the massage therapists there are amazingly welcoming. You're greeted by a super friendly staff and then they take you into one of the back rooms where you lie on the floor or on an elevated bed. These beds are so comfortable!! When they start massaging you, it's like you transport! They're so professional and they'll ask whether you like your massages soft, medium or hard. Then, the amazing massages and stretching begins. This place isn't like other places because the women who have given me massages here literally use their whole bodies to massage you. I can tell they really care about my experience and about their craft. I've gotten massages everywhere, and many different types, but the Thai massages at Mind Prossage are truly one of a kind. They massage and stretch you - I love it. I brought my boyfriend there who is a rockclimber and he loved it too. I went with a couple girlfriends once and they were raving about it too. Honestly, this place is an amazing deal. Usually massage places charge a crazy amount and you don't feel that much better after going. This place is AFFORDABLE and AMAZING. You feel absolutely amazing even after an hour. Try it out -I read more

I had…read morejust ended a 2-day conference where I was on my feet all day in heels and sorely needed a foot massage. I called this place and they were ready to take me in 15 minutes. when I arrived, they asked for payment upfront. this is highly unusual and nowhere else that offers any kind of service (spa, salon, etc.) takes payment upfront. this should've been my first clue that clients often dispute the charges, so this is why they take it before the service. when i entered the massage area, I realized that you dont get your own room, and your massage bed is not partitioned, so its. shared room with about 10 beds. what ended up happening is that the guy next to me fell asleep and snored very loudly the ENTIRE time of my massage. obviously this prevents any sort of relaxation. so, effectively my massage was ruined. I could not ignore it and it was so so annoying to have to listen to. as far as my masseuse, there were a couple issues there too. first, the entire time he focused on the center section of my foot, he did not touch the toes or the heel. this place advertises itself as reflexology, and the toes are a major part of that. so that was extremely disappointing and I could've really used that part of the foot massage. if youre going to have a one-hour massage focused only on the feet, you have to do the ENTIRE foot, I felt like this is just obvious. however, I couldn't communicate with him at all as he doesnt speak english. second, he used SO much lotion, my feet felt like they were swimming in a swamp during the entire massage. it was horrible, and he couldnt get any real traction because of the insane amount of lotion. finally, at the end I tipped him about 13%, because I felt like he tried his best, however the overall environment there, plus his skills, was lacking. as we walked out, he walked through the door into the lobby and let it close in front of my face rather than holding it open for me. when I entered the lobby, the receptionist asked me how the service was. I told him about the snoring. he did not apologize, but instead said he could discount my service but could I please tip the masseuse more, since that wasn't his fault. then I explained the issue with the masseuse. he sad he would talk to him about it, and didn't end up discounting my service. this is the first time EVER in my entire life i have had someone ask me to tip more. not at any restaurant, bar, salon, spa, etc. has anyone ever said that, because it's common social etiquette that you NEVER ask for more tip, ESPECIALLY when you're told that there's a problem with the experience and/or service. this blew my mind that the masseuse ran to the receptionist right away to complain about his tip. and still no one apologized to me! needless to say, I will never come back!!
