I made my way downstairs and received an eye plumping treatment, along with a complimentary EOS lip balm. The spa was running a Mother's Day Special and I decided to purchase a treatment for myself. Today, was my lucky day, I had my mini Swedish massage with Vanessa. All I can say is that she is a miracle worker. Her fingers pinpointed the exact spot that I had been having pain in for the past week. It was located right underneath my right shoulder blade. It was a knot and Vanessa worked on it and was able to loosen it up, thank God. I was able to relax, unwind, and just forget everything else. The atmosphere in the room was wonderful. I loved the background music and the heated bed was so comfortable. Vanessa's voice was soft spoken and she would explain what she was going to do, prior to doing it. She also wanted to make certain that I was no longer in pain and what my level was. She helped me work on my breathing and asked me to move my head so that she could figure out exactly what was causing the pain. She is definitely worth every single penny. I love that I have found a great Massage Therapist. I even bought another Mother's Day package just so I could try another spa treatment along with another massage. I almost never do anything for myself, I really haven't been in a salon since I was a child. I also never really learned how to take care of my curl pattern, and hid behind buns and braids all my life because I felt so ugly. I was also so very worried to lose any length because my late mother was so very attached to my long hair. But Lexi made me feel so heard, listened to, cared for and so very pretty. She made sure I could see every snip and talked me through it so I didn't feel as guilty. I texted Sarah who is the owner and asked her whether eyelash extensions would work for me and she quickly addressed my concerns, and so I took a chance and made my appointment.
