His family owned and operated a fireplace shop / ( started with his father) but he's closed that and down- sized nowadays. An Interesting tidbit is that, years ago, one of their employees experimented and invented the first version of a gas log. Anyway, I researched many companies and options and was very impressed by Jim's quick and respectful response. And, in addition, he works on Saturdays which really works for us because my husband and I both work during the week. from researching, I discovered that apparently, other companies tack on up charges for everything beginning with seaIing off the tube that burns the wood so that it could be converted to gas. Jim does not tack on these Kinds of extra fees although he did recommend that we wait for the seal to dry before going forward the following Week. When he showed us what he had for log choices, he could sense that I would accept one but l wouldn't be 100% happy. So, he told my husband thatI I wouldn't be happy and didn't want to Install the gas logI set he had. I called him and then he came out to install it and surprised me. He had Iooked through his storage warehouse and found the exact color and size that I preferred and had wanted. Our experience with Jim was, by far, the most down-to- earth, honest and prompt.
