Very professional and clean great massages great prices can't say enough good things about this place!!

I had my qualms about trying this place out, but regardless I decided to give it a shot. This was a Living Social deal for $35 for 75 minutes of massage and reflexology and included a milk salt foot bath. In actuality, it's only really $5 off the regular price and they throw in the originally $10 milk salt bath that doesn't feel any different from your feet soaking in regular water (And it probably was just water. They cover your eyes so you can't see what you're dipping your feet in). During the massage, they leave the door wider than a crack open while your crotch faces the door as you are completely naked under the covers. So try not to tent your covers up or get your eagle on unless you want other patrons passing by to see what you're packing. They only close the door when the therapist goes out to get a hot towel, linens, etc. No clue why. They are also in and out of the room pretty frequently with the door scraping the carpet and latching down kind of loud, which gets annoying real quick. During the massage, my therapist would cough and I could hear her try to bring up her mucus (eck!). They also use watered down massage oil and try to play it off calling it "organic." The massage was not the worst I've had, but it certainly wasn't anything that would have me returning. The highlight of my visit was the end when I asked the therapist to break a $10 bill, in which she essentially refused to give me my change and insisted she keep the entire $10. I'm not a cheap ass, but I did not think her massage was deserving of a 25% tip. However, I was not about to argue with the shameless wench, so I turned and walked back into the lobby in which a homeless man with no shoes and dirty ass feet was performing yoga on the lobby floor. Seriously, WTF?! This is not my first time receiving a massage at an Asian massage parlor, so please don't think I'm some snooty Burke Williams regular with nothing to do but complain about sub-par service.However, I will definitely not be returning. Not worth my drive out of Irvine. I normally don't write reviews to bash businesses but I would not recommend this place. The therapist's attitude really left a bad taste in my mouth. But if you do decide to give this place a try, bring exact change for tip and FYI, they'll also charge you a dollar to use a credit card or debit card to tip. And if you don't make an appointment, expect a wasted trip out to this place. They'll send you home and have you come back two days later. read more

I left with a bruise on my back. Seeing the previous reviews I thought I would have gotten a decent massage. I get massages often and actually prefer these hole in the wall places because I know they can get the job done. Boy was I wrong about this one. My masseuse was definitely inexperienced and was just harshly rubbing as opposed to massaging. I asked her TWICE if she could have someone else come instead because I was extremely tense and can literally feel my knots so I need someone who is able to give a PROPER deep tissue massage. She said no one else was there and she can do it. Her version of deep tissue massage was being more rough and aggressive than she was before. The table was literally shaking because she was so unnecessarily rough. On the drive home my back was bothering me. Come to find out, I have a bruise on my back from this woman. She had no idea what she was doing. Basically, no deep tissue massage, no relaxation whatsoever, no reflexology (my nail tech does a much better job), oh and I still left with knots and gained a bruise. Based on previous reviews I almost cancelled my appointment today. I had purchased a Groupon which seems to be a concern in the reviews but I figured any massage was better than no massage. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the woman at the front desk. She asked for my information and my coupon (when I made my appointment I made sure to include that I had purchased the Groupon) and I was taken to my room right away. As another reviewer pointed out, this is not a fancy spa where you receive fruit infused water, a robe and a room to relax in. This place is straight to the point. So, if you're looking for the extra spa features this may not be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a good massage this place is great. When I got into the room it took about three minutes for my masseuse to show up which gave me more than enough time to get ready and get onto the table. The table was comfortable and it looked and felt clean. From the moment the massage started until the end of the massage, I was completely content and satisfied. My masseuse was WONDERFUL. She made sure to ask my preference in pressure and kept that exact pressure throughout the massage. When it was over I wanted more but only because it was so good and I wasn't ready for it to be over. I wish I had gotten the name of my masseuse but I was so relaxed after that it just slipped my mind. I'm not one to leave bad Yelp reviews but in fairness, this review is to inform others. The 15 minute "foot soak" consists of laying upright on a "massage table" while they bend your legs in an awkward position to place your feet in an oversized bucket of warm water and concurrently massage your neck and head at the same time. A light is left on in the room during your massage. The gentleman who massaged me was polite but I believe he was either the owner or the owners husband and not actually a licensed masseuse. They don't have you fill out any paperwork asking about prior injuries or pressure preference. While laying upright he pulled my arms above my head as to stretch them I suppose and then proceeded to pinch my underarm fat. He left the room a total of 4X and occasionally sat on the table while massaging me. After this first half of my massage was completed while laying on my back, he asked me to turn over to massage my back. The table appeared more like a tattoo table. No head rest available so my face actually smashed in to the table ruining my eyelash extensions. My butt was karate chopped. Finally, when it was over I dressed and went to the front where he gave me a glass of water. Out of business courtesy I called the business ahead of time to see if they have appointment available for full body massage before I purchase the Groupon. The receptionist murmur gibberish then told me the manager will call me but hung up before taking my number. I called back and the lady abruptly said no Groupon appointment available today. So I agree to book a foot massage without Groupon deals. The massage was terrible!!!! The masseuse was an elderly man that fell asleep during my massage session 4x. The time that he was awake he was not putting enough pressure for an effective massage. When I flipped over for my back massage it got significantly better. They made me feel like an inconvenience event though i had an appointment and i had special groupon deal and even though they saw my paid receipt on the app, they actually claimed that was non existed. the deal was 29 but they wanted to null groupon and charge me full price plus 20% trip gratuity and from the start there was no great. the door was actually locked even though i called 5 min in advance and it took them about another 5 min to begrudgingly open the door like i was the nuisance. then the proceeded to treat me like a criminal i honestly felt i was in mafia movie. it was the most off-putting least friendly salon i have ever been too and i love to explore hole in the wall cute places like this I've been doing it for more than a decade. I debated between three stars and four on this one as the massage was really fantastic, but the ambiance and atmosphere were not the typical relaxing environment you'd get at a spa. I really have no preference to male or female, but was a little nervous after some of the negative things I've read on Yelp about one of the male therapists. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I've had my fair share of massages and the masseuse that I had (Frank) did a fantastic job. He was a bit firmer than I would normally like, but I had a migraine earlier that day and really wanted something to help alleviate it. He started with the foot bath and the head/neck portion, which was pure relaxation. The back massage was probably where he was digging in the most and I really don't care how heavy he's breathing, he was awesome. The place is simple, the room I was in was a bit hot that day and the place is very much no-frills, but I felt 100% better than I did earlier that day. I wasn't looking for a spa day--I just really needed to de-stress and get rid of my headache. Both were accomplished and you cannot beat the price. I bought a groupon $35 for a 75min massage. I was so excited because I had really bad neck pain for a while. I was disappointed from the moment I got in. It felt rushed. Most massage places let you unwind before getting a massage in a dark room. Also I was bummed that I couldn't pick if I wanted a male or female massage therapist. I had a male which made me uncomfortable from the get go. Probably within the first 10min massage I heard him burp...how is that relaxing? It's disgusting as hell. Some parts of the massage was relaxing until he got to my back and was very rough, it was painful. THE WORST PART WAS he did some move at the end where I laid on my stomach and crossed my arms in front of my head and he lifted my arms in the air...which exposed my breasts...so uncomfortable and awkward. Just got a massage at this place today. I bought two Groupons for the 75 minute massage for me and my sister. We were a bit skeptical at first because it doesn't initially look like the swanky massage places we've been to before. But we got to share a room which was nice. We started on our back and when they first walked in they put our feet in a bucket of warm water (which was probably the most awkward part cause right when they walked in our legs were in the air). Meanwhile we got a nice upper body massage for about 20 minutes. Then a foot massage and a little more upper body. Then we turned over and got a FULL body massage. No muscles were spared...they dug in and it was great. My complaint with masseurs is usually that they go just a bit too soft. But these ladies did amazing. Not the most elegant or luxurious interior but I won't complain, especially because the service was good. I'd recommend it to people who aren't uptight on little details but really just want a good massage. read more

I was somewhat hesitant after reading the tons of mediocre/not so hot reviews AFTER I already purchased my Groupon. Nevertheless, I went in to give my Groupon a go. Sure, I noticed the sign, too, which made the Groupon be not such a great deal - but hey - as a marketer, I understand you sometimes need to do what you have to do to get folks in the door. Lauren K. mentioned holes in the walls; whew - that made me a little nervous before I went in for my massage. On the contrary, my room was entirely private and fully in tact - whew! (I was in the last room on the right side of the hallway, before the bend) As for the massage itself, I had a masseuse named Apple. And all in all, the massage was three stars - A-OK. It wasn't like a massage by a licensed, trained professional. But it did release some tension and make me a little looser. I do have some problem areas and did have a few knots in my back; however, they were touched upon but not addressed as a normal therapist would. I suppose, if I really want to get at the root of my pain, I need to see a proper therapist. I bought a Groupon here for a 75min massage. To be honest, I'd only ever gone to Burke Williams or a resort spa, but since my parents weren't paying for it, here I come with my fancy Groupon. It put Burke Williams to shame! Not the service, store front or snacks, just the massage. The woman in the front was a bet intense, and short with me. My masseuse was very kind, and would confirm if the pressure was alright. I felt comfortable and the room was very clean. When the massage was over, she handed me a cup of water. I believe in tipping always, and especially when you get such a great deal be more generous. They still work just as hard, no exceptions. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here. I tried to book more than two weeks in advance and got "rejected" via email. "Dear customer, I'm sorry , your booking request was rejected.Please choose another day! Thank you." - Why? I chose this day as the only reasonable time (not 11 AM on a weekday) out of all of the crazy inconvenient available times.. what is there to reject? Their appointment times are ridiculous for anyone that holds a full time job so for them to tell me that I got rejected for a time that I picked from a schedule THEY provided is completely unprofessional and ridiculous - ESPECIALLY when it's weeks in advance. Waiting more than two weeks to get a massage was too much for me already; being unexplainably finicky and sending random rejections is just the cherry on top they really didn't need to provide. I've been to a few Chinese/Thai massage places before and this is no different. You get in, get a massage, and you get out. No dilly dallying around! Receptionist is your typical older Asian lady with very little English speaking skills. I don't think they're rude like some reviewers have said. Don't bother with the Groupons, coupons, their prices are reasonable and just as good! They offer bulk packages too for cheap. The place is decent, it was too cluttered or dirty. They should be using all white towels though. Some of my towels were tan, brown, and green??? How do you know if they're really clean if they're not white?! I came in on a Tuesday afternoon, only a few people here. I got a relaxing 60 min massage, $25, from a gentleman-he wasn't so bad, decent pressure; and a 40 min far infrared sauna session, $10 (5 session package.) The massage was great but I was literally chased out of the building with the lady yelling at me that I didn't leave a tip in the room. I have already exited the front door and was going to run to my car because I forgot to bring cash inside. Half way down the staircase she comes running out after me screaming to get back up there and that "I only paid for my massage, NO TIP" she kept telling me to get back up there and that they accept card. This is the "WORST" massage experience I've ever had and I've had many massages. To start off I normally read reviews but I no it can be hit or miss sometimes with these places, but this was much worse than a miss. It started off by the receptionist leaving me in the room for 10 minutes with the light on while they worked out if they had anyone available, the time I'm paying for in my 90 minuet massage, there wasn't so the receptionist came in and started massaging me like a piece of meat, it was clear she had no idea what she was doing or cared at all, then after about 10 mins another woman comes in and they start having a conversation, she takes over from the receptionist, I was already at this point ready to stop the massage and walk out, but thought maybe this new lady will make up for it bearing in mind 15 minutes of my massage had already been waisted. Well let me just say she had no idea how to massage either and completely soaked me in oil, it was gross. I was so mad at this point, I came there with a friend and both wanted to just destress after a long week instead it was the opposite. I asked the lady massaging to please stop, she could not speak any English just like the receptionist, so you can't even communicate with them there. I asked her to get me a towel so I can wipe myself off and leave. I complained to the receptionist at the front desk who didn't seem to understand anything I was saying except that I was very unhappy and had to stop the massage early. The woman that was massaging me came out and the receptionist then started shouting at her, she was clearly untrained and or inexperienced because I was so uncomfortable with the whole experience I had to stop the terrible service. I normally don't write many reviews on Yelp and I've given great reviews for other places that deserve it, but in this case I think it is important to leave this review so this establishment maybe gets this message that they need to "SERIOUSLY" look at their business and how they treat paying customers. I bought a Group On to use for me and my boyfriend. I was superexcited and thought it was great we were in the same room. I also was curious what the scrub would be like. The two ladies brought two buckets and placed our feet in it. Then she massaged which felt great. I kept thinking since our feet were placed up why our feet were placed in the buckets. Then she took the buckets out and did not even give us a scrub. I was dissapointed and disgusted because the lady that gave me the scrub burped even thought she was wearing a mask. First time here. Gina was fantastic. She gave me a 30-minute super hard deep massage for gluteal pain, mostly. I don't know how long the effect will last, but she really got the knot out for the time being. Everyone was nice and friendly, prompt, professional. Gina gave me jasmine tea afterward. No problems with booking, but when I showed up for my morning appointment, I was told the room was still being prepared. 20 minutes later I was ushered into a small, cold room with a massage table and what looked like a bath towel for a sheet. Uh, the "sheet" barely covered my torso and sure enough, when the male masseuse was adjusting the towel my girls were briefly exposed. That's when I noticed the little peephole in the door. What?! I couldn't relax after that, and my teeth were chattering from the cold. I should have stopped the session but my stubborn alter ego ordered me to get my money's worth. Fail. What really pisses me off is that the male masseuse (most likely the same one in someone else's review) also practically laid on my wife who came home crying about feeling violated. That he continuously was moving his down on her butt and brushing against her breasts. Luckily my wife is nice enough that she would not let me go down there after seeing her in tears. So this is the best I can do. She won't let me call either since they take down all of your contact info. We were there today for a couples massage. I thought I was on a hidden camera show for the strangest experience. The room was so small my table was moved back and fourth with me on it just so she can walk around. My masseuse got me relaxed but broke the silence with a burp. A loud belch with no, excuse me. Just when I thought that was strange a few minutes later she farted. Like just let it rip. Plus, the two talked and talked to the point I tried to cough and clear my throat to break up the conversation. However, I don't discourage you. With all that noise my massage itself wasn't that bad. The place is clean, I had relaxing moments and the body noise may have been an isolated incident. Keep a low expectation and they may surprise you with a better experience. read more

If you're expecting Burke Williams, turn around and go there. This is not Burke Williams. It's a hole in the wall Asian massage parlor with employees who don't speak much English and decor that is from Ikea and probably China's version of Ikea. That's not to say you'll have a bad experience. Just go there knowing what to expect. Yes, it's in a weird location. Upstairs from Jo-Ann's in the K-Mart shopping center. You have to take stairs up. The waiting room is small, but you're not meant to be in there very long. Yes, the decor is tacky and very Asian. But remember where you are - in an ASIAN massage parlor. The guy at the front desk is nice and will chat you up if you want. He walks you to your room, if you're getting a private massage, and explains, in detail, exactly what the massage therapist will be doing to you in which areas of your body and for how many minutes. He also asks you what kind of pressure you would like to receive. TELL HIM THE TRUTH! And if he assumes - correct him. This is the only way to get the massage you want. That was my only mistake. I said medium to hard and should have said light to medium. Because I'm a baby when it comes to tough massages. And TELL HIM if you don't want certain areas addressed. They are massage therapists not mind readers. Yes, the "upgrade" to a milk foot bath is questionable because you can't actually see what's in the bucket. But seriously, you're going to complain about getting a 75 minute massage for $35? And yes, the "upgrade" to organic massage oil is questionable because what the heck is the difference between the two? But again, you're going to complain about that when you only paid $35? Frank - he was good. He got some kinks out that have been hanging out for ages. And if I LOVED really hard massages, he would be even better. But, I'm a baby, and I'm asking for less pressure next time. Go ahead, try this place out. It's totally affordable for the kind and length of massage you are getting. I think I am in the minority here. I didn't enjoy my experience here much. I bought the Groupon as many others did and redeemed it after the deadline. The man who answered the phone was really nice and accommodating and made sure I got a female therapist (some of the stories from Yelp led to this decision). It is in the Jo-Ann's plaza which is a confusing place, but I did find it. I was a little early for my appointment, so when I walked in, I didn't think I'd get service right away but I did. The place, as others have mentioned, is really barebones. Thin carpets, cheap doors. Not the most inviting place. There is a decent enough waiting room with some water and magazines. I was brought into the room with some instructions on what to do, how much to keep on, etc. A thin sheet was all I had to cover myself and there was no music in the room. My therapist entered a few minutes later with the bucket for reflexology. I noticed she didn't shut the door completely which made me uncomfortable. She also didn't speak much English so I couldn't tell her what was comfortable for me. She did a nice massage on my neck, and the foot reflexology was really nice, but when I was feeling the massage to be too deep, she didn't adjust the pressure. So I was anxious the entire time. My feet did feel good but at a price. The real pain began after I turned onto my stomach. The pressure was too deep and, while I hadn't experienced a full body massage before, I felt a little invaded. I felt she was getting to the bone and it hurt. I couldn't wait for it to be over. I thought I'd feel the effects the next day, but I didn't feel relaxed at all. She needs to work on her technique for sure. You get what you pay for. I've been to plenty of cheap massage places, and all of them have been way better then this place. First off, me and a friend got a group on, $35 for 75 minute massage. A crazy good deal right? Well..... Still not worth it. Now for all the problems we ran into: 1) the place is tiny, if you have a couples room, you only have one chair to put all of your clothes 2) the masseuses were whispering the ENTIRE time, I'm trying to relax and all I hear is them talking. Not professional and not an environment any one can relax in! 3) the masseuses leave randomly throughout the massage to grab hot towels or put away towels. That's fine to leave for little bit but they were gone for at least 5 minutes! How far are those towels?? 4) the lady in the front literally walked out of the building, followed us, and asked for a tip. I would have tipped well, if I thought it was a good job, but it wasn't.
