After taking my laptop to apple and then telling me they're going to charge me 795$ + tax to fix a part on my computer that they probably ruined (they previously fixed my laptop) i realized that apple is full of bogus, anyways I called around and found Sauls number, he'd been nothing but great help and offered me different kind of alternatives. I researched a number of options for computer repair (my Dell laptop) in the San Fernando Valley. I researched small shops and large (Fry's and Best Buy). I called them to get a quote and was surprised that it was nearly 1/2 the price of what other places were quoting for the repair job. And while Fry's said it would be 5-8 days, this shop said they could do it the same day or overnight at the longest. The technician who helped me was Saul Montano. He has been in the business for 30 years and was very professional and pleasant. He was confident about the work that he does and had done this particular repair countless times. He lived up to his word. The job was as he quoted it on the phone (not a penny more), I brought it late in the day so it was done the following morning. It is working beautifully now. And I have a 3 month warranty at no additional fee. If I ever have a computer need, I will return to this shop. I feel like I've made a great discovery with this business. When my iMac started to take minutes to perform functions that should have taken seconds, I brought it into the local Apple store. They ran diagnostic tests and told me the hard drive may be fragmented. They suggested wiping the hard drive clear and restoring it to its original state. I would have to reinstall all my software. Instead I searched for Mac repair in my area and found My Fave Tech. Saul turned the computer on, looked at the properties, and within three minutes told me that the latest iOS had exceeded my hardware. I had a laptop problem and was interested to find an alternative to the Apple Store. I can't stand the way the "Greeters " ("Associates?" "Advisors"? Consultants"? "Facilitators"? "Functionaries"? "Gatekeepers"? whatever) descend like Moses from the iCloud with their tablets and then tell you you have to wait 90 minutes to two hours. After jumping through their hoops ( incl falling out of their system for a while), they recommended Frye's! Frye's was very helpful, but recommended Unitek. It was a Saturday and they weren't open. Sheesh. I took a chance with Saul and I'm glad I did. No glamour, no claims of a 'Genius Bar', just a smart friendly and capable fellow who fixed my Mac book in a day. Brought my computer in for repair. The owner called me and said he could solve the problem for $80.00 and for $160.00 he could restore it back to perfect. When I got the computer back to my office, the problem I brought it in for was still there. So I decided to check it out my self. For the $160.00 complete restore, they did not even run an anti-virus. When I dropped it again for them to for sure fix it, they told me it would be ready the next day, it's now been over 5 days and every time I call, he tells me it will be ready in few hours and he will call me to pick it up. He told me that on a Weds, Thurs, Friday, Sat. and now on Monday he tells me the same thing. If I don't get my computer back today fixed, I told him I want my $160.00 back. My advise to you is FIND SOMEONE ELSE WHO IS PROFESSIONAL AND DOESN'T LIE TO YOU. read more

I was looking all over Los angles for a good repair company. I was calling everywhere getting quotes and this guy was so reasonable and very honest about the process witch i appreciated. By the way they speak Spanish as well. Saul gave me options and solutions to help work with me and see if i could get my Mac Book covered under warranty. Saul recommended everything but i knew i couldn't do the cheap way out. I needed up giving him my computer i had my screen cracked and i couldn't get it repaired under warranty.
