She is the BEST. Hence, it took seversl times of sessions and mostly 90 minutes of sessions for 3 weeks as my issues are big but they were so worth it. I was able to sleep 5-6 hours after the first 2 sessions. After the last session I was able to sleep 8 hours! No more insomnia. My body was all sore, tight, and ache-y and Kim knew it. She asked when was the last time I had a massage? Lol. Well more than a year ago! She gave hard massages so beware of the pressure but I love this kind of massage since it will fix my body. I came out as a brand new person. This is the best massage you can get. I am also a 15-years customer of this place. Unfortunately, for the amount I spent and the quality of the experience I received, I felt like I needed to share it. I came here as a birthday experience and had really high hopes. The sauna and ice bath portion was actually great and probably the best part of my visit. Unfortunately, the one-hour massage was extremely disappointing. My total ended up being around $319 after everything, which made the overall value feel even worse considering how unhappy I was with the massage. I booked a lymphatic/Brazilian lymphatic massage and expected a much more effective and intentional treatment, especially for nearly $200. Instead, the massage was so gentle that I actually found myself feeling more stressed than relaxed. A lot of it felt like very light surface-level rubbing on my arms and legs. I have had several lymphatic massages before, so I had something to compare this experience to, and unfortunately this was by far my least enjoyable one. My massage therapist was Brittany, and I personally did not feel that the technique matched the quality I would expect at this price point. The wooden rollers used during the Brazilian lymphatic portion were also applied so lightly that I barely felt like they were doing anything. The gua sha portion on my face was disappointing as well. When she was using two gua sha tools at the same time, the movements felt mismatched and uncoordinated, to the point where it did not feel effective at all. It came across as very minimal effort. At one point, a hot towel was placed on me that was hot enough to make my body flinch. I immediately said that it was too hot, and what bothered me was that there was no apology or acknowledgment afterward. It is rare for me to spend an entire massage wishing it would end, but that was honestly how I felt. If I am spending almost $200 for one hour, I expect to leave feeling relaxed and like the treatment was worth the money. Instead, I left disappointed and frustrated, especially because this was supposed to be part of my birthday celebration. What made the experience worse was being asked about a 20% tip even after I had expressed that the massage was not what I expected. I understand tipping is customary, but given that I had already communicated my disappointment, the interaction felt uncomfortable. The sauna/ice bath experience was enjoyable, so I cannot say everything about Wrens was bad. But based on the massage experience and the overall price I paid, I personally would not return for a massage here. I called this place and they were ready to take me in 15 minutes. when I arrived, they asked for payment upfront. this is highly unusual and nowhere else that offers any kind of service (spa, salon, etc.) takes payment upfront. this should've been my first clue that clients often dispute the charges, so this is why they take it before the service. when i entered the massage area, I realized that you dont get your own room, and your massage bed is not partitioned, so its. shared room with about 10 beds. what ended up happening is that the guy next to me fell asleep and snored very loudly the ENTIRE time of my massage. obviously this prevents any sort of relaxation. so, effectively my massage was ruined. I could not ignore it and it was so so annoying to have to listen to. as far as my masseuse, there were a couple issues there too. first, the entire time he focused on the center section of my foot, he did not touch the toes or the heel. this place advertises itself as reflexology, and the toes are a major part of that. so that was extremely disappointing and I could've really used that part of the foot massage. if youre going to have a one-hour massage focused only on the feet, you have to do the ENTIRE foot, I felt like this is just obvious. however, I couldn't communicate with him at all as he doesnt speak english. second, he used SO much lotion, my feet felt like they were swimming in a swamp during the entire massage. it was horrible, and he couldnt get any real traction because of the insane amount of lotion. finally, at the end I tipped him about 13%, because I felt like he tried his best, however the overall environment there, plus his skills, was lacking. as we walked out, he walked through the door into the lobby and let it close in front of my face rather than holding it open for me. when I entered the lobby, the receptionist asked me how the service was. I told him about the snoring. he did not apologize, but instead said he could discount my service but could I please tip the masseuse more, since that wasn't his fault. then I explained the issue with the masseuse. he sad he would talk to him about it, and didn't end up discounting my service. this is the first time EVER in my entire life i have had someone ask me to tip more. not at any restaurant, bar, salon, spa, etc. has anyone ever said that, because it's common social etiquette that you NEVER ask for more tip, ESPECIALLY when you're told that there's a problem with the experience and/or service. this blew my mind that the masseuse ran to the receptionist right away to complain about his tip. and still no one apologized to me! needless to say, I will never come back!!
